fergie001: When I heard that Woke is constructing buildings in Abuja with the approval of Tinubu, I knew something is in the offing that worked in his favor. Well the matter is not ending here. It will go to Supreme Court, just to buy time. I'm surprised that nothing was said about the local government tenure extension. I thought it was the Appeal Court in Port Harcourt that was handling the Matter, how come it was the Appeal Court in Abuja that gave judgement? Nigeria we hail thee. 2 Likes |

yarimo: Its purely a constitutional affair. Electoral matters are strictly for elections as conducted by inec, and they start from properly constituted tribunals which are outside the regular courts but are in equivalence with the high courts. Fubaras case against them is a non electoral matter. |

Gajagojo:Crap. Total crap. In case you're not aware, it is the governor, just like the president that makes a proclamation for the constitution of the legislature . It is the governor, just like the president that has executive powers and not the police. The police take orders from the president cause we have a central policing system. Fubara as the chief executive of the state under advice from his AGF has the powers and authority to derecognise the members who defected until the court says otherwise. Judicial precedent that says legislators that defect lose their seats have not been vacated by this appeal court judgement. What this judgement simply says is that the SHC does not have the jurisdiction to hear the case. It does not validate their defection as in order. The president cannot decide to recognize or derecognize Fubara because he is validly elected governor of the state. If he is removed by impeachment even if done wrongly, the president can use that as excuse to derecognize him until a court says otherwise. 2 Likes |

So you all thought Fubara didnβt know the FHC has jurisdiction over the case only ! They wanted to impeach him he had to stop them and cause a problem to push them out thus using the state high court temporarily before approaching the Supreme Court . He knows how long this will take .The appeal court never instructed him to recognize the 24 law makers on legality .they only said he should take it to a FHC .. The 24 ousted law makers will continue to remain outside till the court of jurisdiction decides until it gets to Supreme Court . The 24 law makers no better than to celebrate until then . 1 Like 2 Shares |

BREAKING NEWS PRO WIKE 27 SACKED RIVERS LAWMAKERS REMAINS SACKED, THEIR SEATS REMAINS VACANT AS APPEAL COURT DIDN'T DECIDE ON THE LEGALITY OF THEIR DECAMPMENT AND DECLARATION OF THEIR SEATS VACANT. APPEAL COURT DIDNβT VOID THE DECLARATION OF THE SEAT OF 27 PRO WIKE LAWMAKERS VACANT, OKO JUMBO REMAINS SPEAKER PENDING WHEN THE ISSUE OF THE ILLEGALITY OF THE DECAMPMENT OF THE 27 FORMER LAWMAKERS ARE RESOLVED BY A FEDERAL HIGH COURT AS THE APPEAL COURT SAID. IKENGA IMO UGOCHINYERE OPPOSITION FEDERAL LAWMAKERS COALITION SPOKESMAN Pro Wike 27 sacked Rivers lawmakers remains sacked, their seat remains vacant as Appeal court didn't decide on the validity of their illegal decampment nor the declaration of their seat vacant. The Appeal Court focused on declaring that the Federal High Court is the only court with Jurisdiction to decide on the legality or illegality of decampment thereby ruling against Rivers High Court proceedings. The legal fire works continues. The former Speaker edison ehi led House votes and proceedings that declared the seats of the 27 lawmakers vacant is still valid and subject of pending litigation and the vacant seats of the 27 lawmakers remains vacant and the actions of the House led by Ehi in declaring the seat vacant have not been declared null and void by any court. AbujaLagos:Defeated, Falana is like an old man who wants to cross the Highway and only look at the left side and jump on the road, but wike was too smart to look both right and left before crossing the road, wike knew that pursuing this case proving Defection is a waste of time so he silently did a good Job, as a Master planner himself, with his team of Lawyers even though he is a lawyer himself The did a surgery from within PDP and came out with a solution to approach court proving that the Assembly men are still with PDP, unfortunately Fubara lawyers were not prepared to supply proofs They were busy Jubilating on Falana's pronouncements but forgot that falana is not a Judge but only gave his opinion, Now They Lost and fireworks of impeachment will begin now While Akpabio will take up the matter if Fubara makes noise, and so the Majority APC will delegate Ariwoola to bypass the River state Cheif Judge and set up Panel of impeachment then Fubara will have no option than to come to abuja Wike's territory to answer his impeachment allegations, and After the Judgement will be reserved...you all know what will happen next Dont ask me 1 Like |

kingsways: Lol. They said the decision of the state high court declaring that Amaewhule is no longer speaker and the 27 members are no members of the Rivers state house of assembly is null, void and of no effect whatsoever. That is, the 27 members remain members and Amaewhule remains the speaker. 1 Like |

Fubara agreed to Wike godfatherism before Wike chose him among all so when Fubara knew he can't keep to godfatherism shit why Di he consented and agreed to it he should have go to the mountain and be praying to God to make him the governor instead for him accepting Wike condition. |

People are celebrating over a case that hasn't even started. Appeal court simply said that the case cannot be heard by a state high court.. what does that mean? It simply means that parties should go to the proper court for the CASE TO BE START PROPERLY... π This case go looooooonnngggggg... π Is jurisdiction a difficult word to decipher? π 1 Like |
