Have you seen a scammer refund money out of the goodness of their hearts?
At the very least you can threaten a licensed consultant by saying you'll report to their licensing body. Who will you report an unlicensed consultant to? He's a lone agent.
IRCC has it in bold letters on their site, that you do due diligence with whomever handles your application.
So in this case who claims responsibility? The owner of the application!

Hahahaha

If that Scammer is documented in Canada, I bet She will be forced to make a refund with abeg or jail time awaits her especially if she is not licensed to offer immigration services LOL!

Hi Dear,

Not trying to discourage you but I'm not sure you will get any nomination with the sales manager role/administrative assistant if u do not

1. Have a sibling residing in a province that does sibling nomination (eg if u av a sibling that has lived in manitoba for over a yr). He or she can nominate you, which gives u an extra 600 points.

2. You might even qualify for the general draw if age is on ur side, ie. If u are under under 30, and have a sibling as a permanent residency holder and also have masters and french with perfect IELTS score. Then ur NOC shouldn't be an issue (i.e sales manger or administrative assistant will be ok)

If both options don't fit ur profile, you might consider going through the trending category draw that canada launched last year (I'm referring to Stem, Agriculture, Transportation, French and Health Care. Try and see if either of the five is workable for you.

Thank you

My spouse siblings are citizens in Canada, we have about 470 crs score. We don’t have anyone in Manitoba.
I don’t understand what you mean by the trending category as we don’t qualify for them.

French 😭, I don’t know if I can ace it

Heya,

Ooh ok. 470 isn't bad for the category draws, especially in respect to transport and Agriculture..
If you've not worked in either of the sectors or not able to get references from both, you shouldn't give up.
Just stay in the pool. Maybe in the coming months, new categories will be introduced. I heard they might introduce some soon, not sure when.

Canada is really unpredictable so don't give up.

It was a scam right from the beginning. Visa agents would ask you to pay different fees and give you fake letters all for it to end in "your visa application was denied." Just last week, my uncle called me to check the Canadian work visa papers of an iron bender who works on his site, long story short, all his papers were fake and when I called the visa agent to demand for his (the iron bender's) IRCC account details which everyone MUST have when applying for visa to Canada, the scammer visa agent said he was working directly with "the commission". When I asked him to tell me the exact commission, he cut the call and stopped picking.

You have been scammed! It always ends in "your application was denied!"

It has been said several times on Nairaland - "NEVER USE VISA AGENTS! DO THE WHOLE PROCESS YOURSELF!!"

Quite on the contrary, it wasn't a scam, we did WES verification and got emailed from Canada. We also got some further correspondence up to the point they asked us to take our passports to VFS for our biometrics which we did.

So since we stopped at that stage and we were not given the PR ,I'm just asking for ways to go about recovering the visa fees I paid earlier as my consultant (who is a licenced immigration consultant) appears to be foot dragging

If your application was processed and got refused, you can’t get application fee back.
It’s only RPRF you get back, & I don’t think you paid that.

Good luck with the jail time especially if she’s not licensed.
Applicant voluntarily decided to use a 3rd party to submit an application who likely didn’t sign paid representative form.
What’s the basis here for arrest here?

Apart from manitoba, is there any other province that can implement PNP for someone to attract additional 600 points?... I currently have an inlaw in Ontario and she's willing to nominate me. Will it be possible from Ontario and what are the steps involved?

The 1st step is to get your IRCC account details from her.

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aworhmabel: 10:06pm On Jul 16
Hi

First step is to calculate ur score via the crs tool (use this link): https://ircc.canada.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Second step is to take the IELTS Exam and make sure u get a minimum of Listening: 8; Reading: 7; Writing: 7; Speaking 7.5 (i will advise you to aim higher, cos the higher ur IELTS test, the higher ur points for language)

Third step is to get ur highest degree evaluated via WES (preferably masters). You can do this while preparing for ur IELTS exam.

Fourth step is to create an express entry profile and enter the pool with the NOC for software developers.

You are lucky that you qualify under STEM. It's part of the ongoing category draw announced last year. However, u av to calculate ur points to be sure u meet the last cutoff. You can also use this link to check the cuttoff of all draws done for stem and also the occupations that fall under STEM. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4

Some provinces like Ontario and British Colombia also conducts draws for tech, so try and get ur WES/IELTS and enter the pool without delay.

But Manitoba family connection or other connection to Manitoba PNP draws is screwed up for now limited quota consider this draws on Manitoba PNP..
You need nomination certificate for 600 points for now no draws on this category for overseas candidates..

its PPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COME AND SEE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a long journey and i am grateful that it has finally come to an end. I apologize in advance if its a long read. It all began with Wes application in the December of 2022 and my IELTS just about a week after WES application. It took WES the standard 6 weeks processing plus 2 weeks to get my transcripts sent to WES, totaling 2 months.

On the 1st Feb i was ready to create my EE profile and so i did.
My IELTS was an overall band 7 and WES was a 3 year bachelor degree, putting me at roughly 320 something CRS especially being that my age was not working to my advantage. With this in mind i quickly sought to increase my scores; french was the only option along with redoing my IELTS to max it the second time around, which i knew i was capable of doing (don't come for me my village people, i know my english language skills grin). The reason i didn't do well enough the first time around is because of various factors (but that's a story for another day).

In my state of desperation, i ventured into the idea of going via the study route but i knew carrying my many kids would have been too costly and i think my brain has expired so pulling it off would have proved taxing on my mental health and my pocket. I resolved to abandon that idea after speaking to a friend of a friend in Canada who proved to be pivotal in my journey. She shared with me an email from IRCC promoting the plan to target francophones in the upcoming immigration strategies. I read the email and realized that french was going to be my strategy, not only to increase points but to get the upper hand. By this time, i am already in the pool and looking for a french tutor to reawaken my french language skill as it had been about 10 years since i last took french language courses at Alliance Francaise. I managed to ask around and got a very good french teacher who agreed to do personalized classes/private tutoring to make sure i meet my goal in the short time i had given myself. Soon my teacher was confident in my abilities and encouraged me to make my first attempt. Which i did and didnt do as well as i should have, bringing me back to the drawing board to restrategize; giving emphasis on my weakest points. I fully immersed myself in the language, listening to podcasts, watching movies, listening to french music, (i recommend Lara Fabian and ofcourse Celine Dion). I was once again ready to make an attempt at TEF. I did and the new scores allowed me get a well needed raise to the ranks of CRS 380s. The cutoff at the time was somewhere in the upper 400s and the only thing i could think to do was to redo my IELTS. It was now around October of 2023. I considered the IT course mentioned here a number of times but decided to start with the IELTS retake.

Long story short as i was getting ready to retake my IELTS in Jan 2024, when lo alas, I received an NOI form OINP for the French skilled priority draws. I knew i had to fork out an extra 1500CAD and so i began to amass it. Just as I was working on that, I then received an ITA from the federal french CBD draw thus beginning my journey to PPR. In a nutshell, allow me to share my timeline:

EE profile creation: 1 Feb 2023
OINP ITA : 18 Jan 2024 ( idid not go through with it)
ITA: 1 Feb 2024 (just hours before the expiry of my profile... na God oo)
AOR: 26 Mar 2024
BIL/MIL : 1 May 2024
BIL linked: 15 May 2024
MEP: 22 May 2024
ADR: 31 May 2024
2nd MIL: 31 May 2024
2nd MEP: 8 Jun 2024
FD: 10 Jun 2024
PPR: 12 Jun 2024

I can only say thank you to everyone on this platform, all questions answered, all the wealth of information, all well wishers, all prayers, all the friends i made, everything and everyone. May everyone be awarded their PPR at the soonest. Special thanks to @honeysweetest, @ednut, @jasperonyx, @graciouswords. To everyone who posts advice on the platform, some questions i did not need to ask as they were already answered in other people's requests for information, thank you for your time and your selflessness. We can't do it without you.
In conclusion: Glory be to God, Most High, with Whom all things are possible. He says and He does. Great is His faithfulness and love.

Its with a grateful heart, i sign out.

Good stuff! Congratulations

Hi guys
To the seniors who made it via Manitoba PNP i have been on this thread since last year and no one as given me any answers.

I got my LAA from Manitoba in December 2023 and i have done everything asked by February 2024. So my question goes

1. How long does it take for me to get a response? It says 6 months on their website.

2. If they are to make a contact is it to my relative or me ( if i am contacted is it by calls or email)

Thanks very much as i await your urgent response

I just got my IELTS results and I got L-9,R-7.5,S-8,W-7. I just need to evaluate my WES to get into the pool.

My JUPEB was not added as another certificate. I actually wrote another exam to get another cert that I used.
But that doesn’t mean you won’t evaluate your JUPEB, coz that’s what makes up your bsc(they’ll definitely ask for the cert and transcript).
The JUPEB was evaluated as; “One semester of undergraduate study”
Remark: The credential is not comparable to a completed Canadian education credential.
So it’s irrelevant when it comes to giving you the 2 or more cert, but relevant to complete your bsc cert evaluation.
