Sorry about this.
Like i stated earlier, it would have been better and more straightfoward you applied through Belgium since your spouse resides there.
However, the fact that it has taken this long, 7 weeks, makes me think they are likely to grant you the visa just that they are probably liasing with Belgian authorities to do some verifications before taking a decision.
A refusal ll not usually take this long unless after investigations they find that you guys were not properly married. Just calm down and continue to excercise patience
Thank you so much. I believed the verification made it tarry and Hoping for the best.

More over did you applied for short stay or long stay visa?
Nicholasguzy:

Belgium wasn’t taking any applications for like two months due to one network ish. Now they just announced they will resume back by July 22.
If I knew France won’t adhere to their 15 days wait, I wouldn’t have apply. Even Spain with tougher restrictions dey issue am in two weeks under the same directive.
Make them jus give me my passport back i dey pray.

Is your marriage already registered in Belgium?
Nah just legalized at their embassy here in Nigeria. The requirement doesn’t mandate it to be registered in the home country before applying

Ohh it should not have take so long then. It means they are doing some investigation on your marriage
7 week is too long for short stay visa

Welcome to Schengen.
That’s no big deal.
No reason to sulk.
Study the reasons, show people who can help.
Let the season of Olympics go off.
Tackle it and reapply to that same France.
If need be work on anything needed before the next application.
Goodluck.

Well I had about 3m on that account but please dont use it as a standard. I think the most important is proving you have a steady source of income with enough not only to offset the planned trip but also for your upkeep during and after the trip. Remember all my tickets were paid already and I didnt need to pay for accommodation since i ll be staying with family members.
In a nutshell, every application is unique and is treated according to it's unique merit.

Good day House

Please I have a question, I would like to ask that, when submitting at TLS, am I to provide my sponsor's income tax return or my own?

May I ask why you are applying now?
I assume you are a Schengen first timer.
Hmmmm….
AKAyomide:

I have my submission on either 19-24 of this month. I have my accommodation settled down and flight too. But I am a being skeptical about the process!

I am applying for the first time though! I am a bit skeptical about the process of everything to be real to you because the person in charge of my application you told me that the only thing I need to do is to come for my biometrics and that is all I think I am aware with the whole process
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by yerilistik: 9:41pm On Jul 09
AKAyomide:

Please what do you mean by having steady of incomes?
I mean your account should show you have regular source of income and not deposits of lump sums of money probably borrowed from someone which is difficult to explain to the visa officer. A good regular source of income is a way to show the visa officer that you have something that will make you come back after your trip. This is the reason why those who sponsor themselves from thier businesses or jobs stand higher chances of getting visa than those sponsored especially if you are young. Visa officers often see young applicants as potential japarians looking for all available means to japa.

Sad.
Don't lose hope. Don't feel bad.
Assess their reasons and try again. The plan is to discourage you but you'll not be discharged.

“The person in charge”??
So most likely you know nothing about this application?
You know nothing about documents that would be “packaged” for you.
All you would just do it go and do biometrics

No more words.

This sounds strange.
Honestly this process is not that complicated to warrant running after agents that will probably scam you or package anything for you and submit.
You need to know what the agent is submitting on your behalf because 10 years visa ban is real that is if the visa officer discovers fake documentations or lies, you can be banned for many years.

You are already set in your mind.
’Do yourself the honor of reading through this thread.
And mind you when you get a ban from France , the whole G7 bans you.
Go ahead and use your “slot”.
Or get the information from the “slot giver”.
AKAyomide:

There’s nothing like a fake documentation. Please in case there’s, what are the documents to watch out for so I can list them out on my note and on how to cross check them in any provided site. It is a slot basically that was given to him

Good evening friends,

I am applying for Shengen visa (France). I have only filled out the basics online but I have not submitted my application. I need assistance on how to arrange my supporting documents.

I basically live in Nigeria and South Africa on one month intervals so I have a South Africa work permit valid for 3 years on my passport.

2 personal registered businesses (In Nigeria)

My bank account has a balance of about 30M Naira (purposely saved for this trip since January) I transferred this money from my business account into my personal account since January and have left it there. there are other inflows and outflows going on in my account but has always maintained a minimum balance of at least 30m Naira since January till date.

I have landed properties (one with CofO and the other have no C of O.

I am married and have children, family lives full time in Nigeria. But they are not going with me on the trip.

I have comprehensive health insurance in South Africa that covers when I am overseas.

Please, I need assistance on how to prepare my documents in a way that it makes good sense and gives low chances of refusal.
I will appreciate your responses.

Thanks you.
