Another update made by IRCC

I do not think this is a correct information. As a rule of thumb, always verify your information with IRCC website or their X handle. I have seen the article being circulated but it is not true.

Someone should respond please 🙏🏾

I did biometric on 10th June and it was updated on 5th July. But when it got updated on my portal, it showed 10th June …so here’s my question
Do I start counting from 10th June or 5th July?… I mean do I assume that they’ve received it since 10th June and started processing it or they started processing it when it reflected on the portal?

The information is on canada government website..same website used by IRCC but the law is not enforced yet, it is a proposed regulation..

The other circulating online are making speculations as if law is enforced which is not correct.

IRCC is consulting with the public or Canadians feedback, before proposed law if to be implemented.

Assumptions: With the way things are going with canada immigration and study permits at the moment..May be a positive feedback on the amendments.

The fact that it was updated on your portal does not mean that IRCC did not receive it before then, just be hopeful for a favourable response.

Greetings Everyone
I submitted my second application on the 29th of May, my medical was updated as passed in early June, my Biometric was updated on the 2nd of July, after series of mails. Last week Friday I was sent a mail to pay 85 cad so as to continue processing my application ( though I change my compound surname and added a middle name)
Please when should I be expecting response from them?
Is this a good sign
Thanks in anticipation

Same situation here. Biometric done June 10th, "Biometric completed" Updated on my ircc portal July 3rd. Crickets ever since lol.
I read on the Canada visa forum that "Biometrics completed" Usually means someone has actually started reviewing your case, so hopefully we get a good decision.

Hi everyone,
Please how do I get to Lagos biometric location using public transport. Please it’s urgent.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 2:01am On Jul 09
Initially I tried booking with Q-Life, I canceled it because I couldn't pick my own appointment date and it was for 78k. I tried booking with IOM, I could pick my own appointment date but it costs 144k. Eventually, I used Q-Life. It depends on how deep your pocket is. IOM is closer to where I live, but I chose the distance to save me some money.

Thank you so much. Dey sent me dat 144k when I booked with IOM buh I wanted to be sure I was seeing the right amount cos this is actually my second medicals and I did not spend dat much for the first one. I had to book with qlife, I have left IOM for people that have money😂

Hello.

In case anyone is landing Calgary soon and needs a place, there is a room that would become available from July 15 in NW area close to transit and downtown. About 18 minutes to UofC.

The rent includes utilities except for WiFi which is a small fee monthly. It’s a 3 bed flat and shared with 2 other Naija folks.

Anyone interested should quote me for more details.

The bus stop is Ikate (Round About). I will also suggest you do all necessary photocopies and printings before coming. You may end up paying 1k to 2k for printing per page

A fully funded MSc program in what?

You can't be asking vague questions, to be honest.

It's possible to get funding, but it typically has to be for a research master's. Canada is mostly looking for international tuition to fund their schools, so getting full funding is difficult.

Canadians are looking for full scholarships as well even as the fees are cheap for them

It's possible for international students to get full scholarships, but it's difficult. Mostly, what you see are scholarship grants where a certain percentage of the fees is paid. For personal research, you would need to find out more about it.

I have met very few people who have been granted full scholarships, but they had extraordinary results and were doing research in very specific fields.

One person I met was doing research on cancer and how computer programs can detect cancer in someone's bloodstream. These are very specific research projects that were funded by private companies in the U.S. in collaboration with the University of Toronto. This research was tied to a professor, so the professor was able to give the student a full scholarship. The student was from Nigeria and graduated from Covenant University with extraordinary results.

After getting admission, the student emailed the professor with a proposal, and the professor was able to assist. Her master's program was then fully funded.

It is hard, but it is possible. Just do your research to find what suits you.

No one has all the answers

You have better options in USA, but it has to be for research that is highly sought after.

Sleep on both website to see which one you qualify for
The website is always updated with the most recent scholarships from different countries. It would be good to open once in the while to see which one you qualify for

Best of luck

He has not started how much he has as CASH in bank to support you.

He did note mention if he has property or other assets.

He only mentioned his average income- I think it will be better if he is specific.
