I had to stop critiquing religion, christianity and pastors because she doesn't like it. As someone who has critiqued useless Nigerian pastors all my life, this was difficult to stop. But I had to adjust. I still think pastors, especially Nigerian pastors like Oyedepo, ADeboye and Oyakhliome, are the scum of the earth, but I just hold this thought to myself now. It gets too sensitive when she hears me calling out their horrible habits, decisions and postulations. Anyways, I get to do that online on a site like Nairaland. But with her, we just glide away from the subject and never bring it up.

Point to note: Nigerian pastors and most pastors in general, especially those of the pentecostal faith, are the most useless bunch of criminals the world has ever seen. Next to them are Nigerian politicians.

She wanted to stop me from chopping iron and start to feed me junk and fatty foods. I no gree for her. I even increased my tempo of chopping iron and eating clean foods( I prepared my meals most times). No be me she go kill before my time.🥱

My wife begged me to stop. She said she's afraid of the arguments and fights that sometimes breakout in viewing centers. Now, I only watch football from the comfort of my home.

To be honest, my own self too much on top football matter back then. Na me dey always troll rival fans with SONGS & INSULTS. If your team is losing and I happen to be at the viewing centre, you'll hate me.

I was so popular that some guys always come to look for me at home whenever it's time to watch football match. As per their JIM BEGLIN wey I be. To make matters worse, we'll still argue for hours even after the match had ended.

I miss all of it!

My wife hates a man that argues too much. She said it's unrefined and not classy. Most times, when issues arise, I go just talk one or two words and keep quiet like a proper gentleman. I was once not a social media person, no fb, or any other social media acct den, even after opening whatsapp zero posting.
All of a sudden everything just change. I just became one i belive i was influences into becoming one n now i am regretting it even got to a stage now wen i can't stay for a day without posting on whatsapp.
I just decide not to come online on whatsapp since on sunday to avoid posting anything n wen i install back whatsapp i will mk sure i stop posting completely or post once in a while. I just hate d shit about social media n publicity.

It's true dat social media n d internet has brought allot of ease n opportunities to d society, but it has also cause allot of damage.

I started developing more depression wen i started getting into social media n internet stuff, but i have learned though to be contented with what i have now, value my today resources, always maintain my steeze, work hard, pray, n see everything falling in place.

I go still dy social media as pal na be our today world, but no posting or display of anything.

Na low-key lifestyle better pass 💯

Been married for a decade or so now. Thinking back, will I say I changed for him, not really. He did the better of the changing. I'm not perfect, but believe me, I have been a good girl for as long as I can remember.

Before I got married, I used to attend a lot of Owanbes. I never attended anyone I wasn't invited to though. We partied, my friends and I, almost every weekend. We glam up in Aso-ebi and off we go! How I could afford to keep up then self I don't know cause I wasn't really working. The gigs were so frequent that when I eventually decided to settle down, about 90% of stuff in my kitchen were not bought. They were souvenirs from those parties.

After marriage, I stopped totally. My husband didn't for a day ask me to stop. I just stopped. In a marriage, there are many things that need your attention such that there'll be little or no time for frivolities. Now parties are non-existent for me. They don't even invite me anymore cause they know I'm not gonna come. I divided my time strictly between church, work and family. That's all.

Before I change, you have to gimme 101 reasons why I should- Make sure the cons overpower the pros. And being a modest man, I'll carefully discern and try to adjust. You can't just wake up one morning and tell me things I should stop doing because you don't like it. I hate being controlled. Haba!

That issue of social media though. I don't get the thirst for validation from people. Your whatsapp status will be filled with tons of pictures from the moment you wake up till you go to bed. It's like chronicling your life for the world to see and monitor. It's totally different when you upload your business or services but not your life as a whole.
I always meet women who are modest at first sight but when I get closer, I see their addiction to social media for likes and comments. When I ask why, they give silly reasons. I shrug, try to smash as long as I can and call it quits.
