How did they sneak this OANDO judgement on people nah? I thought they said that the case was adjourned to October.

There are two cases, though related and being consolidated: the initial case was between the 14 minority shareholders vs Oando; and the other case was instituted by 5 other minority shareholders against the 14 shareholders which the court has just ruled on. This ruling has surely, indirectly determined the fate of the first case between the 14minorty shareholders vs Oando.
Now, the court has ruled that its earlier instruction that Oando should file a Scheme Arrangement for the acquisition of shares of all minority shareholders should now be limited or restricted to only the shares of the 14 minority shareholders that went to court.
Therefore the court has made the 14 minority shareholders to suffer the consequence of their action. They are to get N7.07 per share unless they reach a compromise with Oando or they withdraw the case. They were stupid enough to maintain N7.07 as the offer price when the shares were already selling at N10-N16 per share for a year . The court saw the irrationality in this and allowed the 5 other minority shareholders to join the case, and threw the 14 minority shareholders out.
The case coming up in October is the original case between the 14 shareholders and Oando. That is when Oando will therefore file a revised Scheme of Arrangement to acquire the shares of the 14 shareholders only at N7.07 per share if no compromise or withdrawal happens between now and October.

My brother, let us focus more on what is likely to happen in Oando between now and end of the year.
My feeling is that Oando will be coming to the market to raise funds, very soon. It is already disclosed in their financial report that they will be coming to raise funds around the 2nd quarter of this year, but this was delayed by the court case. Now that the case is dead, interested investors need to beef up their holdings in Oando because the biggest chain holding it back has now been broken!

If they do not come to the market to raise funds , I can see them do a bonus issue in the nearest future, very soon.

Thanks for this detailed explanation. The thing is so confusing.

Which is better? Buy on the floor or rights? Price wise? Of course you get your shares immediately when you buy on the floor and price difference isn't noticeable really
If you are okay with the current market price and sure of your target profit or investment goal in the short term, then it is better you buy on the floor. You can also wait a bit to see if the price will drop further and buy on the floor
The rights issue is better if you are willing to wait for a period before the shares are allotted to you, and it also cheaper than the current market price.

It has been undervalued for far too long, and the people that know too much failed to see the handwriting on the wall.

I think we should exercise caution before accusing those who share information here. If you're not aware of the details, ask for the source. If you're still doubtful after their response, it's best to leave it at that. We don't want to discourage people from sharing valuable info here in the future.

UCAP is currently trading higher than Zenith! shocked shocked
NGX is such a wonderful place fr! Anyway I think it’s better to swap UCAP for Zee atm (the 0.90 naira difference should cover the brokerage fees for sell and buy). UCAP is definitely one of the sweetest ride in NGX over the last decade💯.

I honestly felt there's absolutely NO need to respond to those post.

It's funny that after all these years, someone would still think that I will put out an information to deceive others.
That's totally disrespectful. ...it's the height of it!

This is part of the reason am usually reluctant to post classified information here.
I honestly knew about UCAP's 2 for 1 bonus and 90k div days earlier but decided against putting it out here. Instead, I informed some close pals and few of my subscribers.
It's also why I've had to cut down on the analysis I put out here. There was a time I used to analyze virtually every company financial statement to help guide others, but still receive snide remarks and destructive criticisms from persons who for some inexplicable reason, turned out to be humans.

I may not be a rich guy, but I am rich at keeping integrity. ...I have a reputation to protect and I don't take that for granted.

Some very good and honest members have had to leave this platform (some even deleted their A/c) because of these ungrateful and often self-centered elements.

Well for me, if and when I decide to do things or offer help, I do it first for the sake of Devine who's the giver of every good gift and sometimes because I just wish to "pay it forward"... NOT for man.
Some humans are disgusting to say the least!

But frankly, these things don't bother me. wink cheesy cool
My GOAL is to continue to grow in the financial markets and also help as many as possible to do the same.

It is well

You now have to join a very long queue!
There was something about how ProphetUtuocha was talking with so much confidence about Oando. But you people that know too much found all the excuses/reasons to doubt him.
It is still early days yet, but I knew that Oando can never delist at a price below market price. It can NEVER happen, even if they decide to delist.
