Griezmann's father is German, and his mom is Portuguese. Giroud is half-Italian. Theo Hernandez is Spanish. Nobody sang about Italians or Germans on that team bus.

Alexis MacAllister has a last name that is clearly far from Spanish. Rodri De Paul is half Italian and has Italian passport. Garnacho was born in Spain to a Spanish father.

Messi is famously fully Italian on both sides of his family.

You didn't hear their names in that song. You didn't hear Enzo sing about competing against teams like Canada,USA, and bloody Jamaica in the 'South American' tournament they just won.

Instead they chose to sing about niggas in Paris.

Boss man, these are not the kind of people you want to cape for.
Spain's Euro 2024-winning CB partnership are both French.

Mauro Camoranesi famously did not know the words to the Italian national anthem as at the time the 2006 World Cup began.

But people are acting like they can't see the intent behind those silly lyrics. Mtchew.

I personally think Enzo succumbed to pressure by accepting he did wrong. The strength of the French national team is the aggregate strength of all pure Africans who represent them.

Why will an African man whose parents are from Africa choose to represent a white man's country? The Argentines chant is satirical and a wake up call to Africans; but then, Africans are stupid and too sensitive.

Imagine how stronger Nigeria will be if Saka and Eze represented us. But then, they both chose to represent England and if I ridicule them for it, it will simply be considered criticism but if a white man does it, it will be tagged racism.

Big shout out to all African players who choose to bear their countries flag proudly and represent them with their hearts.
If your mum hits you with a stick, and stranger hits you with the same stick and force, will your reaction be the same?

Why have you people chosen to ignore context and nuance and bury your heads in the sand?

Egbon, I can swear I like Enzo Fernández more than you do. No allow this feeling cloud your judgement to this level abeg. E no make

Both players didn't influence the final, that's what raumdeuter use to troll them. Not injury or suspension.

Same thing with Morata. He did influence the final. That's what you are using to troll him.

Taking about injuries and finals, have you not trolled KDB here for "running away" from a final?

Morata, expectedly flopped in the final and was bundled out for a more useful Oyarzabal, who scored the winner.

Silva and Terry shouldn't have been examples from you. Such mumu move should only come from Lordfalcao.

You are unserious. These players contribute immensely to UK's GDP and are responsible citizens. Representing their home countries in sport doesn't mean insubordination Mr Ramdeuter.

Do you expect Saka, Eze and co to be allowed to contest for positions and be given the rights of a citizen in UK

If I am from Ghana, I will represent Ghana. Same as Senegal, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Congo, Burkina Faso.

So if you move to UK with your girlfriend and get married there, you automatically expect your kids to represent England? Sounds ridiculous to me.

Stop capping careless. Go and ask Adebayor what happened when he wanted to represent Nigeria

Most players are caught during youth system. If you are a 15 year old in school, you won't be flying back to tussle with old men for Nigeria under 17. You will be in England or France centre of excellence for youngsters with all the best training, facilities and private schooling.. Before you know, you are playing for your adopted country.

Our 1st striker signed. I don't know if this boy is better than Jackson in front of goal.

I am expecting a better striker than what we have to be added before the end of the window.

I doubt I am Enzo's fan. I am one of his biggest critique here for his lazy performances for us. I am just stating facts with no sentiment attached.

Enzo didn't see those chants as being racist, I don't see it as being racist and I am sure there are others who see it similarly.

We live in a word where Demba Ba finds it racist when the 4th official addressed him as "that black guy" and people supported him.

Enzo making fun of black French players for not representing their country is simply banter and not racist.

Foden scored a hattrick against Aston Villa playing as a 10 (that went on to beat Arsenal) and enabled City to win the league.

Remember City went on to win the league.
Foolish people blamed him for not replicating same for England that used him to man mark Rodri.
Foolish people.

I remember Tammy Abraham's case where literally refused to play for Nigeria and instead waited patiently for England call up. Though I don't blame Abraham since his mother is British, but then I need to reference him to make you see how ridiculous what you said is. Even Nedum Onuoha blatantly refused to play for Nigeria and chose to represent England.

But there are positives; heros like Aina, Troost, Lookman, Calvin Bassey etc chose to represent their country of origin and bear her flag proudly.

That is a user rating.
Users meaning fans chose foden.
It is the same users that picked walker.

You have not yet shown me stats to support your claim that foden was the best player in both games.

He didn't score or even give an assist
He didn't have any key pass.
His defensive contributions was one of the worst probably the only person worse than him was kane (defensive contribution)

All this I can back up with data.
You've still not done that with yours.
Everything is still subjective about your opinion.

If we argue Ronaldo vs Messi, you'd Stat bring data to back up your claim.
But it seems this is all too difficult for you.

Imagine using ratings of fans like you to make my point.
What data did you show me? You showed me a whoscored rating. I told you it was a waste of my time because I could show you other ratings that will contradict exactly what whoscored posted. I did same yet you are crying foul.

For example, whoscored penalizes the receiving player even if the pass was bad. So if Declan Rice overhits a ball to Foden, it will be recorded as a lost possession on Foden not on Declan Rice. Imagine someone telling me that Rice had 100% passing accuracy in a game when I watched him pass the ball wrongly. This is a hypothetical.

Another e.g, Whoscored slaps metrics to players for attempting shots. So a player can have a horrible game, but if he attempted multiple shots, his rating may show 7.1 even though his performance was poor.

Whoscored attributes numbers to "assists" and goals. Saka got an assist for Jude's goal yet the deflection is the only reason the ball got to Jude. Saka will have an added value to his rating even if he was poor in that particular game. Jude needed that clutch goal against Slovakia to be MOTM and have the high rating he did. We all watched the game. You can even scroll to the comments here on NL and you'd see people piling on him and lamenting about how poor he was as a 10.

I do remember you trying to claim he had duels and what not and when I asked if 10's are rated based on duels won and defensive tackles put in, I never got a response. Funny Southgate did not remember all these when he was assigning Foden to mark Rodri.

Rafael Van Der Vaart played for RM. See his opinion on Jude: Majority of the comments under this post re-echoed same. We all have eyes.

But he went 1 year without scoring?
He was fired by RM.
His tenure there has been regarded as a monumental failure. Is that true?

Meanwhile, peep the last screenshot. When a player can outperfom his xG that way, you make sure such a player is given the ball in those situations since he will win many odd games just like that. Hazard and Declan Rice know better than you.

My brother.
The same jude slander has been generating waves even on twitter.
If you slandered jude during the euros, you'd be a crowd favourite because people felt his pr was too much for him.

It had nothing to do with his game play.
Did jude have the best tournament by his standards, hell no.

But was jude the best English player at the euros, hell yes.
The games you have pointed out for foden, you have not shown us data to back up your claims in those games.
It's the same subjective talk about he is the best.
We all watched the game and there is no way in hell foden was better especially in that Netherlands game.
Don't mistake hustle play for productive play.
There's a difference.
Because of foden, jude was stationed at the left and yet he still delivered an assist even in the final.
So again.
While your opinion is subjective, I come to you with facts backed by data🙏.

Whatever happened to Foden and Bellingham is on Southgate

The man is like someone who follows whatever others say or do. Ancelotti used Bellingham as an advanced 8/10 in a 442, the boy has gone from playing DM to CM but Southgate carried him to AM. Meanwhile Bellingham would have been better from deep but well he can score goals. Probably is who will create those goals for him when the left wing and lb and LM he enjoyed at RM is almost nonexistent in England 2024squad.

Foden honestly doesn't have much of an excuse is was simply a forced Flopden frauden, he didn't even do better when Saka was sacrificed for him to play from the right side

After all, I was taught in primary school that one of the ways one can become is citizen of a country is through birth. I don't want to believe it has changed.

For example, I know Yamal parents is of African origin but I will find it very very shocking if he opted to play for his parents' African country when he grew up solely at Spain.

Forget all these your shout outs, Most players that opt to represent their African fatherland do so as a last option because they couldn't break into the top country's team. If they were top skilled stars like them Yamal, Musiala or Saka, they wouldn't even think about their fatherland. B.diaz, Zaha, Lookman are good examples

Hazard shone at Chelsea and Belgium, which shows that he wasn't made to only ball in a particular system.

Let your overrated Foden do 30+ Goals+assists like Palmer in Epl and stop ghosting in England colours.

Using a war torn country as an example? Why not use Nigeria as against England. Nigeria is very underdeveloped compared to England and yes, I will represent my country.

Stop looking for isolated cases of Europeans who play for another country cos even at that, if we dig a little deeper, we will realize that both immediate parents have mixed blood. For example, Theo Hernandez.

You're not been sincere with yourself.

MorataFC:

1.Is Spain alien to Messi, too, why he rejected numerous pleas to switch his nationality?
Spain made Messi, give him total support even what Argentina could not afford to give him, but still rejected them just to honour his fatherland.
Representing one's country is about honouring and giving credence to one's roots and origin.

2. Yes, You are just confirming my stance, majority of those who rejected the move are from colonizing countries, while those who accepted are from colonized countries.

3.How do they appreciate them? Yes, they appreciate them when they win but they will be singled out for blame when they lose, they hurl derogatory names at them. Meanwhile, they absolve their own of any blame and instead, direct racist slurs at us, calling us monkeys.
(Saka EURO 2000, Baloteli multiple times)

4. If I'm correct, I think no foreign player was neglected, but rather, it was the home-based players who were not properly handled. Moreover, it's unfair to generalize and judge the entire African continent based on one bad example.

5. They shouldn't have approached them in the first place.

6.If all our players shared this mindset, no one would be willing to represent the nation. But most players consider it an honour and a privilege to play for their country, and they take great pride in representing their nation.
1. Messi choosing Argentina over Spain is a matter of his personal choice. If he decided to choose Spain, no one will ridicule or criticize him for it. Xhaka, an Albania origin, for example decided to player for Switzerland after being approached, his elder brother (taulant Xhaka) decided to play for Albania. Nobody is dragging or ridiculing Xhaka for not giving honor to fatherland.

2. Lol, it's not about colonization. It's about where your career can be seen brightest. The Neymar, Enzo and all flocking to Europe is because that's where the world is watching and they want to be at the top of their game.

3. Insults and racists words is common when a team loses and scapegoat is made. What's the difference with what we did to Iwobi in afcon and what England did to Saka? The only difference between both is because Iwobi is a full-fledged Nigeria and it's done by Nigerians hence we can't call him monkey. Compare the insults Saka received from England and Iwobi received from us and they're almost the same. I was seeing some of the insults thrown at Iwobi and I even felt disgusted sef. The only thing for football is just to try and clamp down on insults in various forms

4. One bad example? Most African countries are known(esp west African side) of not paying their players allawee or match bonus. There's a reason most north Africans go back to represent their country no matter where they're born and that's because most north African countries have improved their standard of living (prompt pay, standard pitch, class facilities). When other African countries imbibe that, then the Sakas of this world will come and represent. Pointing to colonizers is just cheap excuse for our failure.

5. Lmaoo. This is your bias speaking. You know that can never happen in real world grin grin

6. Lol, people will ALWAYS be willing to represent the nation. Like I said earlier, those who couldn't make it at their first choice country will always fall back to their fatherland(Zaha, Diaz). Also those who are citizens and residing in these African countries will always represent (eg Osimhen, Musa). Let us don't make it seem without them Saka and Yamal etc, Africa will be short of representatives. Far from that.
