Which school is this, because if had known i would only declare it to the UK government/embassy during visa application.

Is over 2 week's I'm waiting for CAS ,and the school is so slow over everything.

Declaring your past visa refusal will not affect your CAS application. Some schools are just slow with issuing CAS, you will surely get it soon.

Hello Everyone,
I recently received offers for the September intake for my MSc in Project Management from both Ravensbourne University and the University of Hertfordshire. Ravensbourne University is located in North Greenwich, SE London, with a tuition fee of £14,500. The initial deposit for CAS issuance is £8,700 (60%), with the balance of £5,800 due in January 2025.
The University of Hertfordshire is in Hatfield, UK, with a tuition fee of £16,500. The initial deposit for CAS issuance is £5,000 (60%), followed by a 65% payment of £7,475 in January, and the final balance of £4,025 due in April 2025.
Really confused of which offer to accept as I'm slightly aware of the high cost of living in London. Please advice on which offer to accept considering cost of living, rent, transport, tuition fee, racism and my likelihood of quickly getting a job as a student in both university and location.
Thank you all in advance

I will advise you don't tell the university the whole truth(Only the embassy needs your truth), I have done that and I'm paying for it with lengthy delays.

Few Universities like Teesside University doesn't allow it

Una go just de talk like say una sure about everything.

I had a previous visa refusal which I declared to my school and even explained why i was given the refusal. I got my CAS 3 days after application without stress. Same as my friend, she even had 2 UK visit visa refusals sef.

My bad, just heard some schools don’t really care so far you can explain, but I also know schools that won’t issue the cas once they see visa refusal even if you explain . So bro it’s calm

London is tough, I’d advise you go with Hertfordshire. Whatever you want to do, it has to be now. Time isn’t on your side again

Unless you are fully loaded, don’t even think about studying and living in London. Standard of living is very very high. Accommodation alone go wan wound you.

Bro, avoid London at all cost. No job for London, especially for student. Choose the other option. Accept the offer and defer to January intake. U got limited time.. Before school go verify ur tuition deposit, arrange interview for u, e dey take a month plus... Unless you have money to sort things out fast... but even at that na risk...

Baba which school?. Congratulations to you both.
Pls, on the visa application, is it true that they only ask "if you have had a visa refusal to the UK" On the part of traveling history. Cus a friend said there is no question such as "if you have been refused visa to any other countries" on the application... How true pls.

I hope you are not applying for September? While you may want to risk it, only continue if your POF is ready or almost ready and your tuition deposit. There's no time again like that.

To get feedback from schools varies. I believe some schools must have closed their admission for international student. Tomorrow Na July.
No o, I only applied for January.

To choose, it'd be best to consider if you have accommodation funds ready and set aside as that would really determine where to get more value. Look online at rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent.html to get an idea of how much your rent would be. Review this for a couple of months and if you have the money, go with the affordable areas.

Also I'd suggest paying more fees that the minimum amount so that you don't fall victim of weaker naira and exchange rates.

Lastly, whilst London may offer access to jobs, events, professional and social networking, all of these are still achievable from Hatfield where fast train into North London is about 18 mins. Part time jobs and accommodation search can go both ways, either quick or slow, it's all down to your affordability and what you're gunning for. The choice ultimately is yours to make from your own research.

Well I'm just trying to cut cost as much as possible. With your analysis I can get an apartment outside London and still attend Ravensbourne with 14,500 tuition

Sometimes ranking matters,it shouldn’t be ignored.Unless to ‘japa’ alone is the goal and not things like job prospects etc then i’ll avoid some of this bottom tier universities that tend to have a lot of bad reviews. It pains me that international students in the UK get to pay more than they should just to end up in unis that even the home students avoid going to.
