Dear Emeka

I am so sorry to hear about your current predicament. However, have you visited the hospital or reported the seizures to your folks or siblings or friends?

Show us empirical evidence not word of mouth, back your statement with facts.

You have the internet check the facts , I wont fuel your laziness.

Stop living in denial, look around see GAC, Changan, Innoson motors, you see these cars on the road even in your locality , these are brand new cars not the overprized 30 year old Nigerian abused Toyotas you are peddling at inflated amounts.

If business is bad for new car manufacturers like you claim, they would have packed up long ago.

There is a market for new cars in Nigeria, trust me on that, the good old days are coming when people can buy brand new cars for the first time like it happened in the 70s.

coming where ?
if for nothing it have become worst. today most nigeria are going for fairly used nigeria cars no longer tokumbo .

according to Statisense and customs , importation of tokumbo and brand new cars droped by more than 40 %.

camry 2003 big daddy tokumbo that was 1.5m in 2020 is now 5m , this is 21 year old car .the fuel subsidy made people that are not middle class or upper lower class useless and a foolish financial decision to own a car today .

election have bigger consequences if gotten wrong

Brand new car business assembly or production is tough in Nigeria , no matter how hard you push , you might bloody your nose .

Reason is that .

Less than 10% of Nigeria buy brand new car.
Out of those 10%, 5 will be government agency and 3% will be big companies buying for their management and operations .

Only 2 % will be from individuals like me and you, buying from their pocket.
2% is 4 million ppl
That is big enough to form their own country

It was not as if you made sense with your first comment. But your last statement in this very comment only showed all you need is an handkerchief to wipe your tears.
Just for clarity, the present situation of this country for now can be remotely attributed to removal of fuel subsidy.
Now tell me, the three major candidates in the last election promised a removal. So, if your presumed messiah had won, will you still be talking about consequences?

Your candidate is healing and you are still bleeding. Sorry is your case.

I never said anything about a candidate , if you have a contrary opinion about the fact you can list it and not changing the direction of my discussion to politics .

You should be rather looking for money to return to your village or hometown and engage in Farming.

Are you aware that the government has removed VAT on imported material? You also fail to provide statical evidence on your claims and last you obviously don't know anything about manufacturing or current with development in Nigeria.

Why cant some of you keep quiet if you dont know anything. Did the car manufacturers tell you theyre selling to you? Innoson is still a billionaire car maker in Nigeria, how many Nigerians are buying his cars, yet hes selling very well and many other car manufacturers are springing up.

Truth is that many OF THE NEW CAR PLANTS are not even ownerd by the folks who you think own them. Some of them are owned by well connected politicians who use these guys as fronts. They know how to get vehicle supply contacts from different African governments.

Why not look for a security job for now. At least, pending when you'll get something. The criteria is not much

Which imported material?

Be specific, I know the FG removed VAT on diesel, VAT is still being paid for other items.

Live by example and if you want to argue; argue constructively present your facts, leave your emotions aside.

It is not compulsory to respond to every comment you see here, you can just read and move along, something I recommend for you.

The exchange rate is not up to N2000, be factual stop projecting panic here. If the country is as camotse as you project , chatting here will be the least of your concerns. Have a great day.
