The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by Ken4Christ: 9:19pm On Jul 07 |
Each time I hear story of someone committing suicide, I just say within myself, 'I wish they knew that there is the afterlife. And if they find themselves in hell, they will certainly regret committing suicide because the worst condition on earth is a million times better than going to hell. When you die, it doesn't mean that you cease to exist. You only cease to function on earth. But your spirit lives on. And there are two possible destination, heaven or hell. If you are born again and live a life worthy of your calling, you will go to heaven. But if you are not, you will end up in hell. Sometimes, the spirit of some people linger awhile in the realm of death before they finally enter into heaven or hell. Some are given the opportunity to come back to earth because its not their time yet. Please, prepare for the afterlife. It's real. Life doesn't end here on earth. Don't pursue pleasures and spend eternity in a burning flame. Don't kill yourself. If you do,you will end up in hell and regret for the rest of your life. |

obonujoker: The Bible does not "say"! Someone wrote it. But I guess you believe the Tortoise and other animals went to a banquet in the heavens too because Chinua Achebe wrote it in Things Fall Apart. Or, ah. That can't be true because white people wrote the truth Bible and Chinua Achebe is black? 4 Likes |

Ken4Christ:This is very insensitive. Many people kill themselves due to problems such as depression, poverty, health issues, abuse etc but instead of finding ways to reduce or eliminate these problems that lead people to suicide, you decided to threaten them with hell as if that will solve the current problems. Imagine telling a depressed person who is about to kill themselves that they will go to hell if they do so without making any attempt to understand the person's situation. ![]() 1 Like |

budaatum: From the evidences of the scripture. Here are a few evidences; 1. Man was created in the image and likeness of God. Since God is a Spirit, it means that the real man is also a spirit being. And since God is eternal, the spirit of man is also eternal. 2. The scripture says the blood of slained Abel cried out to God after he was killed by Cain his brother. It proves that though Abel was physically dead but his blood cried out to God. It means that he was still alive in the realm of the Spirit. 3. The death of Jonah. Jonah died in the belly of a fish. But the scripture said Jonah cried from the belly of hell. It means that his soul was alive and went to hell. He even narrated how he descended to hell. 4. The statement of Jesus concerning the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They are tagged dead but Jesus quoted God as saying; Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 5. The story of the rich man and Lazarus. They both died. One went to hell and the other to paradise or Abraham’s bosom This is a clear example that the afterlife is real. 6. Jesus died and rose again. If there is no afterlife, there would have been no more Jesus after he died. Jesus rose from the dead and he is alive forevermore. |

Ken4Christ: First, I must say I'm glad you don't believe man was made from mud. From the evidence most of us see with our very own two eyes, man is simply man who is not eternal but will someday die. But if you want to ignore all you see with your own two eyes and believe what you read in a book, so be it for you and anyone who wants to believe what you believe. Hopefully, most will not join you and believe nourishing themselves with knowledge will kill them, but will see instead that it is ignorance that kills.

budaatum: Why are you still having a hardened heart?? |
Re: The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by budaatum: 1:40pm On Jul 08 |
obonujoker: I blame God, though I don't think it is a hardened heart, but a curious discerning heart and soul and mind and being. God gave buda the sort of heart and soul and mind and being that if Moses told buda that buda must stay at the bottom of the mountain with Aaron and Ahibu and the 70 elders while he alone must go up the mountain to see God, buda would tell Moses to go fuq himself. buda is going up the mountain to see God too, and if God don't like it God must burn buda. And if some God put buda in the Garden of Eden and says don't eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or buda will surely die. As soon as that God turns its back, buda will pluck the fruit of knowledge and test its spirit to see if it will truly kill buda or not. That, is how the gods have made buda to be. Not just to believe, but to ask and knock and seek for understanding with all of buda's God given heart and soul and mind and being and time and existence. |

Re: The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by Ken4Christ: 6:54pm On Jul 08 |
Everyday247: You don't get my point. If you know that committing suicide is not the end of life, that there is a life after death with the possibility of ending up in a burning flame, you will refrain from it. Most people do it because of ignorance and also because of wrong knowledge they have acquired through the years about what death really means. If you take my admonition as a threat, it also means that you are accusing Jesus of doing the same because he spoke of hell or eternal damnation more than any in the Bible. He even cursed some nations into hell. |

Re: The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by Ken4Christ: 3:49am On Jul 09 |
budaatum: You believe Lord Luggard amalgamated Nigeria because history recorded it. The birth, death, burial, resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus is not just an historical fact, history itself revolves around Jesus. Jesus is the reference point of all historical information. Even your birthday is with reference to Jesus. And you are still asking for proof of his existence when you can't keep records of your life history without him. |
Re: The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by Ken4Christ: 4:01am On Jul 09 |
Ganjafama: God doesn't throw anyone there. You choose to go there in spite of the warnings. Hell was not created for man. It was created for the devil and his angels because they don't have redemption. But Adam disobeyed God, yielded to the temptation of the devil and became subject to the devil by law. He also lost the dominion of the earth to him. This is why the devil is called, the god of this world. Since the devil has been destined for hell, he has the power to take those who served him or subject to him to hell. So, the truth is that the entire human race were headed for hell before Jesus came apart from a few people among the nation of Israel he had a covenant with. Jesus actually died to pay the price for man's sin and rescue us from the dominion of Satan. So, those who accept him as Lord and Saviour are delivered from that horrible place. Those who reject him have made choice to continue on their journey to hell because Satan himself will claim your soul. And God cannot do anything about it because he is a just God who obeys the rules of law he established. |

Dtruthspeaker:Because I hate fornication I must kill my son who impregnated a girl? It is only a Demon that can do that. A loving God won't do that. |
Re: The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by Dtruthspeaker: 10:47am On Jul 09 |
Ganjafama: Is it only fornication your child committed? Does he not steal, rape, lie, cheat, kill, oppress, abuse, assault and batter others in addition? On this fornication alone, did you not first explain to him and warn him and even several times saved him for which he even said thank you, like this guy https://www.nairaland.com/8148085/man-explains-why-he-stopped#130856279. Yet after all these things the goat still went and did it. Now the goat has caused your family, neighbours and enemies to laugh and abuse you, the family of the girl and everyone who.hears about it also. Like the mennappers killed by police in mushin, which father or mother would say that is their child? Even you would deny them that they are your brothers and cousins! That is why kidnappers and armed robbers and cultist and evil.things should be killing people like you so that you evil children rebelious children can be transported to hell quickly |
Re: The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by budaatum: 11:48am On Jul 09 |
Ken4Christ: No, Ken, i do not believe Lord Luggard algamated Nigeria just because history recorded it. I can write a story here that I have 2 heads and next year provide it as evidence of my 2 heads, but I'm very certain you will not believe I have 2 heads just because I provided my story I wrote that I have 2 heads. There are documents signed at the time that one can check in Nigeria and in Lord Luggard's country to verify if Lord Luggard algamated Nigeria or not. That is how one tests all spirits, instead of just believing his story. |

Re: The Afterlife- Fact Or Fallacy? by budaatum: 12:07pm On Jul 09 |
Michael547: No, I don't believe that there are any Gods except for the ones we humans create for ourselves in our own heads. By the way, your question would make more sense without "believe". One only believes what one is not sure or certain of. I may believe I have a million Naira in my pocket because I don't know how much is in my pocket. Once I have checked my pocket, I would know if a million Naira was in it or not. 1 Like |
