My bosses,I am beginning to like some terms these days like FAMILY BANK, FAMILY TRUST, FAMILY OFFICE....

Teach me...i want to learn how these can work here in Nigeria[ minimum capital to start, how to set it up,companies that can do it] Most Africans have sole-proprietorship mentality but with a nuclear family culture. So, wealth is rarely passed to the next generation, to the fourth generation is unthinkable. Writing wills has its problems too[ one guy takes his own share, sells it, and continues to smoke ganja grin-The Bible said fool and his money soon part ways. I WANT A SITUATION WHEREBY NO ONE IN THE FAMILY SELLS NOTHING... ONLY BUYING AND ADDING ON EXISTING ASSETS AND PROFITS OR DIVIDENDS ARE SHARED AT THE END OF THE YEAR...To the next generation,,,to the next generation.....i love my family thats why i want a generational wealth for her

I BELIEVE WE HAVE EXPERIENCED FINANCE EXPERTS HERE, PA EMMA and co. Please, no dm me ooooo. Share all knowledge here please

YA GAZIERE ANYI OOOO

You should be asking why is the guy at AIICO earned that much at over N200 million per annum.

CEO remuneration should be determined by the size , profitability and growth of the business
I didn't bother because I knew that one is a big thief. Good insurance managers no collect that kind money na one yeye insurance company ceo. That is why the stock struggled for so long to cross #1.Thr small work na to they give stupid bonus shares that just bloat OS.
And zenith is bank I have interest to accumulate. Aiico does no exist in my future investment plan

Thank you Sir. I like how PWC detailed the processes for FAMILY OFFICE.... But i need more LOCALISED INPUT, that is made in Nigeria.

In the second one, by businessday, it seems to me the journalist did a copy and paste work, mentioning dollars. I want more explanations. Cheers

No one can say for sure how long it would take Oando to clear the negative retained earnings. It may take about 3 years or more or less.
But that does not stop the share price from rising higher. The negative retained earnings may not allow Oando to pay cash dividend in the short-term. But if the company makes very good profits in a particular year, they can decide to pay non-cash dividends by issuing bonus shares to shareholders and that can also make the share price to rise further and people can cash-out on that.
Do your due diligence and decide. Various scenarios can play out in the stocks market; it is not always a one-way market.

Last year Iemailed AB INBEV no respond . I think the Parent company are in with the fraud.

Young Naija activist Lawyers need to wake up and fight good causes by taking on some of these crooks in the corporate world.
They need to drive the shareholders associations as well instead of leaving it for people who look like accomplices of the bad management on some of the companies mentioned.
Until then minority shareholders will continue to bear the brunt of incompetent/fraudulent management and their BODs.

It's always good to do your calculations yourself.
Just divide the profit after tax by the total outstanding shares and your answer lie there

You can see why it was good you did yours. What they have as published is wrong. If there is such term as Semi-Annualized, then it's correct
