Expect new minimum wage at N70,000. All these negotiations is just to buy time and delay tactics waiting for June 12 celebration and announcement.
I said this repeatedly. Although their buying of time exceeded June 12th.

Now it has been established that the new minimum wage is 70k. Those who know how to calculate it should please tell us what we are expecting as our new salary when implemented. I mean Level 12 step 4. Thank you.

To determine the new net salary, we need to calculate the percentage increase in the minimum wage and apply it to the civil servant's current net salary.

Current minimum wage: 30,000 naira
New minimum wage: 70,000 naira

Percentage increase: ((70,000 - 30,000) / 30,000) x 100% = 133.33% increase

Current net salary: 124,000 naira

New net salary = Current net salary x (1 + Percentage increase)
= 124,000 x (1 + 1.3333)
= 124,000 x 2.3333
= 289,999.20 naira

So, the civil servant's new net salary would be approximately 290,000 naira.

Your new salary might be about #164,000 or #194,000. It's a toss-up between these two figures.
This is only a guestimate.

My colleague told us that level 13 officer in Edo state under their current minimum wage of N70,000 received N400,000 plus.

Your calculation will not be far from reality.

That is fallacy of oversimplification. Lol.

Kindly note that the minimum wage benefits the lower grade workers more. What will be added to your current pay won't be more than 50K

wrong . Why it is happening like that is because of the consequential wage adjustments carried out on higher levels by various employers . If employers should leave it the way it is . A level 13 staff will earn over 300k

How much does a Federal civil servant on level 8/4 earn, based on the 30K minimum wage?
Just 73K per month. The 30K was for those on grade level 1. So the adjustment is right from the salaries and wages commission and it affect FG workers on higher grade level.

I repeat, in this 70K regime, no senior staff should expect an addition of more than 50K

depending on the ministry. Department or agency . Some federal workers on level 8 earn up to 140 while others earn around 80k. so you're wrong brother

Now listen, your first salary was based on 18K minimum wage, and upon announcement of 30K minimum wage, many months later an amount about 18K representing 60% of 30K, was added to your salary as 30k minimum wage implementation. And the higher your level, the lower the amount you get out of the minimum wage. Now that it's 70k, if we are to get 60% of 70k, after their adjustment, that is 42K. So my point is valid. Anyone here who raises their hope above 50K will chop breakfast when they see their alert.

New minimum wage determination.
Solution
Determine the new net salary by calculating the percentage increase in the new minimum wage.
Current minimum wage is 3000
New minimum wage is 70000
New minus old = 70000-30000/30000×100=133.33%
Net pay=124000
New salary= current net×[1+percentage increase]
=124000×1(1+1.3333)
=128000×2.3333
=#298.862.20

my man . See eh . After the last minimum wage . Level 8 earning 65k would have moved up to 108k or thereabout but different employers used what is known as consequential adjustment to adjust the increase of workers on higher level to what the enjoyer is comfortable in paying . Is the same thing now . All things being equal a level twelve staff should be earning above 200k but CONSEQUENTIAL ADJUSTMENT may not allow this to happen and we may end up seeing about 40 to 50k on top our net pay
