I love poetry whether read or performed.
But African poetry is meant to be spoken and performed like Ewi ni èdè Yorùbá.

What club is that? And whoever said poetry performed on stage is spoken word? Spoken word is just rap without beats to me. Poems should be performed, but its beauty lioes in the hidden messages and metaphors when read.
