Federal get 52%, normally the states get the rest 47% hence enough money, now state get 26 percent and local government get 20.8 or so, that is about 45 percent of what they usually get will be withheld by federal lol, you still think there is enough money.

For now, solidifying his structures across all LGAs is more important for Fubara than fighting to receive LGA allocations.

In most of these states the elected LGA chairmen will even receive the allocation and then take it to the Governor to share for them.

If not you get suspended or you won't come back or the State Governors will use the assembly and the state judiciary to frustrate you.

The next is for Inec to take care of LG elections.
At least our streets will be fixed, our drainage will be fixed, now we can hold our grassroot politicians and leaders responsible for bad inter street roads and blocked drainage rather than waiting for he governors to remember us in our area.

As a matter of urgency state govt should be scrapped, they are mostly useless, we should go back to regional and local govts only, more responsibilities and finance should be placed on the local govt we can all easily access. The state gov get huge allocations and do next to nothing.

State electoral commissions can still conduct elections but it must be within a stipulated time and no tenure elongation can go more than 180 days

Good development. Tinubu is getting it right gradually. Most of Nigeria problem including poverty and insecurity can be traced to ineffective LG administration.
