How will the conference benefit your family life, empower your wife economically, or connect to her job? What is her financial strength? Is the conference not available locally? Many people have used the same method to get conference visas and then become asylum seekers in Canada. Therefore, it is important to package her application well this is 2024 and canada visa is not as usual easy path again!

You can use ur bank statement as POF However, the visa officer may want to know why an adult is being sponsored to attend a conference for a tourist visa if the adult truly has a good home tie and finances.

just send the new passport so far it the same information, ircc will see the previous one already expire but when did your sister applied or she applied visa with an expire passport or how??

The passport isn’t expired. It’s expiring in December.

From what I have read so far on this thread, they seldom request for an updated statement. So I will advise to you go ahead.

No embassy will request for an updated bank statement.

To the best of my knowledge, the embassy can only verify that the document you submitted is authentic. No bank has the right to reveal the balance in your account without your consent. Safe for criminal investigation matters.

I think you can withdraw the amount you need cause having to wait for about 6 months without making use of the funds in your account seems irrational. Just make sure that at any point in time, the account isn’t empty.

Turnaround was fast. Passport arrived VFS Abuja on Wed by courier, stamped and received here in PHC today

You can do the submission by courier instead of traveling to Abuja, and budget about 2 weeks for the turnaround process for passport delivery and return.

I just had a similar experience. What I did:

1. Used a webform to upload the new passport just for records sake
2. Sent both passports (bound them, last page of new one and first page of old one by rubber band)

Got my passport back today with visa expiry to new one

You’re right. They normally send the bank statement the applicant uploaded with his visa application to the applicant's bank for authenticity verification; they don't ask for a bank balance.

Please can I use my bank statement which is about two weeks to still apply for my visitors visa?

It is a thing you can do yourself provided you have fat bank account and some other documents.

If you know this guy in person and can provide details about his current address in canada you can go to the nearest police and report snd get your reward as he is wanted for scam.. he claims to be visa agent and scammed unsuspecting victims and used their money to travel as he had already gotten visa from agent..



I don't have his details only stanbic bank details and photos. If you also have dealings with him you can come forward with your own receipts

Additionally, let people be cautious of visa agents or anyone asking you for money in exchange for a visa; they are not visa officers, and nobody can guarantee you a visa.
