Btw,there are still about 1000 members of the House of the Lords, unelected Lords, mostly hereditary Lords, King and PM- appointed Lords who these elected House of Commons members must always get their approval to get laws passed. Despite the pomp and pageantry, UK is still a quasi democracy with strong monarchy control especially through the House of the Lords unlike our own full-fledged democracy.
