you woukd think they are attaching themselves to ikwere people because they love them but nope..

They have refused to develop their 5 plots of land because they lack the mental capacity to do it.
So they started attaching themselves to every igboish sounding name in south south because of oil and port harcout.

It's totally shameful.

Shut your dirty mouth have you developed your 6 plots of land.

All this is for the ikwerres to be flavoured by this government and to dissociate themselves from Biafra.

South-South? Why is there no North-North or East-East?

So the population of the igbos were already more than the population of the bini's(ikwerre) for the igbo language to i fluence the bini language(¡kwerre) because if one sheep i placed in the midst of a goat the sheep can never influence the goats rather it will be the other way round.
Where then in Igbo that the Ikwerres come from? It's not just by saying vague words. In the case where you have seven sons and the seven of them married from yoruba because they can't marry their own sisters who would eventually be married away by other strangers, in whose language would the children of your seven sons who would inherit the land speak?

Iwhurohna, Etche and Ngwa all have Bini ancestry through their father Akalaka (a Bini man).

Intermarriage happens everywhere, since we settled closer to the igbos, our ancestors married Igbo daughters to avoid marrying their own siblings and somehow the Igbo daughters married into our land taught their children the Igbo language. And this practice happens till date where children found themselves speaking their mother's language. If the Igbos claim we came from them, let's hear their own Kanu and Ojukwu story about the ancestors of Ikwerres. Before the civil war, the Igbos came to settle in Ikwerre land and began to rename our streets bearing our true ancestral names to their language names. Now during the civil war they killed us and did a lot of evil to us whom they now claim is their brothers (since they're unaware of the language-work of their daughters married by our ancestors). Now, when the war was intensified, they ran away (why would they run if they owned the place?). When we saw how we were tricked by those tribes, we took back our properties they stole from us, we won the battle.

Dude just shut up and stop yapping rubbish

Nothing funny about it
Fulani migrated from Fura Jallon and stopped speaking Fulani
They speak Hausa.

That language storyis a non argument
After all Heeboes are Hebrews from Jerusalem that stopped speaking Hebrew
The Ikwerre language is a language not a dialect of Igbo
That is an established linguistic fact

Useless comparison from Ewedus, Fulanis never forget their language and Fulanis are not indigenous Nigeria but from futa jallon

Gajagojo:

That is Ibo logic

First of who is Ibo
How is that defined?
Was there ever a country called Ibo ?

Ibo is a creation of the British and Nigeria
Before Nigeria there was never a single group known as Ibo

That is the reality
Ngwa people never called themselves Ibos and actively denied being Ibos for decades
Aros DEFINITELY did not see themselves as Ibos and for verylong their main business was hunting and selling Ibos as slaves

Just like most Fulanis in Nigeria cannot speak Fulani and only speak Hausa

Hausa language does not make them Hausa

Hausa language is a lingua franca in Northern Nigeria
Just like English is lingua franca in Nigeria, the USA and Arabic language is in so many countries

Shut up Yoruba man what do you know about us bloody stranger.

Trying to modify history again after realizing that the earlier modifications had some clear falsehood. Ekpeye and Ogba only had some migrations into Ikwerreland especially Emohua axis. All the Southern Igbos have a link ie Ngwa, Etche, Oratta, Ikwerre, Ohaji, Asa and Ndoki. Ekpeye and Ogba belong to the Niger River Igbos alongside Egbema, Ndoni, Oguta, Ogbaru, Ukwuani and Aboh. Ikwerres should stop playing politics with their history which is well known by every traditionally inclined Igbo man. There are 7 group of villages that make up Ikwerre ethnic nationality and all 7 migrated independently so Ikwerre is actually Ikwerre Asaa or Esa depending on dialect. The 7 groups at a time agreed to come together which is the origin of the term Ikwerre. Some Ikwerre elders coming together to appropriate their origin to one place and then Benin is like Americans whose clearly known origin is Europe outnumbering the original natives and then later having some Africans and Asians suddenly saying that they all originated from China.

Ikwerres never migrated from a single place, therefore cannot dame original story. I guess due to political expediency, it is best Ikwerre present themselves as is.

That said, if push comes to shove, I believe Ikwerres will definitely align with Igbos.

Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Leichstenstein speak German but are in different countries. So no big deal.

Your story does not make sense
African culture is patriarchal which means children take their father's name, language and culture.
So how does it make sense that you guys took your mother's names, language and culture.
Secondly, what were you guys looking at when strangers started renaming your land
It just seems as if you want to blame Igbo for everything
Simply, the Igbos invaded our land. That's what invaders do, they force their names and religion on you. If you doubt, go and ask the north who were invaded by Fulanis who forced Islam on them and today almost all of them bears the name Alhaji, Muhammad, etc. (invaded religious related names). The Igbos all ran away at the heat of the civil war and their evil plot failed. We the indigenes stayed and defended our land.

We all speak differently in our dialect but we all have a common language which we all refer to as the general igbo language

Well, I don't think it's right to force anyone

But we need to checkmate this people because how come they speak general igbo and have igbo names and cultures yet they aren't together

In recent time, issues of ethnic identity and ancestry has been matters of dispute. The other time, it was the Binis and their Yoruba neighbor.
Unfortunately, those who are in positions to set the records straight are politicians who give pespectives to favor their interests.
Let Ikwerre people decide where they want to belong. Those who want to be Ibo, let them go ahead, those who Bini ancestry narrative, let them continue.
Since some elders have dismissed their cultural affinity with the Ibos to marriage to Ibo ladies, while their ancestors (husbands) suffered irreversible cultural shock, let us forgive them.
Finally, let the Amaechis and their likes , who embrace Igbo ancestry also keep their story. A day of reckoning shall happen!

Thr Igbo unity beggers will wail and cry on this news.
It's not that they really care about the Ikwere people, it's more about the oil in the SS. Their delusional hope is that they will create their Biafuro where they will lord over the people of the SS with their oil.
The moment they know that SS will jot follow them to their delusional retar@ded Biafuro dream, they will abandon that dream quick quick.

The Ikwerre (natively known as Iwhuruọhna) is an Igboid ethnic group in Rivers State, Nigeria.[1][2] The Ikwerre ethnic group in Rivers State, spans over four Local Government Areas; Port Harcourt, Obio Akpor, Ikwerre, and Emohua.. Pockets of the Ikwerre are found in Ohaji-Egbema LGA of Imo State.

Those in egbema in south east will be Igbo right

Fulani people never abandoned their nomadic cattle rearing because they left Futa Jalon.

Fulani people still practice same culture and tradition all over Africa they migrated to. They still speak Fulfude, they still call their traditional rulers same name with all Fulanis all over Africa. Fulani people still bear same Fulani name all over Africa they migrated to. They didn't abandon their Fulani names in Ilorin and adopted Yoruba names completely because they migrated to Ilorin lolz

But our Bini Ikwerre people forgot their Bini tradition, forgot their Bini culture, forgot their Bini names, forgot their Bini dialect, forgot everything that makes them Bini and adopted Igbo own, no be juju be that?
