Nothing supreme Court can do here. All Fubara needs is to shop for a Federal High Court Judge to declare there seats vacant.

But I doubt if Fubara has made such plans.

Nothing supreme Court can do here
You lie. Ask yourself how the SHC entertained the case in the first place.

The Nigerian judiciary should be shut down. The whole system has been hijacked by bad politicians bent on turning the law on its head. The constitution is clear on the defection of elected officials, our judiciary is actually very stupid.

God will punish all of them and their supporters.

But where exactly in the judgement does it say Amawhule should remain speaker? Or Is the op trying to be disingenuous?

The constitution is clear on defection as it is also clear on which court has jurisdiction over what matter.

You should rather blame the other party that was trying to use the instrumentality of a State High Court..that's a backdoor tactics...it won't stand.

They should file a fresh case against the defected assembly members at the appropriate channel...A Federal High Court.

That's it.

The judiciary remains the last hope of the citizens.
The battle is over!
Wike should forgive Fubara for the sake of Rivers people while Fubara should allow peace to reign!

Thank you my brother. This is the right thing to do so that Rivers people can have some respite. Rivers is losing badly from this unnecessary power show.

The final court in Nigeria where a House of Assembly tussle case would end is the Supreme Court. According to the Supreme Court (Additional Original Jurisdiction) Act, 2002,

So the Fubara is not shaking one bit because their DEFECTION TO APC has spoilt all their chances already.

If they do that they will be fined by the SC.

Judiciary is messed up,I won't advice any body to use the Court.
The best solution now is to bring down your opponents.
I expected Fubara to have roped those yeye Ex-chair and legislooters with sponsoring terrorism and insurrection and also demolish Wikes Choiced properties all over Rivers state.[/quote
Una don start with destructive advise to Fubara

Justice wall of the state High Court declared their seats vacant and affirmed oko jumbo as the speaker of the House.

The question I ask again, Does the state High court have jurisdiction to entertain such ?

We need to situate this correctly. The court did not say Amaewhule remains speaker. It says the declaration is null and void due to lack of jurisdiction so Fubara is not duty bound to recognize them. The meat of the matter is still pending and I expect Fubara to now approach a FHC which I believed he has bought enough time to do

Unless Fubara secures a Federal High Court order declaring their seats vacant, everything done by oko jumbo remains null, void and worthless.

Fubara should fight it till the end but If these lawmakers stabilize to perform their legislative works, he won't spend his tenure finished as Rivers gov

There are many reason to impeach him

Not presenting the budget to the recognize speaker, the local govt caretaker appointment, openly supporting a faction of the Rivers state house of assembly, sponsoring the destruction of River state house of assembly complex

Fubara does not have any authority to recognize or derecognize
Just like the speaker does not have authority to recognize or derecognize Fubara

Imagine if the Ppresident says he does not recognize Fubara

Only the courts have such powers

Otherwise we would have anarchy

Let us wait and see what the police will do

That is the body that matters
The police not Fubara because that is the body with enforcement power
The Appeal court

INVALIDATED ALL THE RESTRAINING ORDERS issued by the state High Court
Which simply means .......
I think it is obvious

If the court says the declaration of his seat vacant is null and void, what else do you want to hear.

Martins remains the speaker of the house and can comfortably resume sitting with the other lawmakers.

It's simple

Wike Leads, We Follow...

Today is a very bad for the IPOB sponsored Fubara SIN.

You Learn Political Lessons From Today..

Wike 5: 0 Fubara.
If you follow wike then as governor. Anytime he dances and there is judgement the following date, just no that he has won it already. It is sad but many here supported him then because he suit their devilish agenda. Wike has penetrated judiciary with the help of Odilli's. Only when the president has interest differently from his will he lose judgement. When will say let fubara represent budget again for the sake of peace but some guys here say he has tamed wike. Hope they see it now. Fubara will go and bow to Wike very soon and that is what wike really want and let him know he is the boss. Politically if you want to move forward, don't take advice of Obidients cos you will be doomed. Fubara has no federal power as in having a close person in presidency and you are fighting wike. Obaseki succeeded because some Apc governors then supported him. They partly funded the pdp because oshiomole has national chairman was supporting Tinubu presidency. El rufai was the major catalyst and he was like Buhari s first son then. Be politically incline and don't be emotional
