I totally get your point. For me, I always prepare for the worst and I have the next 15 years planned out with triple backups.

I am not a religious person and have seen too many women/men suffer in marriage who should have been happier in a divorce.

I do not view marriage as a do-or-die affair and see divorce as a very viable option to avoid stories that touch the heart when the union is no longer feasible or just avoiding the union altogether.

I know exactly what I will do if confronted with such a situation and will ask for a divorce.

Honestly, I am not a Muslim but a Christian. My grandfather on the maternal side who is not a Muslim married five wives and they all lived together even though he was not very rich.
