Just go back to Abia and protest

There are many reasons to protest in the SE such as UGM, sit-at-home, baby factory etc

We know that shame will never permit you to mention your state. Fear will never let you go there so that your kin will not behead you and offer for money rituals. Stop using Lagos to form sabi sabi.

Almost three of your points, underline that "many lives were lost" during the end SARS protest... I thought the majority have echoed that many lives were not lost?

Since that's the case no need to fear "many lives will not be lost"

OP we are ready for any outcome including second civil war. Since there is no election in Nigeria, protest is the only way that the masses can express themselves.

In Europe and America the masses use election to express themselves. What we use here is called fire for fire.

That u think everyone is a closet bigot is baffling

U even think he;s saying all these cause hes Yoruba

This even makes me wonder if u guys are pushing for this for without any ulterior motive

Its not about Obi... dont make it about him. Its just about safety and logical reasoning
lol so why then did you people organize Occupy Nigeria protest in 2012? With big names involved including your president Tinubu, Pastor Adeboye, Prof Wole Soyinke etc. Jonathan hadn't even spent Up to 9months in Office and things weren't even this bad. Let me tell you one thing if anyone is a Bigot it's you guys. So answer him if Obi was the president would OP say the same thing

THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIFE ON ENDSARS PROTEST BELONGS TO SHADOW, ONLY NIGERIA PARENTS GIVE BIRTH TO CHILDREN THEY CANNOT BE ABLE TO FIND, WHEN THEY GET LOST
Re: 5 Reasons To Think Twice Before Joining The Planned Protest - Odewale Adesoye by stagger: 4:34pm On Jul 25
Protests of this nature are stupid and futile and will only end up with needless innocent deaths.

Abacha rolled out military tanks and more than 4,000 people were killed in the June 12 protests. Unfortunately many Gen Zs were toddlers at the time or not even born, and the killings of October 20, 2020 were their introduction as to how protests are put down in Africa and other 3rd world countries.

Indonesia at a point muted the idea of releasing hundreds of cobras into protesting crowds as a means of putting down protests under Suharto.

Think of your family, think of your life and move on with it. Rather take your protests to the doors of your senators and reps members in your constituencies and your LG chairmen now that LG autonomy has been approved.

There are many ways to skin a rat.

Odewaleadesoye:

Here are some crucial points to ponder:
1. During the 2020 #EndSARS protests, many lives were tragically lost, and countless properties were damaged. It is possible that a similar outcome could occur if the current protests escalate. The chaotic scenes from that period serve as a stark reminder of the possible repercussions.

2. The majority of those who lost their lives or had their properties destroyed during the #EndSARS protests were ordinary citizens. The damages predominantly affected businesses and properties owned by the average Nigerian, not the government officials who were the target of the protests. We must consider whether it is worth risking further harm

God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.[/font]

@ odewaleadesoye i don't think your concerns are genuine, for you these could be a paid job. However your points are good but not waterproof

1. June 12 is the most prominient protest in Nig. before endsar, and after that Nigeria have held more protest why should endsar be a justification to alienate Peoples fundamental right .. are we saying our security agencies can't proffer pro active measures to mitigate "Hijack" ... are challenges not meant to solved/fixed, the essence of APP update is to fix buges why can APC reason for once

2. During the june 12 protest, were lives not lost did Tinubu not go on exile but did that deter him from leading another protest against jonathan, look where he is today it a lesson NO sacrifice no GAIN

3. Is it the people that are suffering that we hijack a protest or what benefit would opposition get disrupting a "Protest"
The only reason APc govt & Tinubu apologist are so confident there will be chaos is becos they are the one cooking it cheesy how come they are so confident there will be an "hijack"

4. Protest is our civil right just as it is the reponsibility of the Govt to protect lives and properties .. they must not project there incompetence on the Nigerian people
A responsible govt will not issue threat to citizens not to protest but rather provide an enabling ground so he can listen and understand there grievances 1st hand... Tinubu should be sending order to police to provide adequate security for Nigerians/protesters not trying to gag the people

Apparently Nigeria politicians are taking the people for a ride tew much, yoruba nii ma fii bread ko mii ni omi ôbè lor ijo kan nii eyan kor undecided

Oga naa your pocket you dey fight for, don't pretend you care

My only plea is for my Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore not to lead this particular protest.

Youths should call the candidates they voted for in the last Presidential election to come and lead this protest for them or their candidate dont have balls

Yes my Yoruba brethren, why won't I join a protest? Lecture me 2face.

The protest is a wastage of energy and resources and an effort in futility.

Prospective GRADUATES who are waiting for 2024 NYSC Batch B Stream 2 are many and desirous of being called to Camp by July 31. No government agency will allowed youths to be in camp while protest is ongoing. Many parents cannot allow their children to travel to camps or to be in camps under tension.

The problem is that anything people keep emphasizing don't do this or don't do that, your indirectly telling people to do it. Is better you would have keep quiet by now and allow us the ordinary Nigerians to decide for ourselves. The truth is that media is even doing the opposite base on what I perceive by saying too much don't do it will definitely turned to go and do it.

I am a northerner living in the north. Just because I am not from Lagos is not a reason I should want Lagos to be burnt down.

I think you are very correct because I don't see this protest changing anything
Most times, it leads to violence and lost of lives
Though people are hungry and angry as well. Seriously, Nigeria is bleeding but these protests don't work

So what works, under Obasanjo and jonathan was it not the same protest that force govt to re adjust price hike

The lastest minimum wage increment, if its not protest then what takes the credit

Miss Protest doesnt work, should we go on our kneels and start begging politicians to pity us or we should relocate to church camps and prayer city weytin for God to come down nd challenge the govt why they can't stop making life difficult for Nigerians

Naira scarcity under Buhari what saved the day if not Protest ... without protest are lives & properties not lost on a daily .. na who e hit knows naw

Alex Otti is paying their fada 18K and is still owing many months of salaries yet it is Lagos that is paying over N70,000 without owing any month they want to protest.

Go home to the SE and protest for the sake of your fada

I am not a Lagosian but I fully support Lagos people that insist that let everyone go back to his state and protest.

Must IIGB0S protest in Lagos?
Why are IIGB0S hell bent on protesting in Lagos?
Do IIGB0S have a diabolical and sinister reason for desperately wanting to protest at all cost in Lagos?
The worst governors in the history of Nigeria are in SE yet IIGB0S are not making efforts to protest in the SE
IIGB0S have not protested Monday sit-at-home that has been going on for years yet want to protest in Lagos
IIGB0S have not protested the wanton killings by IP0B and UGM yet are desperate to protest in Lagos

This protest is just another ploy for Chinasa/Charlyboy/IP0B/0BIDIENTS to burn down Lagos
