For reall highway roads are now mandated to have drainage for the length or sections where it is required. Obviously the road you quoted is of less economic significance than Ibadan to Iseyin or Ogbomosho to Iseyin so resource allocation to it might not speed up the construction. The Fed Govt is still yet to complete Lagos Ibadan expressway from Iwo road end to the last km at the Cantonment area after almost
2 decades

45km single carriage road saki - Ogbooro road without drainage construction started since 4yrs ago, where is it now? Can you tell us if it's completed or not? This is state government project but abandoned despite huge money earmarked for it

Bro, I am more of Ibadan man than you could think of

I see your posts on this forum & I laughed because it's full of propaganda

Stadium renovation, streelight, motor park terminal, roads are all full of deceitts and media propaganda

If I start to list numbers of non motorable roads across Oyo state, many people will think it's a lie until they ply it themselves

There are lots of bad roads across Oyo state which residents have begged Mr governor since he assumed office but he keeps giving them false hope for the past 5yrs
your lies and propaganda never hold any water here. Don’t worry you will keep on seeing seyi Makinde infrastructural roads projects on nairaland. Seyi even commissioned some roads yesterday too. Stay tuned for more details

This is a world bank project

I hope you know the difference between world bank funded project & state fund projects

Most of the project you advertised on this forum are either world bank projects or projects that are 80% done by previous administration but completed by this present administration

So far, this government has not done well in the areas of infrastructure and I can prove that to you with many facts

There are many world bank projects that never saw the light of the day in Oyo state courtesy of corrupt officials and government. This is a first of it's kind. The monies were put to proper use so we must praise the governor for that. Kapische?

Why do you choose to think like this probably because of party affiliation.

Yes, WB and other development partners provide funds to developing countries for a wide range of issues. BRT accessed such funds to execute the BRT project.

The pertinent questions are:
1. Why are other states not accessing these free funds?
2. Why are others diverting the funds to other purposes or outrightly looting it?

Don't rubbish your education and common sense.
Let's commend people who are working.
Can you say amen to this prayer:
It won’t be well with anybody including their current and unborn generations, who will come here to falsely praise the government because of party affiliation or anything they are gaining from praise singing.

He actually knows the truth that all the bridges been constructed in Oyo State are done by IUFMP, a world bank 100% financed project.

It is obvious you're not informed.
IUFMP came to existence during the regime of Late Governor Ajimobi.
And this was because he was able to meet up with the counterpart funds the state is meant to remit before enjoying the benefits.

Do you due diligence very well, we've gone past era of misinformation and lies.

Thanks
seyi Makinde is doing well in road infrastructures in oyo state

I am telling you IUFMP is the one handling those projects here in Ibadan, if you don't know, seek wisdom and don't continue to show your inept here.

Even the RingRoad Seyi Makinde commissioned yesterday is scrap and resurface.
Re: Ongoing Bridge Construction in Ona River, Odo Ona Apata By Seyi Makinde(pics) by Carlyboi(m): 6:43pm On Jul 12
I don’t know if the standard of the roads Makinde has been constructing in the past few years has improved. The substandard and shoddy repair(maintenance) works he did along the Elebu/Akala express axis was an eyesore.

Hope the phantom streetlights he erected are functional now? Dude hasn’t done badly asides from the poorly awarded and bogus contracts to his cronies who were mending roads like masons lol.

For the smart and enlightened folks in Oyo state cum Ibadan, dude has been average as fvck and there are loads of infractions and corrupt activities going on in his government.

Auctioning, misappropriating and allocating the state’s properties for himself and his cronies is one of such misdeeds.

Dude hasn’t performed better than Lam Adesina considering the level of social infrastructure he met on ground I expected much more from this government. It’s all hype, more hype, less workings and little to show for it.

Education and healthcare sector hasn’t witnessed any serious revamp or quality infrastructure.

Ajimobi had his faults and he’s no saint too he was a crook like the average Nigerian politician, same as this Makinde. One thing that’s evident with Ajimobi’s government is major urban renewal that Oyo state especially Ibadan witnessed under his government at the very least in his first term and the quality of projects unlike Makinde and Akala , the latter whom 70% of his road projects needed reconstruction within two years due them been poorly done.

You can tell us the road of one town to another that Ajimobi did in 8 years. The exception would have been the Ibadan to Iseyin that he awarded at the twighlight of his tenure that was an epic fail. The inept contractor was never mobilized reasonably and work was abandoned. The contract had to be re awarded again by the present governor at another cost to the state

Lots of internal roads not even only Ajimobi but from lam to ladoja to Akala. Ler me give you 2 roads from the same local government of which the area are just 3km apart. Iyana church to Wakajaye road, Papa to Olosan road. It's internal road. Note Iyana church to papa alakia junction is not far from each other. If you need .ore roads from other local governments let me know so I tell you

Mind you, I am not a fan of ajimobi because he is a very wicked man and underperformed in some areas too

Do you know the numbers of roads dualized by Akala?
