If he's appointed he's not yet coronated.the moment he receive the staff of office means that the title is his. He can sit as Oba after coronation.
Military/paramilitary laws permits you to take a traditional office,even in the civil service you only need to apply.
He can take full position after coronation and leaving the service.

But why will someone of such be used as a king, everything has been politicized in this country, why can't the person who will rule in his stead be crowned king? A crowned king will still de dobale for president, first lady, first son, first daughter etc in Private

Nigeria our father's land.

He s not a first-class monarch.
He is better off staying in the military until he becomes a General.
His primary consideration is the money and entitlements for senior military officers.

The late Alaafin was a boy boy to someone before the Oracle (ifa) the great divination picked him ,and left his boss in Lagos to become crown king of My home Town,Great Oyo Empire,in Oyo Town,You'll have to crawl before you walk,even as a prince or king to be you'll still have to do yes sir to some of your lecturers or professors in higher institution first or to your boss as an apprentice ,Think about this very well,it's not a fight.Thank you.
