A post was made on front page about the countries with the highest military budget in the world. I was dissapointed at how many Nigerians have this god-like views about the USA and the West in general, with all the praises under heaven and all the good impressions for them. This mentally is an intentional design put in your head. This guy on YouTube did a very excellent job dissecting and explaining the position of Africa and the way and reason we think the way we do, he used the movie "Wakanda forever" as the perfect model for this situation. Africa and Black people remain, generally, the way we are because of the way we think and ways we perceive and respond to issues concerning us. It is the reason why the average Nigerian want to run away from Nigeria and the same reason we steal our countries' resources to store abroad. I put videos by others on YouTube cause some things are said and explained way better on videos, but I see an awakening that continues to grow day by day, stronger and wider among young Africans. Nigeria used to be a very awakened and well informed country, with staunch and very deeply Pan-African populace. Today it seems far lost and what is left are defeated and highly White-worshipping, Western admirers, very uninformed and unsuspecting populace are the current assembly of Nigerians. Please watch and listen to this guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD9fhEPzkD8 |

The most potent and effective weapon of the West is the Western main stream media. Americas most strongest weapons are not their military industrial complex, it is Hollywood, it is their media organizations. You are only a tool to them, a means to an end, you've always been so for more than five centuries. |

LocalStandard1: I think the things you're saying have more to do with cultural shifts. I think it's more accurate to say that changes in technology, media, and the global economy have had an impact on culture and education, and not that the media itself is especially potent. 1.) The world is a smaller place, and good ideas spread as easily as bad ones. And the flames of negativity and positivity can both be fanned. 2.) Technology has maybe made people lazier compared to before when people were much more curious and put in more effort because of what they could not access. 3.) Few places/communities are closed off anymore, so it presents challenges for the development or maintenance of certain aspects of culture. 4.) While some economies have experienced tremendous growth, and people would argue things are much better than before; we're also experiencing greater concentration of wealth. |
