The Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has declared that his administration is ready to pay N70,000 minimum wage to state workers.

The governor disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Makurdi, saying that his administration has blocked all the leakages.

The governor said that his administration is focused and had put up measures to make things function.

He said, “Though with harsh economy things have been stagnated but with all the plans and measures that are in place for things to function, things are moving, even our internally generated Revenue has increased

"It’s now left for us to close all loopholes to see how much we can cash in to do other things even to pay salary.

He added, “We can pay (minimum wage) with our focus. With all our purpose and intent, what is agreed by the Federal Government, we the sub nationals should be able to queue in today.

“Without the workforce, any government will not have any centeredness of governance. So, we need to pay our civil servants with what is approved by the Federal Government and organised labour.”

Big lie like the gbajue agulu fruad. Only Lagos and Benin are paying anything close to that in the federation.

Whereas Obidients favourite - Otti still is refusing to pay common 30k. All he can afford is 18-20k grin

There is no stats that can't pay even 150k minimum wage

Anyone who can't pay should resign

Otti especially as a labour Governor should lead by example

Introduce a housing tax of 0.5% the value of the house yearly in ABA ans Umuahia
For undeveloped land 5% value of the land
Abia can easily raise 650 billion yearly from this from by calculations

Enough of the excuse ... The most important part of governance is raising revenue to do the projects u want to do

Good.

Let all the South East Governors do same.

There shouldn't be an excuse.

Whosoever that fails to pay, let him be booted out in next election.

Abia governor left the group chat and delete his account.

Rather than pay Abia workers ordinary 30k minimum wage, Otti don use their money do dorime come recruit several jobless Obedient with 5k monthly salary to be constituting nuisance all around.

By August when we start out protest against Otti cruelty, no one can stop up from torching that government house.
