Rivers State Governor, Similanayi Fubara, has broken his silence on the recent Appeal Court ruling that reinstated the 27 pro-Wike lawmakers.

He commented on the issue while speaking to journalists in Khana, Khana Local Government Area on Friday.

Governor Fubara expressed his confidence in God’s guidance and provision, citing Psalm 23:5.

He assured the people of Rivers State that his administration remains committed to delivering good governance despite challenges.

He said: “I know that a lot of you will be wondering what is going on and all that. Government has its own challenges. If you go to the book of Psalm 23 verse 5, in the Bible, it said that God prepares a table before you; it can be before anybody. But there is an underlined word that should be noted there: it said ‘in the presence of your enemies’. So, it means that nothing comes easy.

“I want to assure everyone of you and the good people of Rivers State, that we are not deterred. We have made our promises, we will continue to give you good governance, no matter how difficult it is.

“But, like I said before, the worse is over. We are moving on to ensure that we continue to provide what is needed for the development of our state.”

Governor Fubara also highlighted his administration’s priority sectors: health, education, and agriculture. He announced plans to visit project sites in Degema, Ahoada, Omoku, and Rumuigbo to inspect the progress of the Modern General and Psychiatric Hospitals.

The Governor expressed satisfaction with the ongoing zonal hospital project in Khana, which will benefit not only the people of Khana and Gokana but also his own constituency, Opobo/Nkoro. He assured the people that his administration would complete and utilize the facility for quality healthcare.

Governor Fubara noted that his administration inherited non-functional zonal hospitals and released funds last month for the reconstruction and expansion of four zonal hospitals to provide quality healthcare facilities for the people.

Courtogracy. This new word should be added to the Oxford English directory. At least every Nigerian knows the meaning and even the world.

Vague statement... oga no wan cast update.. 😂 say case go drag sotey....

Fear quiet men o! 😂

I pity Martins and his friends... dem go go court tire... Oko jumbo has gone to the supreme court to decide JURISDICTION and not the main matter... supreme court will tell them go back to the FHC and file proper court processes... 😂... meanwhile time dey go...

Justice okorowo matter still dey pending... the game is the game.. whoever is advising fubara is a mafian i swear... 😂... look at him sounding defeated but he knows what he's doing.

Meanwhile, appeal court said all parties back to status quo antebellum.... that is the state of things before the case at the SHC . What was the state of things then? Oko jumbo was already speaker .. so we are back to the impasse. 😂

Look at order 3... it says all parties go back to status quo antebellum.. that is the state of affairs before the matter was instituted at the state high court.

Now Oko jumbo became speaker 8th May.... the order by Wali was given 10th May so what is status quo antebellum 😂

The appeal court was careful not to grant any of the prayers Martins requested that had to do with the meat of the matter like asking the court to remove oko jumbo as speaker and render his actions as null and void. That language was not used. The AC avoided granting amewhulee prayers as that would amount to deciding the main matter that should rightly start from the FHC.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer but it appears like common sense to me. Let the lawyers in the house dispute me.i'm willing to be corrected . 😂

Lol. Man has nothing to say.
Justice Omotosho's ruling has not been set aside Mr. Governor. Go and represent the state budget before you find yourself in hot water.

Tinubu is truly living by his name. Crippling and pocketing the judiciary through instrument of government. To be sincere, anyone that support Wike with his penchant for thuggery and anti people is truly an enemy of state. With glaring evidence that the man want to be in control of state funds after leaving the office. This really show that average people in nigeria are shameless and very corrupt. I pray people of Rivers state take law into their hands and serve him his medicine.

Everyone started from somewhere

Amaechi: House of Assembly member then a governor

Wike: Chief of staff under Amaechi

Adams Oshiomole: NLC leader to 2 term Governor

Fmr President Goodluck Jonathan: Started as Deputy governor - Governor - VP - President

All the political fight going on in rivers state is unnecessary at all
