That is why women need to be strategic. Iyawo ceo did not suck it up because she had choices available to her.

The underlying thinking is that the woman has no choice unless she is ready to accept a decrease in quality of life.

Iyawo ceo does not have a religious background to accept or be blackmailed into accepting, She can stand on her own and live a fairly comfortable life.

Men are easily forgiving, Unlike women, We no dey think deep like that and its one of our many failings. I think its even nature. Beat your small kids boy and girl. In 5mins tickle the boy and throw ball at him he don forget, the girl na wahala just dey start until you beg and beg .

But one thing is sure, The dynamics of his relationship with the first wife has changed forever, She cannot like you genuinely again after that and will just be putting up appearance and start her own long term planning

Its now a race of how much of Jarus time, wealth, devotion will come to me? Before it was 100% now she will have to hope for 50% and realistically get about 30%

Also the new wife sef go dey very very kiaful. Her eye open pass madam 01 eye and she know wetin dey.

The divorce paper them use brush wife no 1 can be used to brush you as well if you step out of line.

And this is one reason why her faith and that of her children may never be the same after this.

Everyone quoting Hadith and Qur'an up and dan and then telling you to forget all that and lie in court.

E sure me say the same cleric that helped them settle the matter and reconcile them will be one of those that will tell her to do whatever lawyer ask her to do in court .

Most of them don't even love genuinely in the first place.

Money is their most important consideration.

The concept of love is complex, So I will defer to using like. Yes your financial status or potential to be succesful will likely be one of the consideration a female will think about before going into a long term relationship with you

In the marriage because you live eat and started sharing common interest there is a likelihood she starts liking you more and start seeing you long term in her future

Its the same with every woman/man

There is another lesson here which Jarus wife may or may not have clocked

It was not Islamic clerics who saved her marriage
It was not Cele preachers

It was not her family (at least not directly)

It was social media which led to the involvement of government agencies.

Otherwise right now she would be somewhere licking her wounds and gnashing her teeth.

It is possible her faith has been severely shaken by this saga.
Wait a minute, the guy be wan divorce am before? shocked
As in divorce am?

Oh, so they no use planes at all for actual warfare...where I am now they've made mention of planes, but their use has been mostly for surveillance. If they didn't use planes then Nigeria Army should win then, but what if one stretches it to say WW2 Armies of say Japan, German or Britain?

They used planes to fight as well. There were fighters and bombers as well, just that their technology was rudimentary which made things like range and manoeuvrability poor.

Goering (Hitler’s No 2) was a decorated WW1 fighter pilot. Another famous fighter pilot from the war was The Red Baron.

He's not off the ball with that, kids in their teenage age can be extremely idealistic, na often the foundation of their rebelliousness be that, and its worse when they now start noticing contradictions in what you're teaching them and what you do. They probably won't understand why their parents had to do what they did until they start becoming adults themselves.

I'd be very surprised if Nigeria has up to 500k combat ready troops right now.

Britain had well over 3 million troops in WW1.

Their supply lines and logistics were also superior to ours.

The Nigerian army is currently in a terrible state. Underpaid, ill-equiped, unmotivated, undisciplined.

That's why Boko Haram was able to confidently attack an army barracks, kill over 500 people and get away with it in 2014.

Britain mobilised those soldiers for the war. That was not the size of the standing British army. The British had about 250,000 soldiers at the start of the war and had to mobilise to 3m.

I would expect Nigeria to also mobilise to a large size if faced with a dangerous opponent.

The fact that those British tanks were more like Korope and their planes were like kites makes me give the edge to the Nigerian Army.

Right from the days of iron vs bronze and cavalry vs chariots, technology has always been crucial in warfare. It would be a shame if a WW1 army took out a modern army.

P.S If the morale is as bad as you say it might be quite close sha.

This was what made Jarus suing for full custody quite funny, I doubt he's been involved in the grunt and less glamorous parts of day to day parenting, so e probably no know the work e madam don dey do since...by the time baba do 3 months, nobody for tell am before e call their mama reason compromise...or maybe he felt protecting his kids from their juju mummy was worth the shabby parenting they'd have gotten from an apparently busy father and their genZ step mum.

You're like these extremists who run with a narration whereas there's another narration that support the action taken by an individual they're castigating in a situation. If she doesn't want the person to be punished she's right to say she wasn't hurt. She has forgiven the person and she's not interested in pressing charges against him.

this imho is what would have happened
we dissected a case like this a few weeks ago. where a man was complaining about his wayward daughter. it turned out he divorced the mother and married a new wife and that was where it all started

i watched the documentary on shamima begum. her mother died. her dad married a new wife in 6 months and that is what started her downward spiral towards isis.

imho women are [for want of a better word] selfish and unable to fully care for children that are not their own.

Baba, prior to the war UK had about 250k troops .
It was during the war they mobilized between 3m to 4m troops . If a nation of 46m people as at that time can mobilize 4m , how much do u think a country nearing 150m like Naija can mobilize if they want to do that in the time of war ?

I agree that our military is not in the best of shape as of today sha

Just seeing this. Yeah, you are right. The standing British Army was not that large. They had to build up during the war.

By the time the Nigerian military takes control of the skies, all that ordnance the British had would be destroyed at the depot. cheesy

you cannot have it both ways

that is called hypocrisy

it is time to marry a new wife - that is a right in Islam
wife has committed shirk by witchcraft which is a major sin - grounds for divorce
i need my wife to tell a lie - forget about what islam says about false witness

basically, we will cherry pick what suits our desires

Eneke the bird says that since men have learned to shoot without missing, he has learned to fly without perching.

To do polygamy you have to be very "strong willed" cos they will beg appeal and even manipulate. What are the demands of polygamy for this era wey pass the other.

First thing we can agree is that is that most women date/fvvck you because of a promise of a long term monogamous relationship or financial gain

Your financial differential is what attracts partners in Polygamy, you don't have to be rich, you just have to find one who finds your financial situation higher than what she can offer on her own or better than the options available

Even in situations like that of treblechamp and gloriosgbola where seemingly financially stable women have professed their desire to join their house as co-wives, you will still know that you cant remove the influence of their finances and stability to it

No woman will want to be your 2nd wife to be feeding you.

So polygamy like a Mercedes is not for everyone. Your mate dey offer landed property and SUV's as wetting ground you wan carry ordinary chest and bet9ja slip go there? comot for road jare
😂

lol. Still better by far than WW1. You have to remember that WW1 started just a decade after the first powered flight, when Wright Brothers flew the kite at Kitty Hawk. WW1 planes were modified kites. They didn’t even have radar amongst other disadvantages.

There is an authentic Hadith about lying to reconcile parties in conflict/dispute.

It was narrated that Abu’l-Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Shall I not tell you something that is better than the status of (voluntary) fasting, prayer and charity?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “Reconciling in a case of discord, for the evil of discord is the shaver.” Al-Tirmidhi said: It was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It is the shaver, and I do not say that it shaves hair, but that it shaves (i.e., destroys) religious commitment.”

Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4273; al-Tirmidhi, 2433. classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

It was narrated from Umm Kalthoom bint ‘Uqbah ibn Abi Mu’eet that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “He is not a liar who seeks to reconcile between people and says good things.” Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2490

In al-Saheehayn from the hadeeth of Umm Kalthoom bint ‘Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “He is not a liar who reconciles between people, conveying good messages and saying good things.” Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2546; Muslim, 2605

Perhaps from the above Hadith is why the scholars have the below inference:

As for swearing false oaths in order to reconcile between people, it seems that this is permissible.

P.S: While Islam might have given out all rules, it also give room for where exception are allowed. Like the polygamy for instance, we will all agree that the same Islam says if u no capable then it is not for you. But the thing is, do we go by our individual definition of 'capable' or how Islam defined 'capable'?

All u have done here is refuse to call a spade a spade.

The woman was beaten by her husband, the husband confessed same himself online and the wife also stated this in her tiktok post. A picture of her swollen face is on the internet.

Now she is in a law court where a Quran is presented to her and she swore to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.

She is asked about the beatings she received from her husband and she denied they ever happened.(even though every evidence provided by herself and the husband suggested otherwise).

What she is done is called " Telling a lie". Simple. There's no sugarcoating it.

Yes, we understand her reasons for doing that but it is what it is. GloriousGbola is right on this one.

the problem for me is the double standard

when it was time to kick the wife out for witchcraft shirk no one considered she was doing this as a desperate last ditch move to save her marriage and stop an usurper. in fact i am sure the same imams and lawyers all bandied together to push out the unbelieving kafir

but when the tables were turned everyone is now defending lying

this is actually one reason why you have vitrolic feminists because they can see the game where men will gather around and use the religious texts to defend every thing they do where women get the short end if the stick

it is why i have always said as a man in africa you can get away with anything, and as a woman in the west you can also get away with anything

i am sure our former aviation minister and his children can therefore also lie on the Quran, since imprisonment means separating a family.
i am sure all our devout thieving politicians reference this hadith when they lie before nigerians , business partners etal

after all, i grew up with people shouting walahi talahi in front of me while i knew they were lying through their teeth
