Sure they shouldn't.

When I heard it was scrapped the first thing that hit me was 'subsidy is gone' by our dearest BAT. Might have been better to get an inside grasp first. I hope it doesn't come to bite them and sincerely hope they are able to 'smash the gangs'

I'm actually surprised to read that they have spent that much even before the case is settled in court. Such a wasteful govt, Rwanda will only return some money IF they so wish.

Thank you much. It's for my friend actually. He did an engineering course, Elect Elect.
For nursing, we are required to register with a body amd write a qualifying exams, is it same for yours? If so, which body and what exams is required. I will be glad to get clarification
There are many areas in tech.
Incident management, IT support, software engineering, developers, coders, security architect, cloud architect and many more. All these depend on area of interest for your friend. As you know, technology is revolving and currently Gen AI is what every big tech coy is also focusing on now but before you jump OK any of this you must have a basic foundation.
If you want to start as IT support, basic knowledge of network resolution and support, I advice starting with basic security certification, incident management, ITIL(Infrastructure Technology Information Library) a framework for IT service management- Foundation is okay to start with.

For coding or developer, start with learning python, this is a requisite for any many engineering positions to know then basic of security, you can learn that with foundational course like Comptia A+( there are various ones out there).
The field is wide so you choose what you like.
There is IT security assurance, compliance and auditors too

I am glad that my vote counted. Labor won in both my constituency in Scotland. Enough of pot holes , smelly Glasgow…. SNP has been a nuisance for sometime now and I don’t see any change from them.

Highly irritating.
On another note, what was kagame thinking? Was it worth it? Your country is now a byword for badness...
If Nigeria tries this I would be livid.no matter how much money is on offer.

Nigerian politicians are probably looking on in envy.

Hello guys,

Please I recently started shooting at NHS from Nigeria. But I see some band 6 role with salary between 35-42k. Knowing the recent migration rule of 37,800. My friend said for new entrant like me I will be placed on the lower band and this does not qualify to get COS. I am in the tech space with over 3 years experience.

Please is this true?. Should I just focus on Band 7 roles or higher paying role whose minimum band qualify for the new rule.

Here's a list to use for guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupations/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupation-codes

It's true that new entrants are usually placed on the starting point of bands/grades in the NHS/university systems. However, it is possible to get higher spine points that what is offered, so you can always negotiate if you feel you have some bargaining power in terms of skills/experience to do so.

Pls I need your suggestions.
E be like say if you nor get certification or licence here,na minimum wage be your portion o.

Btw what are the low hanging fruits certification one can do and start earning 50k and above.
I came here months ago and am considering prince2 certification.
Can anyone guide me on which firm that can do training and exams for me at an affordable rate.
Btw,how much does it cost to do prince2 and do you think prince2 is popular in UK compared to pmp?
From my personal experience, I can tell you this for free, ,The UK employer give less attention to your certificate, They focus more on Experience cos most of your interview questions will be case studies. So how do one give answer to a case study when they don't have any personal or gone fru situation where they could use such as a case study?. Unless such job is at entry level then I don't know,
PS .Some Employers even go as far as even saying things like UK experience!
