How much cost of fuel does Toyota Sienna 2004/05 V6 consume per day within Lagos?

Let's say 7am to 7pm. Within Lagos? or 7am to 10pm?

At least 15k - 20k depending on ur waka, route and driving attitude.

Good afternoon guys.

It's hard to work in Naija. Police people are tryna kill me.

Today, I left my home and I was stopped in palm Avenue Mushin. Offence. My temporary driving license expired on the 09/07/24. Exactly 6 days ago.

I was driven to zone D mushin. After every every, I parted with 10k plus 5 hundred for gate. Total =10500...

Immediately, I proceeded to lastma office oshodi where I did the temporary and I got an extension at till 30th of August... I felt invisible and I proceeded to look for client. I saw one just at the oshodi interchange, she was going to mushin(make I dey go house back)

I never start motor a policewoman stopped me at same oshodi interchange.. I gave her a complete paper work of the car plus the new temporary license. She certified everything alright and said it remain "Hackney permit"

After long talk, I offered 1k. She refuse. I showed her my opay, na 2k remain. I offered to transfer to her, make I dey go house drop motor. She refuse transfer. And asked me to go withdraw blah blah.

I left angrily. Using map to find my way, trying not to make some funny turn as Lastma people have dealt with me.

As I was going, another set at mile 2 stopped me, wielding gun etc. Treated me like a criminal, searched my car, asked for the usual etc, I told them it was collected by a policewoman at the oshodi inter change.

Since 12, I have been detained inside a nearby korope in mile 2. My car, my Temporary driving Licence, the new temporary extension I got few hours ago, everything is not in my position...

Current situation.

I wish I could make a case against them. This is not how to treat a law abiding citizen.

Lolzzz... Sorry for your experience.
But if u are law abiding they will not have reason to harass you.
You don't have any business driving if your drivers licence is not with u and valid. At least not out of your street or estate.
You shouldn't drive a car without complete documentation.
If u are doing transportation, commercial or carrying load, u must have lasdri, hackney permit and some other licences from ministry of transportation and even local government permits.
If your car is branded, u must have the licence or necessary permits for it.
And so on and so forth.
This is Lagos, it's a big risk to enter road without being covered.

Normal thing is to have your DL with u anytime u are driving. Na person wey like fight and quarrel go dey go about breaking law na.
U drive without DL and u don't have any original car document to keep as collateral , and u want to quote law, or fight instead of settle, they will impound ur car and tell u to go and bring licence before u get it back.
U have 40k fine on ur car, the day VIO stop u, u go pay the fine plus tax clearance and fix any other coma for ur car before they let you go. Prevention is always better than cure.

Not quality, but how fast your phone can respond to request.

Ram and internet speed matters alot.

Always have a valid DL when driving. Recently I renewed my papers with one of my friend(VIO office Edmund crescent) he's the boss in his section. I forgot that my DL had expired. 2 days after, VIO officers stopped me before waec junction inward jibowu. I had seen them at the yabatech junction but I was so sure I had complete papers. I stopped and pulled over and then told the guy politely that I usually do my papers at your office with so so person, unfortunately he isn't known with the name. He asked for my DL and I gave it to him. Then he said it has expired. I said give me let me see. He refused and showed me from afar, but I couldn't see it so I told him that we should go to their office since it's close by. They said I won't drive and they dragged my key with me in the ignition. My car was unlocked. They overpowered me and collected it and I succumbed and told them to drive to their office. When we got there I called my friend. He said I would have settled with them or even call him immediately. Told him I was too sure I had everything complete and that if I knew I would have done it with him. That I thought they wanted to extort me!

The guy that drove the car went into their ogas office(the head of their own section....I guess patrol) and lied against me that I was driving them away from the spot they stopped me, to a different area and they had to drag the key at the ignition with me. The oga got angry and issued me 20k fine. Then he said my car will be in their office for 3 weeks, 4 tyres deflated and I would have to go to epe(every day for 3 weeks) for one yeye training.

My guy said I didn't do it well, but I would have to pay the fine cos it had been registered but I won't go to epe. That I would get the car that day but in the evening when he must have calmed down.

To cut it short. I paid the 20k and collected my car the same day in the evening. My friend called one of the ogas at unilag DL office and told me to go there the next day. I went and viola, did capture 2 days after! I learnt my lessons though(not totally my fault sha) but then me and those guys na correct paddies now. They see me at times and they don't stop me anymore. Met one at a bar close to my house and he bought me and my friends drinks.

this your story is really confusing. firstly, do you keep your original car papers in your car? secondly, how did you get to mile 2 from oshodi while going to mushin?
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Welz(m): 9:27pm On Jul 17
it's always advisable to do hackney permit if you're driving on uber. it's very cheap and doesn't take more than 20mins to get. I have been in many situations where those useless VIO thought they've gotten me(as I normally don't give them the Hackney till they ask).

I am not against one doing the right thing, only stating what should be obtaining. Obviously they will impound your car till you can provide the necessary document and not ask one to pay 10k.

The whole system makes licenses profiling hard and needlessly expensive. All I’ll say on that.

I agree with you. I don’t believe in fighting or dragging with any officer. For me it’s both smile and argument while I keep massaging his ego. I’ll try and fix my road worthiness. One thing i don’t like about all these officers, if they mean motorist, they’ll almost see something to pin one.

You're always on point brother. My mistake was not calling him immediately and I didn't even know the expiry date was on my birthday. I just didn't take note of it honestly. How can I do my papers including Hackney and not do DL? It skipped my mind walai. Even my friend was pleading with the man in my presence that I just did my papers and that I'm someone who doesn't like to be stopped or harassed on the road.....that I like all my documents complete, but he refused and said if this will make him loose his job, he wouldn't mind, but I must pay fine and go to epe. My brother tojah, my guy really really tried for me. The man already gave me ticket for epe, stamped and signed and even made a call through to them. Na my guy save situation. Someone(a staff) even told me that if oga so so(my friend) couldn't appease him, that I would have to go to that epe.....and I would pay demurrage for that 3 weeks!

Bro... That's d standard even in America or UK u have to have a valid DL on u and present it when asked by law enforcement, anything outside that u are paying a fine.
Omo I watched one UK Road Traffic show on DSTV, guy I can tell u for free, we are enjoying here. You can’t compare developed country to ours. We are enjoying is a dicey statement. Everything is fighting one here and that has somewhat messed our way of reasoning. In USA your car won’t pass test with check engine light, most drivers won’t even pass driving test. We all know what developed world is meant about, they make life easier, you make the money, but pay for every thing (esp that Uk).

If I’m not wrong, as long as you are willing to work, future looks brighter over there. Here? Even if you have 50m, one live in uncertainty of the unknown. Our laws may not be stiff and can easily been bend, but our earning power is almost zero. If we are honest with ourselves. The hustle is getting harder. Yes! We can make more money now, but major car issue can swipe all. Fake parts everywhere. Take a look at the man that was said to hanged himself at lastma office. 70 to 150k fine with a minimum wage of 30k 😂 where’s the sense in that? Road safety are not stupid for ticketing each count for 3k. Lagos state laws are draconian and mental draining. I saw one lastma lady snapping cars a day before yesterday, she will soon send it for her cut. There’s honestly no mercy in this Lagos, just learn to live with you conscience and find a way to go about your way. Nobody holy or over smart.

Interesting to say most of these officers barely have one valid paper in their personal car. It’s in this country you’ll see officers using uniform to drive korope and danfo. Boss leave naija… sometimes I wish I can join one of these forces.

Your money didn’t increase once your car picked. Whatever you were picked for will be there till it is cleared. I have already done my road worthiness. Went for inspection and was told to come back. Did that twice and got tired of going. The mad queue and everything. In ignorance we learnt. Now I know you can go to anywhere to inspect and it doesn’t have to be the particular center. That was how they give me that. How they book me for insurance is what I don’t know till that. I can fight it, but once you do and it doesn’t favour one, then the money can’t be reduced. Right now I can pay 20/30 out of the 40k and clear it. I’ll clear it sha.

Try and fix it, as camera is picking u, ur fine is increasing...just make sure u are on the right side of the law. U wey like to go Surulere, and yaba VIO always changing positions in that area.
I hate begging or putting myself in a situation that someone will take advantage of me. na now I dey avoid VIO and Road safety because of Lasdri, Hackney permit and faded plate number.
Normally, I don't fear them because I know everything is intact.
Abeg, wetin dey push some drivers go dey do Hackney permit? sad
I don't have it, and will never do it.
Anytime I'm stopped, they ask if I be Uber driver and my response still remains NO.
Btw, na where una dey jam VIO?
I hardly see these people on the road. Na FRSC dey always stop me and I no dey waste time with them.

Much respect, boss.

Boss, you mean person fit go do the inspection anywhere aside the centre on the paper?
My person wey do my own go put Aguda Surulere branch, and me I hate going that area for any reason?
Though I get till next month to do my RW inspection but shey I fit do am for another centre?

Much respect, sir.
