I really liked Fall of the house of usher. It isn't the usual hardcore horror. Just a bit scary but with a very good story. Not those horror movies where the producers are trying to give someone a heart attack

There are different types of horror bruh. Horror genre is the widest genre and highly adaptable there is.

There's psychological horror, lovecraftian horror, natural horror, post apocalyptic horror, sci-fi horror, erötic horror and comedy horror. These are the milder versions of the horror genre.

The Last of Us, Lovecraft Country, Midnight Mass, Fall of The House of Usher, The Originals, Vampire Diaries, Interview With The Vampire and Stranger Things that are quite popular and full of praise in this thread are all horror flicks.


Just stick with the subgenre you're comfortable with. I for one don't really like Zombie or Slasher horror films cos I feel they're mostly stupid with wack writing and storytelling.

So make una dey take una time when y'all feel like bashing the genre. 🙄🙄

It is a slow burner show. The plot is quite simple but it is visually beautiful. Anytime you want a slow burner show to help relax, give it a try.

The diplomat is a solid 8/10 for me.
This is one of the best political drama i have ever seen in a long time.
The thrills, the intensities, the complexities of relationships especially between Kate the lead actress and her husband and more.
Every episodes in all 8 episodes were intensed, fun and requires your every attention to follow.

It's not easy being an ambassador, tying to juggle between work and personal live.

Series just open up to us on how complex high governmental jobs are, if you ain't mentally sound, you won't even last a week in the job before you summit your resignation letter, lol

Anyways with the way the season one ended on a cliffhanger, i can't wait for season 2, i really want to see how all this will end.

I love the fact that downloading and binge watching old series that are completed has now given me the chance to not focus on new series so that i can binge watch them too after completion.
Personally this is the best way to enjoy series.

Now that i am done with The diplomat, it's now time to binge watch midnight mass.
I still have series like Tokyo vice season one and 2, interview with the vampire season 2 and many more to bingewatch and by the time i am done with some of these series, then new seasons of house of the dragons, the boyz, mayor of Kingston, the serpent queen etc will be available for bingewatching all of their complete episodes.

Maybe i might be the worst vampire movie or show fan, but i am deep into S2, and it's just been 2 Homos and a girl in a Ménage à trois run for who gets the most attention from each other, and a journo documenting it all. with some blood spilling on the side, nothing out of the ordinary imo👀👀.

Probably the hype on here oversold it, or maybe i might not be there target audience, but i feel zero urge to even complete S2, and that says alot 😩.

Now i feel urge not to see it .. 🥴.. Since it's an actual docu series, I'm not seeing .. I'm not a big fan of docu series...

HBO dropping to 3rd most nominations at this year's Emmys speaks volumes of how weak their lineup for first half of this year has been. Something they've always dominated for years or slightly pipped by Netflix a couple times.

Next year looks to be a dominant one for the network tho. FX has had an historic year and with little competition from perennial winners like HBO's Succession, the coast is clear to sweep awards.

House of The Dragon ep 5 was great.... 8/10

Finally the Blacks are making moves. Daemon is still stuck with his rulership designs in his head.

And that sex scene dream scenario with his mom? The fvvk!! grin grin

Great scenery of the castles of the Vale and the Freys of Rivverrun. Experienced first hand how fearful the folks of Westeros are of dragons. They're liked gods in the sky. Everyone trembles.

This makes me anticipate more just what the first encounters with dragons in Westeros would be with The Conqueror in AEGON'S CONQUEST. What events made this people dread these creatures so much as to bend the knee.

And I can't wait to see that scene which made Harrenhal this messed up for centuries. Balerion is truly a dreadful black fellow. 😉


Episode 4 remains the best so far as no one tops that masterpiece. Yet.
It really wasn't great.
Very slow.
And everyone at this point is tired of Daemons hallucinations.

It was expected SHOGUN would dominate since this year had huge quality disparity. But dropping to 3rd was unforeseen for me. The HBO heavyweights were absent. No SUCCESSION, THE WHITE LOTUS or HOTD, TLOU. These absence easily paved the way for SHOGUN, reason why it switched from Anthology series to Best Drama Series. The promoters saw an opportunity.

The few top HBO shows in the competition didn't get widespread viewership or hype except TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY & HACKS.

This year competition was a very weak lineup. Seems next year will be interesting.
