Why not enlighten us with detailed explanations and evidence?

Please start here: "There was also a lot of money laundering through predatory pricing that took a lot of businesses down.”

Can you explain how predatory pricing can be used for money laundering?

Good luck!

How can uneducated foo.l explain words he has never heard before?

Aisha Yesufu is also a Batist grin . You might not like PBAT but he's not like other vegetables that we previously had as presidents and won't tolerate any form of monopoly that brought down our economy to this stage. How I wish the emergency lovers & Sympathizers of Dangote can take a moment to have a rethink.
1. How did we benefit from Dangote's homemade cement? His cement is even more expensive than the imported ones.
2. His fertilizers is as expensive as the imported ones?
3. Dangote was part of those who caused the avoidable debt we have as a nation. Emefiele & PMB had to borrow loans to subsidized the USD for Dangote to build his refinery.
4. when the national treasure was run dry bcs of government pet like him, the PMB administration had to use our crude to borrow loans in advance from AFDB. And that's why Nigeria will have to pay the debt with 40-55% of its crude
5 The same greedy Dangote wanted to buy crude in Naira sell in USD rate for we the masses, which is where he had issues with PBAT.
The truth is Dangote can't thrive elsewhere except in a corrupt system that stylishly support monopoly because of tribalism and personal interests. Let him try other countries (after all his wealthy friend has taunted him and the question is: is his wealthy friend has wealthy as him undecided), You might hate PBAT for now but he is all out to reform and break every form of spoon feeding few individuals with the national wealth.
Dangote knew that there are competitive days ahead bcs the likes of Elumelu is also planning to set up his refinery and some India investors. Dangote is pained because it's no longer business as usual.

Not true

They got waived because they deserved it. They were major investors and employers of many and so deserved to be encouraged.

You can’t give someone who is not an investor waiver
Gbammm !
Abeg leave the Mumu woman.

Can small businesses build those kind of Dangotes factory or Bua ?

You need evidence to know how waivers were granted to Dangote? I guess you also need evidence to know Nigerians are suffering and can't afford to eat twice a day.

Granting of waivers amounts to fraud or you don't understand what we are talking about here?

When there is monopoly in government......We called it Military rule !!

When there is Monopoly in Business........We should call it out as well !!

90% Ownership of the Largest refinery in Africa to a single man is worse than military rule. Niger Delta should own at least 30% of Dangote refinery.

Someone put together his resources and built something and you want to wake up and claim 30% ownership from where to where? What the Niger Delta can claim is ownership of the crude oil not someone's refinery when in fact, the young man so far does not even get his crude oil from Nigeria. You might as well go to the Indians and others we ship crude to to ask for 30% there. Lazy, barren mind!

You sound so dumb. Is Dangote refinery a government venture or a personal business venture? Did the government stop any entity from putting funds together to build their own refinery? Did the government stop major stakeholders of the Niger Delta from owning stake in Dangote Refinery or even building their own? Are there not other business entities that are even building modular refineries at the moment? So as a private investor I will put funds (foreign & local) together to embark on a big business project like Dangote refinery, and I will just go around dashing or gifting my hard earned shares to different entities free of charge without them putting down the require funds to earn those shares? Damn. Some of your folks here sound more like illiterates in all honesty. Just open mouth dey cho cho cho.

This is a new refinery and the biggest and only one of its type it deserves to be supported rather than importing. That's all.

Dangote refinery is competing with smaller refineries it's competing with imported products.

This is not cement, sugar or indomie business where we have small businesses doing it.

Bad belle people. Invest, you won’t invest. You will take your money meant to develop the people and buy properties abroad and on side chicks and expensive whiskey and champagne. A man takes his money to invest and you want to pull him down.

My question again is did anyone stop anyone from building their own refinery?

This attitude of ibos behaving a different nothing concerns us with Nigeria mentality is very wrong .

Nigeria has finally divided , and it is so unfortunate. This nation can't grow with this sort of division.

This is sad indeed undecided

You miss the point. Congrats on building a refinery. But dont force your refinery on our national wealth. Nigerian crude oil belongs to 300 million Nigerians.
Trying to force himself into the food chain of the whole country is what we are against. We are against i must buy crude oil from you and i must sell petrol to you.
That's not business, that's Mafia/Cartel Vibes.......No one should treat an elected Government like that. Is he above the Government ?

Don't mind these Economic illiterates with that funny ninja turtle woman. Every good government always help their business men with some incentives, though I accept that Dangotes own was over pampered, over indulgence and excess political waivers just for him to have a greater hold or grip on the Nation Economy which he eventually attained. Started from the time of Obasanjo till now. However, he's become a mountain, an uncrush crusher and the highest private provider of jobs to Nigerians and some African countries also. This rate, a wise man or government shouldn't fight him but blend and control his brand output from being the only brand in the nation and as for Dangote Refinery, a reason government that cares for his people will take the challenge against Dangote Refinery and make all effort to resuscitate the Nigeria local refineries immediately to give Dangote a run for his investment. That's how a nation prosper and not attacking your present hope for now.
