All this is for the ikwerres to be flavoured by this government and to dissociate themselves from Biafra. Where in the world 🌎 is the word South-South? Why is there no North-North or East-East? Dumb ass professor and elders 5 Likes |

Amaggedon:Where then in Igbo that the Ikwerres come from? It's not just by saying vague words. In the case where you have seven sons and the seven of them married from yoruba because they can't marry their own sisters who would eventually be married away by other strangers, in whose language would the children of your seven sons who would inherit the land speak? 1 Like |

Abagworo: Ikwerres never migrated from a single place, therefore cannot dame original story. I guess due to political expediency, it is best Ikwerre present themselves as is. That said, if push comes to shove, I believe Ikwerres will definitely align with Igbos. Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Leichstenstein speak German but are in different countries. So no big deal. 1 Like |

Ojuntana:Simply, the Igbos invaded our land. That's what invaders do, they force their names and religion on you. If you doubt, go and ask the north who were invaded by Fulanis who forced Islam on them and today almost all of them bears the name Alhaji, Muhammad, etc. (invaded religious related names). The Igbos all ran away at the heat of the civil war and their evil plot failed. We the indigenes stayed and defended our land. 3 Likes 1 Share |

In recent time, issues of ethnic identity and ancestry has been matters of dispute. The other time, it was the Binis and their Yoruba neighbor. Unfortunately, those who are in positions to set the records straight are politicians who give pespectives to favor their interests. Let Ikwerre people decide where they want to belong. Those who want to be Ibo, let them go ahead, those who Bini ancestry narrative, let them continue. Since some elders have dismissed their cultural affinity with the Ibos to marriage to Ibo ladies, while their ancestors (husbands) suffered irreversible cultural shock, let us forgive them. Finally, let the Amaechis and their likes , who embrace Igbo ancestry also keep their story. A day of reckoning shall happen! 2 Likes |

Thr Igbo unity beggers will wail and cry on this news. It's not that they really care about the Ikwere people, it's more about the oil in the SS. Their delusional hope is that they will create their Biafuro where they will lord over the people of the SS with their oil. The moment they know that SS will jot follow them to their delusional retar@ded Biafuro dream, they will abandon that dream quick quick. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The Ikwerre (natively known as Iwhuruọhna) is an Igboid ethnic group in Rivers State, Nigeria.[1][2] The Ikwerre ethnic group in Rivers State, spans over four Local Government Areas; Port Harcourt, Obio Akpor, Ikwerre, and Emohua.. Pockets of the Ikwerre are found in Ohaji-Egbema LGA of Imo State. Those in egbema in south east will be Igbo right |

Gajagojo:Fulani people still speak Fulfude amongst themselves, why don't our Ikwerre Bini people speak Bini dialect amongst themselves? Fulani people never abandoned their nomadic cattle rearing because they left Futa Jalon. Fulani people still practice same culture and tradition all over Africa they migrated to. They still speak Fulfude, they still call their traditional rulers same name with all Fulanis all over Africa. Fulani people still bear same Fulani name all over Africa they migrated to. They didn't abandon their Fulani names in Ilorin and adopted Yoruba names completely because they migrated to Ilorin lolz But our Bini Ikwerre people forgot their Bini tradition, forgot their Bini culture, forgot their Bini names, forgot their Bini dialect, forgot everything that makes them Bini and adopted Igbo own, no be juju be that? 5 Likes |
