Corruption everywhere

Till date Nigeria has been unable to release the list of school children fed during COVID-19 and cash support beneficiaries, an affair involving hundreds of billions of Naira.

If you see a situation where verifiable names of beneficiaries are released, then that alone is so encouraging because transparency is an enemy of corruption.

Genius, see the original question we're trying to answer below. You've been told it's because they have this perception that Nigerians take their women and jobs and engage in drug dealing and scams. Instead of presenting a counter you're fixated on some moronic "how". If you're told there is a perception Igbos like money, your response shouldn't be some idiotic "how"!

from the screenshot, can you pls show me the question that was asked that you say "we're trying to answer"?

who are the "we"?

you claimed that

DaddyCoool:

Simple: Nigerians take their women and jobs, and many deal drugs and scams. You'd hate them too if it were you

based on your claims,

how did nigerians take their women and their jobs?

how many nigerians live in south africa that you say "many deal drugs and scams"?

South Africa is not Europe neither is it Us....we are a developing country with lots of socio-economic issues. With that being said,USA and Europe paid foreign artists the same money they paid their artists during this period? grin. Stop lying. In South Africa refugees and PR holders do recieve the same assistance as South Africans and no one is complaining. But this is a different issue. How does a foreign artists who should be feeding himself recieve such benefits from a foreign country, name the European country that has done such nonsense?. Artists are ambassadors of their nations and should be looked after by the nations they promote.
those ugly faces and empty skulls you South Africans carry about are terrible. But are we not developing country when we were contributing and sending our funds to liberate your xenophobic arses from the white ?

Now I see that some hyenas are better left in chains than out of it

No one would complain about sport professionals like Nwabali who pay taxes in South Africa, the issue is with random artists who cannot prove their source of income apart from the fact that they're" artists" . Foreign artists don't have tax numbers in SA unless if they are PR holders, Davido can't come to SA during a crisis and claim benefits, he has to feed himself as a visitor here or go back home if he has no means , otherwise we will end up being the charity case of abandoned African artists grin grin. We need clarity on their status in South Africa and on what basis they were given the same treatment as the native artists.

Why will Davido even come to ur country nd b stranded? D guy is a billionaire!

Or u tink he's one random artist frm Soweto?

Demobilising South Africaā€™s ā€˜child soldierā€™ gangs
Hanover Park, a depressing neighbourhood of drab buildings and unemployed young men, is one island in a violent gangland archipelago that stretches across South Africaā€™s coastal city of Cape Town, where even the deployment of the army has failed to stop the shootings.

Gangsters as young as 12 operate within a contested jigsaw of fiefdoms in the historically ā€œcolouredā€ township just a 15-minute drive from well-heeled central Cape Town, South Africaā€™s legislative capital.

Mary Bruce points to identical three-storey flats 30 metres from her Donegal Court home in Hanover Park. ā€œThatā€™s the Ghetto Kids. Over there is the Dollars, and this side is the Americans: they fight everyone.ā€ A couple of hundred metres towards the taxi rank the ā€œturfā€ yields to two more gangs ā€“ the Mongrels and Laughing Boys.

Nearly 7,000 people in Hanover Park are thought to be active within the myriad street gangs that have their roots in a prison gang culture on the Western Cape that stretches back more than 100 years.

https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2023-12-09-gangstas-paradise-how-the-bullet-rule-of-gangsters-is-strangling-the-life-out-of-sas-mother-city/

Gangstasā€™ Paradise ā€“ how the ā€˜bullet ruleā€™ of gangsters is strangling the life out of SAā€™s Mother City
Gangsters in Cape Town are running private security companies, violently muscling in on construction sites and extorting businesspeople. They are connected to entertainment venues and collude with an array of individuals in government and the private sector. These accusations ā€“ and very real situations ā€“ are throttling the city.

Daily Maverick previously reported on another of Thulareā€™s judgments, in which he found that there was evidence suggesting the 28s gang had infiltrated the Western Capeā€™s police. This included its manageĀment structure. The judgment, in October last year, said the gangsters may have had access to crimefighting plans.

Meanwhile, a long-running case involving alleged 28s gang boss Ralph Stanfield and his wife, Nicole Johnson, is expected to resume this month.

They were arrested in 2014 in connection with fraudulent firearm licences and detained with Stanfieldā€™s sister, Francisca, and three ā€“ now former ā€“ police officers linked to the SAPSā€™s Central Firearms Registry.

It was alleged that the cops, Priscilla Mangyani, Billy April and Mary Cartwright, had fraudulently created firearm licences for people, including Stanfield and others, who did not have to follow the legal steps to obtain them.

Stanfield and Johnson were arrested again at the end of September this year on charges including fraud, car theft and, in his case, attempted murder.

At a City of Cape Town level, Malusi Booi was fired from the post of mayoral committee member for human settlements in March after his office was raided as part of a fraud and corruption investigation.

Stanfieldā€™s name featured in the investigation into whether Booi accepted cash from ā€œnotoriousā€ underworld figures in exchange for information about housing tenders.

Laughing Boys gang members handed life sentences for murders, robberies
The Laughing Boys gangsters ā€“ Mykyle Davids, his older brother Tyron, Mikyle Abdullah, Shamieg Matheson and Moenzier January ā€“ were found guilty of murder for a series of shootings that took place in Hanover Park between 2017 and 2019.

Sentencing was handed down with Acting Judge Radiyah Wathen-Falken describing them as ā€œremorseless and placing no value on human lifeā€.

Mykyle was convicted on 15 charges in total, including five murders.

The copper thieves were known as izinyoka, ā€œsnakesā€ in Zulu, and they barely made a sound as they prepared early one morning. On the porch of a rundown breezeblock home in Johannesburgā€™s largest township, the three men pulled on their disguise of municipal workersā€™ coveralls, then shared a smoke. The air filled with clouds of nyaope, a cocktail of black-tar heroin cut with marijuana, rat poison and antiretroviral drugs. Eventually, their leader spoke up over the sound of rain hammering the corrugated iron roof above them.

ā€œKea tsamaya,ā€ he said curtly. It meant ā€œIā€™m goingā€ in Setswana, the southern African language they switched to whenever they were officially on the job. Then he handed out the guns.
