Lol. Guy. Those two are not boys. And to be honest I have no issues with it. It's better we know now than we alarmingly came to find out with MJ and Pippin

That's just not the response you give to your partner in crime not being called to the team. They've been teammates for 7 years.

There's something there. Maybe mutual jealousy even. Their personality can be such to where it never gets overt but camaaan

There's a few whispers or whispering about JB and his SJW/Woke tendencies that have got him a bad rap in the past. JT is the more commercially acceptable less polarizing guy and so he gets pushed front and center more

Kawhi is not that big of a star compared to Bron, KD and Steph. I can actually make a basketball excuse for why JB wasn't taken. There's more need for a Derrick White than a Jaylen Brown. Especially considering Olympic ball is different.

This whole JB thing is just nonsense. D White is a better fit for Olympic team than he his. They needed at least one other person apart from Jrue who is comfortable playing without taking shots. The team already has enough scorers

They are teammates. They dont have to be buddies. Obviously Tatum doesnt even want to touch the issue. Meanwhile JB is going nation of islam all over twitter lol. 2 different personalities, its ok that they will never mesh offcourt. This isnt a big deal imo. Nothing to see here. And JB needs to get over himself for reals. His game is not what team usa needs
No one is saying they had to be. Just saying it's obvious they are not.

Nothing wrong in pointing it out.

JB I think seems like someone that might not get along either with the higher ups or teammates or whatever but he should be allowed to vent

Why do we like to not allow people express their frustrations whenever they feel wronged. If I'm the Finals MVP in the NBA I think I've earned the right to speak if I'm excluded from the Olympics while the team takes old ass KD and Bron

Wonders shall never end, so we are comparing a 55th pick to Cooper Flagg
a boy who teams have been trying to tank for, since he was 13. Since I have been watching and following the nba, this is possibly the most ridiculous comparison I have ever seen.

PS: Flagg would have gone 1 overall in this draft when he was 15 years old, not to talk of now.
Why are you being deliberately obtuse?

What is your fixation with where they're drafted vs just pure basketball abilities.

Being a 55th round pick doesn't mean we can't look at you and know what you can actually do on the court. Whether passing, shooting, defense

Flagg is the most visible HS out there and all I said was the gulf in abilities is extreme.

Even among mediocre talent relative to the NBA in the Summer League, Bronny's mediocrity sticks out like a sore thumb

How your malaria comprehension chalked that up to a Flagg vs Bronny H2H is beyond me

You can't keep gagging people that say he's terrible with the 55th pick line. And then wonder why they're also adamant he don't belong

Well that's the damn point.

He's free to express his displeasure about it. Guys like Devin Booker, KD are on the team. If he feels he's better who am I to argue?

This concerted thing to silence him is in poor taste

Social intelligence. You can be book smart, and not emotionally intelligent. Yeah its JBs right to vent as he likes, but it is also other peoples right to react to your venting like they want. Which means you can be really smart, mean well, but your road is harder than it should be.

For example in this matter, guy man should have congratulated both teammates, keep your wisecracks to yourself and mechonu! Let others fight for you! Unless of course you already burnt bridges by acting like you know it all. And I like JB a lot, I like his zeal, but guy man is missing some wisdom.

But I'm not saying they should not react, for the most part the reaction has been to kind of quiet him which I think is wrong

I think he's just someone that feels he's not gotten his due for a really long time and just as things began to change with the Conference Finals MVP and Finals MVP things began to revert to the mean again.

This is someone who didn't make All NBA team this year.

He's 28 and is probably thinking I'd be 32 when the next Olympics comes around. Who knows what might happen

I rather he speak if this is how he really feels than be fake happy for someone else

Kawhi was hurt and had no business being selected to begin with

Kevin Durant is battling calf issues, has been to 3 Olympics and is already on the decline.

I'm sorry but if I'm JB my frustrations are righteous
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 2:11pm On Jul 16
You'll be a fool to think JB and JT are not rivals. They are professionals and being professional means you have to keep your innermost thoughts to yourself. You don't even allow yourself to bond emotionally with your teammates knowing fully well that one injury is enough to get traded. Both boys are witnesses to how it is in the NBA. Derek Rose's emotional breakdown after being traded was captured for the world to see. You think anyone who saw that wants to be that emotionally invested in a team that can yank you away at any slight mistake? JB is patient but he is no fool. This is someone who was drafted before JT with a pick not lower than JTs. This is someone who has patiently mechionued while the entire world swoon on JT giving him accolades upon accolades, all stars and shit whereas there is little or no difference in both their productivity. You can't categorically call JB a robin to JTs batman. Hell No! The difference between both is very slight. He got an obese contract for this reason. Dude has learnt to count his small wins and the recent big win, the finals MVP. That doesn't make him immune to human feelings. It is human to feel insulted. It's human to be competitive. That's how he became an NBA player in the first place, competition. He is now supposed to dead his feelings forever and pretend he doesn't feel what he feels because of his team? The day is coming when he is gonna fucccckkkk team and request for a trade. He can only be rated second best for so long.

By the way I don't know why NBA players always want their sons to play Pro basketball yet they refuse to do the basic of all basic things, get a mate who is as tall as they are. They be seeing all these WNBA players calling them masculine and shit and going for the 'pretty' 5'7s only to start cursing when their seeds are 6'3 and below. See Angel Reese being sweet, a 6'3 feet candy and no one is scooping her now. They be settling with Jada Pinkett type of girls and wishing their kids play ball, good luck to that.

Now I see why Jaylen Brown might not be universally liked

Dude's a renegade. He don't hold his tongue for nothing.

I'm amused that he flat out said what we had all been thinking loudly at that Summer League game. We know he definitely ain't making the Olympics after that

Don't think guys forgot he said his boy better than guys in the league just last year. People who went through the grind to make the league don't respect that.

Obviously JB didn't know. Must be hell to be conscious of every single thing you say even in close quarters with your lady in public. Celebs go through a lot man

Lol. The only way he can shut critics up is with his play. Nobody cares about all this waffling.

If he can produce like this last game and at least shows he belongs then folks will lay off him.

Don't tell us someone is better than actual pros and think we won't hold you to that

It's sad but that's the risk you take when you go out of your way to disapprove your son's choice of spouse.

It's different if you can disinherit him but if he's the breadwinner you're fvcked. Cos women don't forget. I'm almost certain if they were nicer to the wife she would go out of her way to draw them closer after Kobe died

Men can be militant over women once they're whipped and then they also did some shady things trying to sell his stuff without his consent. That further drove the wedge. Overall just a really tragic story

You know the haters are beginning to run out of ideas when they start scrutinizing a 55th pick's Summer league performance. When guys who were picked far ahead of Bronny are busy stinking up the joint.

Seems our Nepo baby is showing signs of life.

The scrutiny is never going to stop. When you tell us your boy is better than guys in League pass. When the puppet coach says he wasn't given the spot on the roster. And the team signs a 55th pick to 4 year guaranteed deal. You better show and prove. Nobody critiqued Shareef O'Neal or Scottie Pippen Jr cos they earned or at least tried to earn their spot

Criticism is the cost of praise

Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:26pm On Jul 20
As u mentioned in your previous posts, the best way to shut people up and show you deserve this is to play well. They now remember that he was the 55th pick, and so he's playing to his pick number, but they don't remember his father and coach in part sent him to the slaughterhouse. He better keep playing and improving, and later replicate it in the NBA, where there are a bunch of people he's supposedly better than, otherwise we will come for him again. cheesy grin
