Vast007: I will advise you to submit it to avoid delays. It is better to provide sufficient documents so that your visa can be out on time. |

Obiany: Stumbled upon this Since you're already tilted towards health, why not look at masters programmes that usher you into a field with a rather protected role and would enable you to work in the NHS? e.g occupational therapy? If you're a nurse looking to hone in on diabetes, then an MA in diabetics is a good bet otherwise, it's tricky as a standalone programme. Healthcare roles in the UK are not relatively highly paid, hence it might be difficult to meet the 38k salary treshold for a work visa except you're working in the NHS (i.e exempt), 1 Like |

cueseun: After you remove 200k, does the amount left in the account still meet up with what the Ukvi require ?? If yes, then you should be good. Then also, what day did you do your biometric and what center ? |

Teamfrosh1201: Due to the current rate it doesn’t meet the required amount as of today but it meets and surpasses the required amount on the day of visa application |

Good day everyone, Pls I want to know how much is needed to support myself (Show on bank statement /POF) in Portsmouth, UK for a 16 month duration course (M.Sc Mechanical Engineering) starting in January 2025? How's the breaking down calculated pls? You might need this for the calculation. The total tuition is £16,700 & I'm depositing £6000 now to balance up the remaining later. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks |

I graduated in 2021 and finished nysc March 2023 but I haven't done any formal jobs since I passed out. Can I use a reference letter from my former ppa for visa application? I was advised to get references from people I worked for or ask my former ppa to date the letter to make it look like I still work with them till today. Asking my former ppa for that is very doable but I'm not sure if it's the best option or if ukvi will flag it. Any advice please? |

Sayi01: You can ask them to date the letter like you still work with them. Then submit your NYSC certificate as prove. |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by Teamfrosh1201: 2:21pm On Jul 16 |
Samuel1104: You will need to show 9 month living cost + the balance of your tuition for 1year. If you are studying outside London, you will need 1,023 per month multiply by 9 month = 9,207 The total amount you will need to show as POF is 9,207 + 10,700 = £19,907. Remember to use a rate that’s high when converting to naira. For example, pounds to naira as at today is 2,098. If you are starting POF today, it will be better to use Atleast 2,400 when converting to naira to avoid story that touch. Goodluck. |

So they can state April 2022 (actual month I started working at my ppa) to July 2024 then attach my nysc certificate and ukvi won't ask for employment letter or payslip right? Teamfrosh1201: |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by Teamfrosh1201: 2:36pm On Jul 16 |
Sayi01: No need for employment letter. Just tell them to write a reference letter. Reference letter is fine. 1 Like |

Sayi01: The nature of a student visa is different from a visit visa. For a student visa, emphasis is on “can you pay your fees and not be a burden for the pendency of your visa?” The fact that you haven’t held any formal jobs is not a crime. But claiming to be in the employ of Someone when you’re not is misrepresentation that you may not be able to justify if asked to. Do you work without a salary? Do you have payslips or a bank statement to show reciept of salary? Simply fill the truth of what you have been doing I.e the informal jobs etc 1 Like |

Hello guys, Please how can one know that decision was successful or refused when email is sent from Tls that Visa application is ready for collection when the decision is not explicitly stated in the email?. Is it until when one collects the passport, it would be known? No single message from Ukvi or nsf. |
