Baba relax yourself and stop ranting. We see how your IPOB terrorists hide under the protest to start attacking people of a particular region. The broadcast of your fake messiah Nnamdi Kanu is still online should be incase you have not seen it.

The property visited by the minister included Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA) Brigade office, Central Police station, Ogidi, Divisional Police Headquarters, also in Ogidi, Divisional Police Headquarters, Nnobi and Nnewi Central Police Station and barracks as well as the Area Command Headquarters, Nnewi.

Can you give me details of properties destroyed in Oyo state including politicians houses?
Lol, police stations and barracks were tops of the lists, (Anambra Revenue Service and Anambra Budget Office). Very sure both the revenue office and budget office had a portion broken not burnt. Any major destructions in Anambra or SE would have received major media coverage as Lagos had. No pictures, nothing of major destruction in SE. No properties of any politician destroyed but these ipob guys were jubilating that some properties belonging to their perceived enemies in Lagos were being burnt down.

Where is the tribalism here ? If you are collecting money from anyone that's fine but as for me I am not collecting anything from anyone or politicians. Mind you, I'm beyond your trick.

Unperturbedpota:

There you go again. All you can ever do is to spread tribalism. We all know you are paid by the politicians to keep the People divided.

The day of Waterloo people like you will be apprehended.

Don't worry

Honestly oh, it is uncanny watching this happen exactly as David Hudenyin said. WHat is wrong with the poor? Its like they are under a spell and hate themselves.
Just go through this thread and observe each and everyone attacking other to support these politcians, they are very poor and living off the stipends they are paid, yet they love these oppressors and hate their felow poor. It is unatural . Funny enough this only happens in Nigeria

Fooool! all you could pick out is how to defend religion. See the lame excuse - that he mentioned Paul.
Godblessme1:
are you a coward? Did you read about his redicle statement of Paul? Do you know that Muslims hate Paul so much? I will stand for my religion you can be a coward. Let him use his religion to make statement. Why is he afraid to use quran?

A minimum wage increase, even in the face of high inflation, is a necessary step to help workers immediately cope with rising costs. While it's true that inflation erodes purchasing power, a higher wage provides some short-term relief for workers who are struggling to make ends meet. Without this increase, workers would be even worse off, unable to afford basic necessities.

Inflation Control vs. Wage Increase
Protesting for inflation control is indeed important, but it's a broader and more complex issue that typically involves government fiscal and monetary policies. NLC have more direct influence over minimum wage than over macroeconomic policies. It's not that they don't care about inflation, but that advocating for wage increases is a more immediate and achievable goal.

Structural Issues and Low-Hanging Fruits:
While addressing extortion on roads and costs associated with transportation of goods are valid concerns, these are structural issues that require systemic change and government action. NLC and other unions can highlight these issues, but they don't have the power to directly enforce these changes. Advocacy for better wages can coexist with advocacy for structural reforms.

Effectiveness of Protests in the shadow of ENDSARZ debacle:
Protests like EndSARS bring global attention to systemic issues and can lead to incremental changes. While immediate, tangible benefits might not always be visible, these movements put pressure on authorities and can gradually lead to policy changes. Dismissing their impact overlooks the potential for long-term improvements and the importance of raising awareness.

A Holistic Approach:
It's not an either/or situation. Labor unions and protesters can push for wage increases while also advocating for broader economic reforms. Both actions are part of a holistic approach to improving living conditions. The complexity of economic issues means that multiple strategies are often needed simultaneously.

Minimum wage increase will not improve living conditions because there is a subsisting wage award of N35,000 from last year. The protest of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is only to legally formalize the wage award to minimum wage, which means they will be doing the labour members and general populace a world of good if they jettison their minimum wage brouhaha for a reduction in food inflation. I agree some of the causes are structural, but not all, and I mentioned a couple that can be executed in no time, and it will have an immediate effect on inflation.
