Flutterwave dont offer USD virtual card servicess anymore. Pay4me rate will eat you enough.

Download the Chipper app and create a virtual USD card. You can use the card details to make payments.
Thanks so much! Please is there a limit that I can transfer in chipper? I mean can I transfer all the amount for Wes at a go? How much does it cost to create a virtual usd card?
I'm sorry for the plenty questions.

Good morning house, I want to appreciate the gurus in the house for their dedication in responding to enquiries of the people.

Please, I’m a first timer here and I can see that the thread has already gotten to part 11, scrolling back to get information my seem tedious. (apologies to those who might find this offensive)

Please, a friend of mine is really interested and wants to commence application for the Canadian express entry. Can someone put me through on the following;
1. The necessary documents needed to commence the application.
2. The exact website to commence registration
3. Does one need to get nominated by a province to get the PR?
4. What steps to get the ITA?
5. After application, how long does it take to get an ITA?
5. I know there’s a need for Wes verification. After the verification, where can one upload the result?

I would be most grateful if someone take out their time to respond to my enquiries.

It shall end in praise.

I understand reading so much can cause information overload.
But what's on page 1 will give you almost everything you need to know.
If you have any questions you may ask here, someone will definitely answer you.
You can send me email.

Hi

First step is to calculate ur score via the crs tool. Use this link: https://ircc.canada.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Second step is to take the IELTS Exam and make sure u get a minimum of Listening: 8; Reading: 7; Writing: 7; Speaking 7.5 (i will advise you to aim higher, cos the higher ur IELTS test, the higher ur points for language)

Third step is to get ur highest degree evaluated via WES (preferably masters). You can do this while preparing for ur IELTS exam. The link to WES Canada is https://applications.wes.org/createaccount
Your University will be the one to upload your results via WES. So u shouldn't bother yourself. It is only wen u start the process that u understand it

Fourth step is to create an express entry profile and enter the pool with the NOC of your choice. The link to registering of an account via canada immigration website is https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

Nomination via PNP is only applicable to u if u av a sibling residing in that particular province for over a year and that province offers sibling nomination. Provinces like Alberta, Manitoba & Saskatchewan offer sibling nomination but you  need to go to their various websites for further research.
You can explore the ongoing category draws and see if it is something u or ur friend can work with. There are five categories which are: STEM, Agriculture,  Transportation, French and Trade. You just need to have had work experience in the last three years for either of these categories and enter the pool with their NOC (For example if you have worked as a Transportation manager in the last 3yrs, u can go into the pool with NOC number 70020 for work experience and make sure that you can get a reference letter/payslip to backup ur claim after u av received an ITA)
You can use this link to track all the draws done and their last CRS score and compare with yours, so you know where you stand, or which category draw to go for. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4

There is no telling on when you will get an ITA or the exact timeframe to get ur PR afrer ITA cos Canada is not predictable.  So instead of worrying about all that, start with baby steps by getting ur WES/IELTS and entering the pool.

Leave the rest to God.

Aworhmabel! Thank you so much for taking out your time, energy, data to provide a well simplified/detailed response(s) to my enquiries. I am truly grateful.

I would inform my friend to commence the process as soon as possible cause from your response I could tell that one could spend as much as two years in the pool without getting an ITA. Well, like you advised the most important thing is to commence the application.

Once again, thank you.

Good evening house,I am new here.
When applying for WES evaluation should I choose IRCC alone or include Provincial Nomination office, also at what point do I get to upload certificate and hope I won't need to send the certificate physically to WES
Thank you.

Hi Everyone,
Trust we all had a rewarding day.

Appreciate some help on a dilemma we're having. My wife and I are about to enter the pool and need some guidance.

Wifey and I are 35 and 34 respectively. We both have a Master's degree with about a decade work experience each (wifey, HR professional in the bank and myself Engineer with an IOC)
We've both taken our IELTS with results as follows;
Wifey - L7, R7, W7, S7.5
Me - L8, R7.5, W7.5, S7.5
I have siblings in Canada while madam doesn't. My siblings are in Ontario.
I've been able to determine my NOC as 21321 – Industrial and manufacturing engineers, which is a TEER 1.

On the strength of the foregoing, we decided that I be the PA. I simulated my CRS and arrived at 466.

However, we're unsure of which of the EE stream to apply for - PNP, FSW General, Category based etc.
We thus solicit your wise counsel on the best pathway forward for us using the above details.

Thank you.

What kind of engineer are you? To be able to determine what your NOC is.

Also which province does your siblings in Canada stays.

This information will help anyone to advise better

Hi,
Thanks so kindly for your response. See my response below, also updated earlier post with same.

I've been able to determine my NOC as 21321 – Industrial and manufacturing engineers.

I will suggest you join the pool as the main applicant for FSW
And hope for stem Draw
Your NOC 21321 qualifies for STEM draw in the FSW however your score of 466 has a low chance of been invited looking at the history
The draw on April 11, invites was sent to people with 491 above
The draw on December 2023 also sent invites to people with 481 above

I'm not staying you won't get an invite but just looking at the recent cutoff, a miracle may happen regardless

I will personally advise if you have experience in other roles listed on the picture attached as those qualifies for both FSW and Ontario Tech draw, your score is close enough to earn you an invite from Ontario if you are already in the pool looking at the past draws
Their score for the tech draw in March 2024 was 468-480

The good thing is that both of you can actually get in the pool. However, due to the competitiveness of EE draws at the moment, you will need to boost your CRS. Try learning and taking the French language test. That can increase your CRS by 50pts and also make you guys qualify for any of the French language category-based draws.

Do all you can to jack up that score and I wish you guys all the best.

Hi Everyone,

Please I’m really confused and scared at the minute, I received ITA on the healthcare category but I’m having difficulty getting a standard reference letter as requested from my employer. The reference letter carries all the information requested except for my job duties/responsibilities and i learned this is an important part of the letter as this is what the immigration usually used to confirm that your work experience tallies with NOC you received ITA for.

I would sincerely appreciate any advice or assistance on how I go sort this out ?

You can request the RL from either your Line Manager or any of your Colleagues alongside their ID Card.

You can write it yourself according to IRCC standard, take it to your work to print on their official letterhead paper and stamp. That's all. Check page one here to see format.

Thanks for your response, A quick update that could be beneficial to others. I submitted the LOE with evidence from job bank that most employer do not required the license to offer employment, I also requested for 5months extension incase my LOE was not approved. Fortunately, I got another ADR less then 24hour after to show “Proof of Application submission to CIPS and/or receipt of membership payment”. ADR submitted, finger crossed, by God’s grace next email notification will be Nomination notification

Once they ask for the ADR for PoF, it is about 95% certain you will be nominated. As for the CIPS membership, I'd advise that you initiate the registration process and do a LoE to tell them that you'd be done with the registration within the required timeframe, before you get into Sask.

Good day everyone, please I need some clarifications. I submitted my express entry application, and got an immediate response that I am not qualified for it. I also saw on my portal that my point is zero and the filled forms all indicated "Transmitted". Is this an auto generated response that will later change to reflect that I am eligible to be in the pool or I made some mistakes while filling my form? What am I expected to do in tackling this? I will be glad if I get a response. Thanks guys.

There are several factors that can make your profile ineligible. First, if you select Quebec, you will get ineligible profile. Check that you get 67/100 in the eligibility assessment. Check the "hours of work"...

Convert the total amount in your WES order from Canadian dollar to USD and fund your card with the equivalent in naira to pay. You can add a little extra on top if you keep getting insufficient fund error. ($250+12CAD)

I do not know if this question has already been answered but I just need urgent clarification

I am traveling from Abuja to Toronto, via lufthansa but transiting through Frankfurt and Paris.

I hold both a Canadian Visa and an American Visa.

Do I still need a Transit Visa.

All responses are highly appreciated.

Thank you

Yes you need a transit visa. If you were going from Frankfurt direct, no transit visa is required, but layovers in 2 Schengen countries requires a transit visa.

Hi @NiceTheDev, I'm also in the tech space though I'm not a dev.

Ontario does tech draws and one of the roles/occupations they target is software developers which I believe is what you're doing.

You can qualify for that depending on their cut-off, you could also sit for French exams coz na those one's dey hot now.

I got Ontario nomination for their tech draw and I've gotten PR but I'm currently trying to add my spouse.

Cheers.

Please how offten are this tech draws? and what cut off do they normal give for it
