When travelling from NJ to NY last month, I passed the iconic Lincoln tunnel which starts from NJ and ends in NY under the sea. I was like, this heritage is already 90 years old? Millions of those who passed that tunnel are long gone. As if that wasn't enough, I dashed into Bronx to see an old friend and all the buildings looked pretty old but well maintained. They were part of the early settlements in NYC. Before getting to Bronx, I passed by one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in the world called Woollawn. I saw centuries old tombs with the names Mccarthy, William, Bill, engraved on them. They were the heroes of American formation, who once lived in Bronx and manhattan and built the entire infrastructure which current generation is now enjoying . What will our politicians be remembered for, like their forebears whom we're hailing today such as Pa Awo, Zik, Sardauna, etc? Everyone reading this already knows the answer. 4 Likes |

DevilsEqual: As time continues to pass and you grow older, you come to find that values and definitions change. Let us assume your grandpa is alive, do you think he would accept a plane ticket to spain or Tunisia or even Scotland? There is a high chance that he would wave it off because he has become rooted to being around his modest house, sitting on his special chair and sleeping on his old bed. At your age right now, what was attractive to you 7 years ago can be ignored by the same you today but you are only holding on to those things you have loved for years. Same thing as friends. 1 Like |

SeriouslySense: They maintain their structures through constant stealing from other people. The reason Nigeria and many other nations cannot maintain is constant sabotage and theft by oyinbos. The corrupt politicians are put there by oyinbos. The second a progressive politician appears or gets elected, oyinbos or their goons take them out. And those great ideas are likely stolen too. Like I said, oyinbos are yahoo boys.

Thats one thing i love them, they preserved their ancient landmarks, and its so beautiful, even the ground is paved with good stones. Especially the city centers, also their villages, from that i understood that they were wise in general. SaintCaleb: 1 Like |

Why is it only Africa, they can do that and succeed, why can't the Oyinbos succeed in Asia. it is because we as a people also contribute greatly to our predicaments, we will not value knowledge and creativity. That is to show you that we have not developed sufficient wisdom in general. Cousin9999: 1 Like |

See how they preserved their ancient artifacts and structures but they stole our own and used religion to make our people destroy the remaining ones. They demonized ours and adore theirs. They are wicked people |

Cry cry babies. What are the people doing now to recover, all they do is cry bah and they will go and sleep. What technology are you learning, are you learning how to solve the problems we are facing in healthcare, transportation and food. Or in communication and housing. Have you developed any technology or tool to solve the daily challenges you see around you, does you community think in problems solution approach or they just enjoy life and go to bed. Please please please, no victim mentality. If you believe you are capable, and your people are capable because it will always show if we have it. AgubataAkokwa: 1 Like |

1. Hackneyed topic. Go back to Reddit. 2. Life is impermanent and Iām okay with it. The world go tire person after a while. 3. Stop using one hundred years as your example. Some humans live to a hundred and twenty years. A child born today may be alive in a hundred years time. Use two hundred or more. |

SeriouslySense: šš. You see am abi... Na pattern. Someone even said they steal our natural minerals to maintain their cities. Let's assume they didn't steal these resources. How are we going to know what to do with rare earth metals, like putting them into industrial use and economic values for humans in the country? I believe even the mud road and huts self, the West gave us some clues of how to make them stronger in order to withstand harsh weather conditions. 2 Likes 1 Share |
