Batman2412: It seems you're tier 3, they're requesting for TIN and other documents. United Capital shared this with me via mail. Tier one- Passport Photograph. Deposit- #30,000, Withdrawal- #30,000 Tier 2- Provide a valid means of address and proof of address. Maximum Deposit- #40,000, withdrawal #50,000. The total money in account has to be #400,000 or else it will be flagged. Tier 3- Provide all complete KYC documents- Provide a Valid means of address and Proof of address, passport photograph, PEP, Employment details, Self-certification. 1 Like |

I'm just seeing these tier 1 and tier 2 limitations. Web shows I'm tier 2 but I do big transactions without hitches. Perhaps I should be tier 3 as you rightly observed VeeInsider: 1 Like |

Can i use my Mutual Funds account to purchase stock shares? I want to buy Fidelity Bank Shares. Or i have to open a new account that is different from Mutual funds with StanbicIBTC again? |
Re: Mutual Funds by NL1960: 9:26am On Jun 29 |
sleekybaba: Talk to StanbicIBTC Asset Management. For sometimes now, they have been sending me emails on using my MMF as collateral to obtain loans. 2 Likes |

sleekybaba: @sleekybaba, MMF and stock are two different products. You can't use MMF account to buy shares, you will need to have stock/cscs account to buy shares. Many years back you could buy shares in the primary offer without cscs account because paper certificates were printed then, but now shares bought even in primary offer will be credited to your cscs account directly. If wish to buy the ongoing fidelity or any other company shares, open a stock account it takes about 72hrs to do that if no kyc issues. You can open a stock account with investment one right away. Click the third link on my signature to do that. Requirements is the usual kyc documents Note: you don't need cash to do that. Account opening is free. Get in touch if you need further clarifications. |

NL1960: is this after all their management & expense fees? |
Re: Mutual Funds by NL1960: 6:00pm On Jul 01 |
SetrakusRa: Do not know. |
Re: Mutual Funds by freeman67: 6:09pm On Jul 01 |
sleekybaba: No you can't use Mutual Funds Account to purchase stock. You have to open a stock booking account separately. You can either contact the Stanbic IBTC Stock Brokers or ask their Asset Management to link you up with their brokers or find another stock broking firm. |
Re: Mutual Funds by hollerbaby: 11:41am On Jul 02 |
Aside from the online profiling for the Stanbic E account mutual fund app. Do I need to fill any other form for online redemption consent and how many days for payment after filling the form online or in the bank . Also does the redemption account have to be Stanbic? |

fungirl89:Invest in Stanbic IBTC money market fund. My candid advice. You can use the link below: https://www.stanbicibtcfundsmanagement.com/invest-now-w8knqjwb |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 10:55pm On Jul 02 |
fungirl89: @fungirl89, it depends on what you mean by good. When it comes to fund managers and the funds they manage, good means different things to different investors. Most times some things are normally considered by investors - rate, customer service, ease of redemption of funds, and online services ie the ability to access your account online. currently as of today, mansard 19.5% Stanbic 19.90% Norrenberger 17.0% You can now consider other things that define what you mean by good. However, since I sell for Stanbic and Norrenberger I wish you go with Stanbic to help my ministry. To open an account for free, you need: - passport photo, - ID card, - utility bill that bears your name ( your NIN slip can be used in place of a utility bill that bears your name) Click the first link on my signature to start. You can also contact me if you need further clarifications my numbers are on my signature. 1 Like |

Re: Mutual Funds by vefexam: 11:16pm On Jul 02 |
emmasoft: Wait oo. So the money isn't 100% sure like MMF. What you are saying is. If I invest $3000 there is a possibility that in 30days the money might drop to $2700 and interest is not guarantee. |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 11:41pm On Jul 02 |
hollerbaby: You don't need to fill other forms once you complete the registration online If you place redemption request before noon on any working day, you get your funds in your designated bank account same day otherwise you get it the next business day if you place redemption request on weekends or public holidays Any commercial bank of your choice can be used as the redemption account, you don't have to be a customer of stanbic ibtc bank. You can click the first link on my signature to open an account. 1 Like |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 11:58pm On Jul 02 |
vefexam: Dollar funds are in the medium-risk investment category. The capital invested is not guaranteed compared to MMF. The reason is that the underlying asset of the dollar fund is eurobonds which have some form of volatility - it's price dependent ie the price can go up or otherwise hence the value of your investment fluctuates with the price movement, hence professionally it's advised for investors wishing to invest in dollar fund to think long term because at the long run, you are sure to have hedge your funds against inflation or devaluation of local currency and in the process gain some interest on the fund invested. Please note that it's not volatile like stocks so the probability of losing your money is close to zero. Be in touch if you need more clarity. |

Re: Mutual Funds by Neurotika: 1:30pm On Jul 03 |
vefexam: The only challenge now is no one knows when rates will drop and what it will drop to. Certainty aids financial planning. I don’t think we will ever see rates peak this high again after this bubble. We can only hope CBN will maintain this high MPR…. |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 2:10pm On Jul 03 |
Neurotika: The rule of this investment is to enjoy it while it lasts. Don't bother, when the rate changes there will be another opportunity. Normally a rate drop is an opportunity in another segment of investment except when there is a complete economic meltdown which in itself is another opportunity in disguise. 8 Likes |

Re: Mutual Funds by NL1960: 5:28pm On Jul 03 |
emmasoft: Never knew you can use NIN slip in place of utility bill. I want to help my sister-in-law open Stanbic MMF but utility bill has been her challenge as they live in their own house in Benin and it is solar that they are using. If NIN slip is used for utility bill, can the same NIN slip be used for means of identification?. |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 5:41pm On Jul 03 |
NL1960: Yes, especially for Stanbic. They know many investors who wish to invest may not have their personal property so they now use any govt issued id card that has your address in place of utility bill. However, it means the address on the NIN must be the address to fill on the form even if the current address the customer lives is different. Since you are using the same NIN as ID and utility bill, in the space for ID and utility bill upload the NIN slip for both. My oga I beg use my link ie first link on my signature when you want to open the account o I know you always help my ministry 2 Likes |
