deept:It’s not surprising with the amount of controversy the party has experienced in the last few years. SNP started nosediving after Alex salmon’s tenure. |

BouharryArtikou: I once tried to imagine the face/nature of the human being behind this moniker of Missjekyll. The nature of the unmarried horticulturist Gertrude Jekyll comes to mind, but that woman had too many positives compared to this one. The Missjekyll here stays more true to Jekyll and Hyde - a person with two very different sides to their personality, one good and the other evil (also obnoxious.) It would have been very explosive sharing a physical room/space with the person behind the Missjekyll moniker though. To think up the kind of "shylockness," wickedness, "opportunisticness," "preying on the poorness," etc in that her (?) post, type it till the end, proof read it and still post it without conscience intervening somewhere along the line is just unbelievable! Man's inhumanity to man truly knows no bounds!!! 11 Likes |

After 8 attempts finally Nigel Farage is an MP. Time will tell if Clacton cracks it or made a huge mistake |

BouharryArtikou: Oga keep your self-righteousness to yourself Would you buy an asset now rather than later, if you expect prices to drop? Is your problem the excitment the buyer feels at potentially snapping it up at a discount? She is not the cause of the recession, why should she weep or decline the opportunity to buy an asset undervalued or at a again. Very misplaced criticism. Rather than blame the government who has engineered factors that have eroded people's wealth, you are blaming the person picking up assets as a discount. This is the kind of reasoning that has kept nigeria poor and the leaders unaccountable 4 Likes |

wallg123: Is it going to matter, they only have 4=seats for now Did Rishi lose his seat? |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 5:29am On Jul 05 |
deept: Rishi won his seat with a large majority. Yes it matters because they've come close second in dozens of seats, a lot of them Labour. The message is that they are snapping at Labour's heels and could take over these seats if Labour falls out of favour with their voters. Also the personalities of the 4 MPs - Farage and Lee Anderson in particular - they are loud , rabble rousers and could cause a lot of discomfort and negative headlines for Labour. British politics has changed, more volatile. The electorate has sent a strong message that they will no longer be taken for granted. |

Resurgent2016: Lol, based on what? He allegedly pumped in over £100k of his own money and just about squeaked through. He's been disliked by the public ever since he was health secretary with the way (or perceived way) he dealt with junior doctors |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by deept(m): 5:34am On Jul 05 |
Zahra29: Currently watching BBC and one of the analysts said the conservatives lost a lot of seats because of reform. People who would usually vote conservative voted reform. |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 5:38am On Jul 05 |
deept: 💯 Tory voters have felt betrayed since Party gate, failure to implement Brexit properly, Rishi stabbing Boris, increased migration, net zero....on and on They've been waiting for this moment to give the Tories a bloody nose. Most of the moderates/one nation are being cleared out. The right wingers (Suella, Kemi, Jenrick etc) have held their seats....it shows what direction the Tory party will be forced to pivot if they want to retain any remaining support. |

Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 5:43am On Jul 05 |
Conservatives have lost ALL their seats in Wales More than 30 government ministers have lost their seats "Big beasts" who have fallen so far: Grant Shapps Jacob Rees Mogg Damian Green Johnny Mercer Tobias Ellwood Penny Mordant (was a possible leadership contender) Douglas Ross ( Scottish conservative leader) Gillian Keegan Liam Fox Mark Harper Michael Fabricant Richard Drax Also Jon Ashworth for Labour which was a shock result |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 5:45am On Jul 05 |
deept: Maybe not a formal alliance but they will feel they have to align with most of their values and policies to try to win back their defector voters. So it will be Tory and Reform against Labour 1 Like |

deept: No you are not. I find him utterly repugnant. I m very happy the libdems and greens won more seats. We need to drag labour back to the left. Far right Nigel can fly off into the sun. |

missjekyll: Well, it's not all about you. Reform has been a huge influence on the results of this election and cannot be overlooked. They cannot be taken for granted. Where is Liz truss, gone into hiding? Looking like Liz Truss will lose her seat. |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by ReesheesuKnack: 6:44am On Jul 05 |
justwise: Come on Justwise. You are more than this. I honestly think you are capable of a more nuanced assumption/thinking/point of view. Your thought (on this matter) assumes that ALL Christians think the same (or should think the same). Your submission seem to suggest that ALL Blaxk people think the same, or should think the same. Your argument on this issue assumes that exactly the same thing matters to All Black people. Even your own blood brother or sister, heck even your own identical twin does not like or dislike exactly 100% of the things you like or dislike. I am a black woman, I will vote for Trump because I like position on abortion. I am a Christian, I voted for Nigel Farage because I like his idea of increased threshold for taxation. Those things matter to me, because I am me. Not because I am a Christian or a black woman. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by dupyshoo: 7:05am On Jul 05 |
I agree, reform took away a lot of share of conservative votes. Also, so many people decided not to vote. I just checked Lizz Truss's constituency. She won with about 35,000 votes in 2019 while Labour had just over 9,000 votes. Labour has now gained close to 4000 more votes. Where are the other voters? deept: |
