Hezmatosky: Have you been inside a barracks to see the average accomodation in the barracks? You won't agree to pay 500k for 90 percent of those accomodations.. |

mohims:If you say there's no rank like General in the Nigerian Army, then what rank does the Chief of Defense Staff wear? Or are saying he wears the same Lieutenant General as the Chief of Army Staff? Man, no one knows all; so learn. The CDS is always a four-star general while the COAS, along with the Chief of the Naval and the Chief of the Air Staff are always three-star generals. The President is always the Field Marshal (Commander-in-Chief of the three arms of the Armed Forces) 1 Like |

EbiJUNIRO: The US pay, although it seems nice.. but does the pay provide a good standard of living? You know $1,700 is about 2.2m+ in Nigeria, which is a whole lot. But compared to the US, is the $1,700 a month a good salary? |

For those who thinks that the poster posted rubbish, I want to tell you something. I am very close to the barracks, one of my siblings is married to a soldier, I can tell you without mincing words that most soldiers that I know do make complains about thier payments. They mostly rely on the crumbs they will get when posted out for lucrative outside duties like providing security' at different check points or oil installations or as security orderlies to politicians. And to even get these slots They most times have to play some kind of politics in the barracks. Nigeria needs to take care of her armies. Those guys are risking thier lives for Nigeria for almost nothing in return. |

Voltron007:How is the least paid job in Toronto pay more than a General in Nigeria, is the person on minimum wage in a very expensive city like Toronto not buying food and paying rent? Keep doing rubbish conversion to Naira and be deceiving yourself that you are better financially than a general in Nigeria. |
Re: What To Know About The Nigerian Army Salary Structure by TeeSha(m): 3:29pm On Jul 11 |
NairalandGOAT1: Thats not true. Their take home is higher than that of the Police. Plus the fact that they have enough barrack accomodation for their personnel unlike the police 1 Like |
