Life has phases, there is always a starting point, having submitted CV in several organisations with few call up and no job offer yet, I decide to give Okada Business a try. And if you reside in Massaka, Nasarawa State. And stays around Akwanga, Gwandala, Luvu, Area 1, Zone 5, Zone 4, Up-market etc do well to patronise me.

You can as well tell us how you started, it would mean a whole lot to us at this stage of life.

Guys bookmark this thread.
If this guy will be consistent in doing this job with all humility, focusing on getting better daily, it will not be too long when we will also hear his success story.

Never u despise ur humble beginning.

I could remember when I lost my job, I started "TYPE YOUR DOCUMENT HERE" business. grin grin grin grin. Hope u understood that. I was typing documents for people. Job u will see 95% of ppl doing it was females.
I started doing that job without shame.
I was already touching money before i went back to that level.

Some people will enter my small shop and ask, who is the one typing and when I tell them I am the one, they will be like Ahhhh.....Oga na u wan type. I will say yes.
I was and still very good in computer applications and has relatively good command of English language.

I will pick up their job, type it and made great corrections for them.
Some of them, I will just ask them to tell me what they want and I will put it down for them in papers.

Quality of my job made me to become very popular within the town.
One day the High Court in my area had light issue and the court clerk came to my shop to run court documents.
Court documents has a special way it is written and designed.
When the sample of it was given to me, I did it so perfectly that when the Clerk went back, his boss asked who did such a great job.
That was how they gave me contract to be handling all their documents. Money don dey come oo.

Secondly, the same happened one day the Local Government Chairman was passing around my shop with his driver. They stopped over to make a print out. Unfortunately, he doesn't have his Letter Headed Paper.
I told the driver not to worry as I will design one for them. I did and the man was so happy for saving that situation. He gave me money that was over 15times over my charge for the service.

He gave me his card and invited me to his lodge, where I used his computer to do many other jobs for him. That was how I became his friend from 2009 till today. He is now like a brother to me. He is a big politician in Abuja and still comes down here to visit me.

Few day ago, he call me and said......You are an Auditor, I said yes. He said, I want you to audit my hotel for 5yrs period. Get your team, put up ur proposal and tell me how much it will cost you to do that. Don't give me charge like a friend. Give me ur charge like business transaction.

He has also introduced me to so many of his big guys.

One thing he said to me one day.

"For all those periods I was the L.G Chairman and PA to Governor on Security, all my confidential documents passed through you, I never heard any of my confidential stuff outside. You protected my official and confidential data. I love you for that."

I used that "TYPE YOUR DOCUMENT HERE" job to get married to my beautiful wife.

Now, I can boast of setting up good business for me and another for my wife and also has a regular job as and Auditor.

When i was doing my typing job, I extended to helping students do their assignment and doing research job for them for their final year Projects. I charged good money for that especially those lazy students. Some will tell me to write their project, type and bind after corrections have bn made.

I later employed 2 young ladies and even started doing computer training for people.

Boy, never u despise that humble beginning.
One man one day after I finished typing his documents (He is a lecturer) he paid me N100 and asked me, is this what you will hope on to get married and train your children? You can imagine how I felt that day.
As God would have it, after a while, I got 1yr contract lecturing job in the same university that man teaches through one Director in the school.
My story is long but let me stop so far for now.

Good afternoon sir, I read your reply to his post and was inspired and touched at the same time. Normally I wouldn't have mentioned you as you said there was a job opportunity which you wanted him to hit you up and try because you were specific to him, but when I checked your profile you said you should be asked anything and you might be ones God's sent. Please am also in search of a job. I reside at Abuja. Finished service this year. Thank you in anticipation

But with a larger population of Nigerians getting poorer everyday, fewer people will patronise Okada.

I guess he posted his picture so if you leave around the areas he mentioned, and you recognize him, you can patronize him. But I get your suggestion though.

You do not start a sentence with 'And'. Probably the reason you haven't been hired. Poor sentence construction.
God bless your hustle, regardless.

You are the kind of person that when asking for help or support, it shows that it is not being wasted on a scammer. Thanks for being real. Abuja is fake it until you make it lifestyle but Tinubu regime just changed the narrative. It is now face the reality and hustle your ass out cos fakeness can kill now.

You should have created a thread for this post na. So that it can be pushed to front page. This great story of yours should not miss in between another thread. We hardly hear this kind of inspiring stories now a days. Thank you so much. Lesson from your story is that the humble beginnings of anything one decides to venture into is just a vehicle taking the person to their great destination. Only if the person is ready to accept starting small and endure the rough patches encountered on the way to the great destination.

This is a powerful reminder of the struggle many Nigerians face every day. People like @WizardOfNG, @helinues @yarimo etc with their toxic and divisive rhetoric, are nothing but enemies of progress. Instead of tearing others down, why not support and uplift those working hard to make a living?

Their disdain for others' efforts reveals your own insecurities and lack of empathy. Take a lesson from this story and start seeing the humanity in others. The world needs more support and solidarity, not the kind of bitterness and narrow-mindedness you espouse.

@WizardOfNG, @helinues, @yarimo take a moment to read and reflect on this heartfelt comment. It’s a testament to resilience and determination in the face of adversity, something your narrow-minded and hostile viewpoints seem to lack entirely:
I always love your post. Pungent and professional.

How I wish others emulate your style of discourse. Not abusive nor with ethnic slant.
Grammatical competence with useful idioms.

Salute!
