250k per 1 jeep.
But if you look at it critically, this may not be too outrageous considering the price of fuel now. It is about 8hrs trip. They may have to fill the tank 3 or 4 times throughout the trip, and to fill the tank once may cost about 60k. She chop money, but this is what the average Nigerian thief will do. The typical Nigerian thief will use 15m for this trip. Our president will spend 30m on this same trip with 4 Jeeps.

I weep for Nigerians, they don't know they are sitting on a keg of gunpowder. You will be surprised this will just be waved like a normal thing.

What is the important of your convoy?
Madam just use 2 police sirens vehicles only instead of wasting tax payers money to fuel for meaningless convoy.

but #1.5m is actually nothing for fueling 6 vehicles for such journey. the are most likely SUVs.

This woman who used to play the role of a decent mother and wife in Nigerian films has totally lost it because she's made a Minister.

The truth is that most Nigérians who criticise politicians aren't any better than them; they just don't have the opportunity those politicians have.
This is what have been saying. Nigerians are the same. Give them power with money and see them fumble. Just that their are grades to every fumbling

These people are really shameless. She looks like a typical politician thief.

Ministers in Europe don't go with convoy. She could have gone with just 1 or 2 cars at most. Of what use is the ministry of Women affairs to our economy?

Let's go the China way to fight corruption. Death sentence or life in prison.

Don't blame her for the passed maladministration.
Just as she rightly put,the budget was not prepared by her but then, she should take responsible for not doing her homework, on taking over duty from the outgoing minister or perm. Sec.

It’s very possible, most of those cars are V8 and from Abuja to anambra will consume at least 1 tank which is over 100 liters with some errands to run.Do the maths to and fro and know it’s not much.

Very true @bold
It's been long I drove a long distance. It was no longer making sense. Imagine fueling your car with 40k & it won't even take u anywhere. Most people these days only drive car within their neighborhood or to church on Sundays. I really don't know how taxi drivers are making profits this period. Fuel price is crazy!

It's actually not a big deal. 300 litres of fuel at N750 per litre for a to fro journey is N225,000, roughly N250,000. Multiply by 6 and it's N1.5M. Lengthy convoy may be the question but 6 vehicles isn't bad

I was about saying this, the focus should be on cutting down numbers of vehicles in the convoys, fueling those vehicles and drivers welfare and other small small expenses no be beans.
The economy is messed up that 1.5 million is no big money, you can't even get a Nigerian used car with tha amount again.
Exactly!
Anyone that drives knows 1.5m is nothing fueling 6 cars of V8 engines. All these their SUVs are mostly V8. They should cut down number of cars. A women minister ideally don't need more than 2 cars. Security & personal use finish!

To travel from Abuja to Anambra and back with 6 vehicles can take up to 1.5 million naira in fuel price.

Hotels with generator, ask them how much they spend on diesel per month.

If those vehicles are actively used to run errand, they can burn 250k easy (in a whole month).

Anyone who uses, or has used, a V8 engine vehicle knows it's actually no big deal. I have 3 vans with such engine, and last month when they travelled between Abuja and Enugu, we budgeted 250K per van for petrol. And my drivers were not pleased.
This is why government officials should cut down on lengthy convoys. It's not only best for government finance, but also for the environment.

People are only being sensational. Anyone who drives a car know that this figure is absolutely okay.

PS: I am not in the country. However, I was in Nigeria earlier this year and I travelled to my hometown in Kwara. I spent over a hundred thousand to fuel a V6 engine. And prices of fuel isn't as crazy as it is

My jeep consumes 56,000 fuel in 4 days. My fuelling costs a month is nearly 300,000.

You have to factor in that they made a journey that requires at least one refueling in Kogi state, and another in Anambra to move around, then one in Anambra or Enugu, another in Kogi before landing in Abuja.
