I can only hold my father accountable based on his promises. My father never promised to assess Tinubu's government after one year.

Because your father is more honourable and have conscience than those fools in the picture.

He surely shouldn't get involved from beginning but he did when it wasn't a president from his tribe but is now quiet when the president is his tribes man. He brought this on him self. Obasanjo is old too but plain on every front.

That's humans for you. The issue most Nigerians have is that they see celebrities and top people in the society as very honest and without sin. Not knowing they are normal humans like everyone else.
Nobody can beat him to do what he doesn't want to do.
The best thing is for youths to leave him and face their future.

Chai Fear God my brother, Fear God and stop this eye service. which good moves has he made, and the economy is sinking with speed? This level of hypocrisy is an abomination, you said the other who are disasters, so what is happening here now is not a disaster right? Haaaa!!!! even in the bible God hates a lying tongue.

Removal of subsidy is a good move. Introduction of student loan is another good move. Ongoing healthcare reforms is a very good move.
The start of the Lagos-Calabar road is an excellent move. LG autonomy is a masterstroke given the fact that it will take ages if not impossible for him to embark on the alternative of attempted restructuring, the Electricity Bill from last year is a great move, among others. If you can't see these even if it is one, i have no obligations to help you. It's not campaign season BTW. i understand people don't usually see past food, and there is no food (or food is expensive), so i might understand your frustrations.

Why are you waiting for his assessment? Even a three-year-old baby or an unschooled idiot will give a correct assessment of this rudderless government, Parallel F9 (failed in all subjects).
His silence is not surprising to me. I lost most of the respect I had for him because of his very loud silence during the last government. I guess his public profile is just a facade that hides is sordid under belly, so-to-speak.

The man I believe is 90 years old. Majority of those in their 90s are already retired in their villages.
So it doesn't make sense to expect anything from Wole Soyinka. He's no longer young to be doing active politics.
We have youths who are defending politicians aimlessly in nairaland and they don't even know their right from their left.
Those youths should have focus their energy in fighting for good governance.
People like them Wole have played their part either good or bad in the survival of the country.
It's now left for the youths to take action. But they rather get themselves involved in trolling (attacking Igbos daily as if to say Igbos are the one holding leadership positions. They have even sworn that no Igbo man will be president. They should keep on ruling), content creation and ballot box snatching.

He knows that he'll be 90 years by the time Tinubu will be one year on office. So he knows what he was doing.

Lol. Igbos have never won abusing power and their office in the administrative and political leadership of Nigeria talk less of some power drunk bigoted MODs on Nairaland attempting to shake small yansh.

Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis will always swoop on them to check their excesses and reset their brain. If they don't like my comments here they can ban me for life anytime.

Punctuation: There are missing commas and periods. Proper punctuation helps to clarify the meaning and separate different ideas.
Spelling and Grammar: Some words are misspelled or used incorrectly, such as "yansh" (colloquial term) and "MODs" (should be fully capitalized or clarified as "moderators"wink.
Sentence Structure: The sentences are somewhat disjointed and could be better structured for readability.
Capitalization: Proper nouns and the beginnings of sentences should be capitalized.
Clarity and Tone: Some phrases can be clearer and more respectful.

Corrected Version
"Lol. Igbos have never succeeded in abusing power and their office in the administrative and political leadership of Nigeria, let alone some power-drunk, bigoted moderators on Nairaland attempting to show off.

Even if he decides to embark on a protest or make scathing remarks about Tinubu govt today, you people will still mock him and say he was the one that singlehandedly made Tinubu president. So, it's useless.

No it isn't useless.

Soyinka is a public figure. People naturally want to hear what he has to say about the Tinubu administration after 16 months in the saddle. Not everybody just wants to mock him regardless of what he says.

Maybe he is just taking his time. But the clock is ticking...
