State high court listens to the governor and the federal high court listens to the presidency.
Fubara started to lose his case when ipobidients skewed towards him. The system in Nigeria is wired to always go against any position of ipobidients even when they may be right.
You mean judges check the internet to see who ipobidients are supporting?

The Nigerian judiciary should be shut down. The whole system has been hijacked by bad politicians bent on turning the law on its head. The constitution is clear on the defection of elected officials, our judiciary is actually very stupid.

God will punish all of them and their supporters.

But where exactly in the judgement does it say Amawhule should remain speaker? Or Is the op trying to be disingenuous?
please, read the judgement and see the reasons why the appeal court decided that way . Don't just criticize .

In my opinion, the Rivers State government strategically approached this case.

The Appeal Court emphatically clarified the constitution's stance on this matter, and I believe the government is well aware of this.

The Rivers State government wisely utilized the State High Court to buy time, achieving key milestones like swearing in commissioners and LGA chairmen.

Although the Appeal Court struck out the case at the State High Court, today's judgment presents two options: the government can appeal to the Supreme Court to further delay proceedings or initiate a fresh case.

The government's legal team will drive this lengthy and intriguing journey, and time will reveal the victor and villain .

The decision of the state high court has to be set aside first B4 Amaewhule can be declared a speaker of the HOA.As it is Jumbo still remains speaker.

This 'Kudiciary' is the biggest problem we have in Nigeria... These judges get properties/investments for Abuja. Wike probably threaten them small with demolition or revocation of CofO.... One day be one day for this country....

So you all thought Fubara didn’t know the FHC has jurisdiction over the case only ! They wanted to impeach him he had to stop them and cause a problem to push them out thus using the state high court temporarily before approaching the Supreme Court . He knows how long this will take .The appeal court never instructed him to recognize the 24 law makers on legality .they only said he should take it to a FHC .. The 24 ousted law makers will continue to remain outside till the court of jurisdiction decides until it gets to Supreme Court . The 24 law makers no better than to celebrate until then .

It's not mention anywhere in the article, thus the headline is misleading.

But can a higher court declare another as lacking in jurisdiction ?

Vacating a order means the status quo remains

Arise tv is a propagandist station with a tribalist has owner. Rufai from Edo state is just been used by the owner. When the chips are down, he will abandoned him. Channels remains the best. The owner John momoh an etsako man from Edo state resign as the chairman of BON some years ago not to compromise his journalism ethics. Arise will end up like AIT very soon.

Rufai is from delta

Wike is already building houses for Appeal Court judges in Abuja, he truly knows how to bribe people directly and indirectly. Also preparing for 2027 elections, God pass Wike, Ganduje and Tinubu.
Exactly the model he used for judiciary in Rivers state for 8 years, let's see how he goes with this in Abuja.

If there are no befitting houses for them then it's part of his responsibility as FCT Minister and it's also their entitlement as judges to have good houses to reside.
