Something in me is telling me Dangote will win this battle. Don't give us guy, if a man like you quits, then millions of Nigerians looking up to you to have their hope dashed. Fight on, Nigeria belongs to all of us.

What is FG going to do differently in Dangote's refinery that they didn't do in the 4 moribund pre-existing refineries?

Bless you

Whoa 😳.
So he built it now they are frustrating him by not giving/selling oil from our backyard ( all the oil we produce anyways has been spoken for - oil for loan deals ).
He didn’t see that one coming - Nigeria doesn’t have oil to sell to him

Politics Nigeria
This is the very reason why it's going to be very difficult for this country to ever develop, there are people ripping the country off at every sector. Now, if these person's can frustrate Dangote, then who is you or me that they can't frustrate or even eliminate.

What a shame!!!

Since the youths are in the need of a protest demand, maybe they should protest in demand for the resignation of NNPC top hierarchy + NMDPRA boss, Farouk Ahmed, if such a thing is possible.

The broadcast by Dangote during the weekend was an eye opener. I like when he said, since you are complaining about monopoly, we won't proceed with investment in the steel industry. You all should bring your monies from Dubai and invest if it is that easy.

The man has been part of the rot of the Nigerian state. Now even his entrepreneural expertise is not helping him anymore despite benefitting hugely from the corruption thereof.

Now, why would a highly noised Dangote Refinery be sold to the corrupt Nigerian government under Tinubu when the NNPC denied investing in same. Another massive corruption scandal is brewing up. No sane foreign investors will think Nigeria. This country is sickeningly nauseating.

What you wrote in the first part us baffling and unsettling at the same time. Just imagine we have 10 Dangotes in Nigeria (even if they are part of the rot). Imagine the number of individuals that would be employed, the number of families that would be fed and the number of taxes the government would make.

You think Nigeria can easily produce another Dangote in the next 10 years with the ways some Nigerians and politicians are demonising the man? He's a capitalist of course, but trust me, Nigeria is not going anywhere until we have more highly driven people like him.

Guy Nigeria is bleeding,if one of our own is trying to help us out shouldn't we accept it? TotalEnegies CEO refused investing his billion dollars business in Nigeria but chose Angola because of inconsistent policies. Depending on who is on stage our attitudes and criticism vary. You are only supported by your own people. Let our policies be consistent and stable so that no matter who is trying to do business, you will know the direction of your business. I don't support dissuading our own from doing business, outsiders we see as as not been serious, they won't come. If you don't treat your children well is it outsiders you will treat better? Pls let support our own, we don't have any refinery working now except Dangote, let's allow him to work. You can't drive your own at the same time seek foreigners to come

keep quiet! Dangote is looking at monopolize the oil sector as usual. he is trying to be the only supplier of fuel most especially, diesel and that is another economic slavery... hes been enslaving the economy for years and no one checkmated him now hes been checkmated and he cant stand the heat because he is used to freebies he personally infiltrated Cbn for loan and free FOREX using the ambitious and thieving Emefiele at the detriment of the citizenry.

...and what is the problem with that.

How many companies built S.Korea?

We all know (maybe except you), that few companies enjoyed government help, which in turn built the industrial complex of the country.

How about John D Rockefeller?

What about Meta?
Or Microsoft?

Who cares, really.
So long as the country is growing.

Or if it does not make you feel comfortable... go and build a refinery too and cement factory.

Nigeria we hail thee

This is a really sad development. I wonder what we have against our own people. Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mill has been under construction like in for ever and now with Dangota saying he no longer wants to invest in Steel development i wonder the way forward for our country. In other climes the government does everything to encourage industrialists but not in Nigeria.
