How do you plan for natural disasters. I ve worked both in lekki and vi. The flooding happens because there is continuous rainfall for hours. By Nigeria standard, those areas get planning and drainages. If you want to be surprised, check the same place, one hour after rain, the water will be gone.

Lagos is below sea level. It will happen one day the sea will reclaim it land.

Which of the lekki branches is this? I'm a contractor to GTB and I have been to all GTB branches in Lagos and at least 50% of branches outside Lagos.
I know the terrain of GTB lekki (ShopRite) very well,the compound alone is 3 times the space the building took. the there's good drainage. That picture is not GTB lekki,that banking hall is not lekki (ShopRite),even those black single chairs are not used for customers in GTB.
Also for GTB lekki admiralty, it's impossible,the ground floor is only for reception and security check,no seat,for customer,except banking hall upstairs.
From the picture you posted,that banking hall is neither of the lekki branches I have been to on several occasions.

But It can happen anywhere can be flooded in Lagos. But lekki and Victoria island get solid drainage system.

One time, I was at silverbird cinema. The flooding enter generator room that they needed to shut down the whole complex down.

The second day, I didn't want to to work
