Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Ruggedfighter: 11:51am On Jul 09 |
Emoreni:Thanks, bro. Well, for tips, I can't really say I did anything special aside studying. There's no other way to ace or pass MB aside studying well and smart. The God factor too is important. Personally, I didn't involve myself in extra curricular activities, so, it was just me and my books only. Aside reading, you have to be smart too, always put ur ears down for vital pieces of information as they can be very important. You could be reading your eyes out and someone somewhere who isn't doing too much, knows or has information on areas that questions would come out from. At the end of the day, the person would do far better than you, not because he read harder or better, but because he had the information and focused on what's important. It's smart work. As you're studying, keep your ears down too. Also, very important, do past questions. Look for your school's past questions and work on as many years as possible. Even look for those of other schools too if you have enough time (But your school's PQ should be your number one priority). Before I started my MB, a friend of mine who was doing his, sent his theory questions to me and I went through. When I started mine, I saw about two of those questions from him own theory in mine too. So, it's possible that by coincidence, you could see questions like that too. Just work on anything you lay your hands on. Like I said, there's no better way to passing MB than reading hard and smart. And also, remember God is important too. Pray to God to favour you and crown your efforts with good success. 4 Likes |

Hi medics, a niece of mine which I sponsor just saw her jamb results and she scored 300 going for MBBS, pls I will need some recommendations of schools in south east that she can enter which are not too competitive and which uses Post utme, because her waec results are not that that good 3 c4's and 2A's |

Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Ruggedfighter: 7:26pm On Jul 12 |
Championhala:Let her go to Uniuyo. |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Championhala: 8:43pm On Jul 12 |
Ruggedfighter:Just found out they use o'level grading does she stand a chance with 3 c4's and 2A's considering the rate of miracle centres in this part of the country and I'm not too sure my brother would allow her leave the region (Abia specifically) because she's the only child |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Ruggedfighter: 10:23pm On Jul 12 |
Championhala:Uniuyo do not use o level and by the way, Uyo is just few hours from Abia. That said, if she’s keen on studying in the east, there’s Absu, COOU, Ebsu, Esut, Imsu. These are schools I am certain she has a very very good chance. The federal schools in the east always have outrageous cut offs, so I’ll advise her to go for any of the state schools. |

Good morning everyone, please I want to clarify if it is possible for a dental student to convert his BDS degree to MBBS, I've heard that it's possible in Nigeria but I want to be sure if it's true. Thanks |

Please can someone give me some YouTube channels for embryology and histology |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Ruggedfighter: 10:17am On Jul 17 |
wizi44:For embryology, just search “Ninja nerd or (Nerd ninja) embryology” on your YouTube, it’ll show you his videos. For histology, I think it’s a bit east to read and understand. If you’re having a problem with it though, you could just search on YouTube. I never really watched videos on histology, so I won’t know. 1 Like |

Good day docs. I just want to know if it's possible to change a dental degree to a medical one. I can't be reading everything with them for 4 years and still not get MBBS |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Cardiojosh(m): 4:44pm On Jul 17 |
Sarcastic101: No!!!. And you are in a BDS program, which one is you can't be reading everything with them and still not get MBBs. |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Cardiojosh(m): 4:45pm On Jul 17 |
Ruggedfighter: With Iderbir Singh textbook I believe he'll be fine for histology 1 Like |

Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Sarcastic101: 4:59pm On Jul 17 |
Cardiojosh:if you read dentistry it'll get to the point where you ask your self if it's medicine or dentistry you're reading. Because you'd do everything they do until 500lvl where you'd now specialize. You have your own BDS exams to write alongside MB exams. We read 95% of what med students read and it's not supposed to be so since we have our own thing to read. I don't know why most Nigerian universities fuse medical and dental schools together |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Ruggedfighter: 7:47pm On Jul 17 |
Cardiojosh:Yea, exactly. |
