mrvitalis: You teachers did a very bad job at teaching you basic economics, yoi should go get your money back. I mean did you just compare people paying "income" tax to asking people to pay for gabbage disposal? Education is really at its lowest in Nigeria. This shows yoi dont even know what tax is. Will America force a jobless man living on food stamps to pay tax? A man without an income? Are you telling me that everyone pays tax even those who dont have income in the US? You will force a house hold that doesnt pay 3k to pay N50M? even in Asokoro and Banana Island who will pay you the N50m not to talk of a state like this. A jobless father trying get food for hus family, calling friends for assistance, you think your 3k will be his priority and when he doesnt pay you charge another N50m E be like say you hit head for something, when you wake up come delete all these rubbish you write |

helinues: The fact that Spaghetti in crease to 900 while minimum wage remains the same is enough to tell you the increase to 100k may have little or no impact to the Price, there are other factors in play here..... Availability of substitute to Spaghetti, change in taste etc.. 1 Like |

mrvitalis: From other taxes. Improve your tax collection rate and efficiency from other avenues without necessarily including a new (sanitation) tax. |

helinues: So u think 75k per month is too much to pay a cleaner? In this economy? See why everyone is rushing to university and no one is learning trades anymore. Oya call all those daily wage workers and ask them to clear the Bush around your house and clean your gutter and hear how much they will charge you. |

helinues:Now u foolishly gave us the answer we are all looking for. From what u quote up there, it implies minimum wage or income didn't affect the price of the Golden penny, cause the minimum wage has been held constant. Apparently other economics factors such as unemployment, low level of technical knowhow and productions above all bad government policies lead to that. Definitely increase in minimum wage shouldn't bother u then cause I believe that's not the only factor that triggers inflation. Increase in the circulation or supply of money alone can never and will never leads to inflation of prices of goods and services. I wish I can school you, but your mind is politically shadowed to allow anyform of reasoning from the real world. Increase in minimum will result to increase in savings and thus when there's savings, it will lead to investment. How can one save from 30k if he buys spaghetti 900 naira pays school fees from an average family of 3 children? Or do u want to still remain unfortunate? |
