Greedy and wicked set of people. They want to continue monopolizing the sector so that nigerians will continue living at their mercy. Let the government open the borders for importation. I am sure that make them stand on their toes 4 Likes |

So, nigerians should keep on suffering for food because of your selfish interest of making much money from local food production which is not enough to sustain us...Government should give food free importation in order to compete with our so call local farm product which are mostly coster than imported once. 2 Likes |

Government gave them a chance, they exploited Nigerians. So you expect governor to wait till the price of rice hit 200k per bag Abi? At this point, local farmers should find a way to compete with imported food. If they can’t, let them close shop 1 Like |

I support the government on this. Flood the market with importation of foods and crash food stuff high exobitant price. Nigeria is not yet ripe for local farmers to control price of food supply. |

Which gain are you people talking of. Is it not the same process that the ones being imported go through? And still comes cheaper even with transportation? So Nigerians will die off while waiting for you to make all the gains in the world before flooding the market with food? Someone was narrating the other day how a popular garri market now operates quota system just to make sure price doesn't come down. We are just holding ourselves down. |

The best news I have heard in days. Please blow open those boders let food come in. What are they saying? Which Gains? When they produce locally with loans from our tax money, they'll export to neighboring African countries, scarcity and high prices here. Take home pay no dey reach home again because of high prices of food stuffs. 1 Like |

Importation is the best option because Buhari's people think they have the monopoly to starve Nigeria and skyrocket the price. All the same, I know Tinubu will reverse it soon to favour the north again before election |

Nope I disagree. For rice Millers, you can import Paddy, and since there is no paddy to mill for now, import both! Simple as ABC! |

So that they can continue to monopolize the market price and eventually kill us with high cost of food prices...... Who is not tired of drinking garri and akara every morning.... What these people produce is not enough to care for our consumption needs, hence, the high cost of food, asides the activities of bandits and horders, who suck up food items to create scarcity and later sell at exorbitant prices. |
