Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by SamWhite7: 8:55am On Jun 17 |
16/06/2024 Setting the pace in tackling this menace in our societies called, "Get rich quick scheme". Get rich quick scheme include activities like Betting, Gambling, and other forms of Ponzi Schemes. Clearing the air about the controversy whether betting, gambling and other types of Ponzi Schemes is a sin or not. Some of the perpetrators will want to justify their actions towards the "business" by telling you that unlike internet scam that is widely known as illegitimate earnings but Betting, Gambling and other forms of Ponzi Schemes are legitimate and they are fine about it. Some do it as side Hussle while some specialised on the "business". From my research, I found out that some people believe it is not a sin at all, some believe it is only when you do it in excess that it becomes sin - reason why God said the love of money is the root of all evil. But I am telling you categorically that by Divine Revelation and Scriptural Reference, that EVERY BETTING, GAMBLING AND OTHER FORMS OF PONZI SCHEMES, IS A SIN, whether you do it little way or in excess, the watch word is STAY AWAY TOTALLY FROM IT Truly, people make money, even in millions from these "businesses", but in the sight of God, it is a sin and God is angry about it and want the perpetrators to repent. The Anchor Scripture: Matthew 18:17: If he fails to listen to them, tell it to the church, and if he fails to listen to even the church, let him be to you as the pagan and the tax collector. God always equates Betting, Gambling and other forms of Ponzi Schemes with Tax Contractors, Pagan, Fornicators, Adulteres and Prostitutes - all are birds of a feathers. In the bible histoy, Zacchaeous was a popular rich and corrupt tax collector, but as a result of his encounter with Jesus, he ended up repented. So, if Zacchaeous could repent,. you people too engaging in this type of "businesses", can repent. Only if you're determined. Salvation is always available with Jesus Christ. Jesus loves you and willing to save you in this regard. For the Son of God has come not to destroy people's lives but to save them. If you're ready to surrender your life to Jesus Christ You can say this prayer in faith; Lord Jesus, I come to you today, knowing that I am a sinner, please, forgive me and write my name in the book of life, I accept you as my LORD and Personal Saviour, give me the grace to walk with you in my life tme. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Look for a bible believing church around you and start worshipping there. In the church, don't just be a member, but try to join a Service Unit. Because the reward of being at least a Worker in a church is far greater than just being a Bench Warmer. Serve diligently and see the Lord rewarding you mightily. Anchor Scripture: Exodus 23:25-27 So, thou shall serve, I shall bless, I shall bless thy bread and water, I shall take away sickness from your midst, noone shall be barren in your land, and the number of your days, I will fulfill. The Lord bless you as you do so. PUBLIC DONATIONS Every lovers of Christ, you may support our ministry by donating a certain some of money needed in producing digital and hard copy flyers, hand bills, among other things needed to tackle this menace called "Get Rich Quick Scheme, and to spread the gospel in general in nation's across the world. Bank: United Bank for Africa (UBA), Account Number: 2034794304, Account Name: Samuel T Matthew. Whoever receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophet's reward. Matthew 10:41. SamWhite7: Bros, You didn't prove that betting and gambling is a sin, at least not scripturally, I am 100% correct on that. While I am not encouraging anyone to indulge in gambling and betting, I will say that if you want to raise this type of topics, be sure that you can say it in a way that neutrals will, not laugh at you, as regards to ponzi schemes, if someone clearly knows that something is going to fail and he dupes unsuspecting persons to enrich himself, that is clearly a sin. BTW you showed who you are at the end of your advertisement ( no insult intended? |

mbaise1000: Devil's Advocate, below, is the scripture you asked for, clearly stated on the post, may be you didn't see it because you were rushing to fight back: Matthew 18:17: If he fails to listen to them, tell it to the church, and if he fails to listen to even the church, let him be to you as the pagan and the tax collector. Interpretation: God always equates Betting, Gambling, and other forms of Ponzi Schemes with Tax Collectors, Pagan, Fornicators, Adulteres, and Prostitutes - They are birds of a feathers. Similarly, can you tell us the difference between Scamming and Stealing? Every scammer is a thief, calling a spade a spade. Whenever a thief is caught in some parts of Nigeria, even in some countries abroad, what they do is, they conduct jungle justice on them, by lynching them, stripping them naked, and setting them ablaze, sometimes at the front of their father's house, irrespective of age or gender. South Africans have done something similar against Nigerians several times in their country. A thief in. Yoruba is called "Ole, in Hausa, "Barawo" wona Barawo ni walahi", in Igbo, I don't know what it is called. You could see the level of dishonour? the level of shame? Even the bible says the same thing, thus: Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but SIN is a REPROACH to any people (any scammer, gambler, betting gangs, ritualist, etc.) So, Is that kind of people you are advocating for? Trying to discredit my gospel - God-ordained powerful ministry 1 Like |

SamWhite7: You still clearly failed to prove what you are claiming to know, 100 people will come here and interpret a passage of a bible to fit their narrative and that is what you just did. What has Mathew 18;17 got to do with gambling? You don't know the bible and I know you are not even a Christian |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by Dtruthspeaker: 7:54pm On Jul 13 |
mbaise1000: Stop pretending as if you do not know what things are wrong and sin. And for the avoidamce of doubt, one of which is the siin of dishonest gain, which in Law is called the crime of Unlawful Gain! It is no different from women using their vagina to gain and profit. |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by mbaise1000: 1:01pm On Jul 21 |
Dtruthspeaker: What exactly is your definition of *dishonest gain*? And *unlawful gain*? BTW, whatever a woman does with her Vagina with her lawful husband is no business of yours but if a woman indulges in sex outside wedlock is sin, you need to know what you are talking |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by StillDtruth: 1:25pm On Jul 21 |
mbaise1000: Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. And by the way i.said "It is no different from women using their vagina to gain and profit" which clearly means whoredom and harlotry aka prostitution. No husband was mentioned here. |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by mbaise1000: 2:39pm On Jul 22 |
StillDtruth: So this is your definition of unlawful gain? BTW, check that my comment again and see why I mentioned husband's and what I said about people having sex outside wedlock. Again, I will say, we need to think about the type of arguments we take up, you have to understand that there are people who are neutral who will ask questions, you failed to make your point stick. Don't bring in bible references into your personal arguments if you can't defend and reconcile those passages you want to quote with. And don't come out pretending that you know when you don't understand the bible. The bible is not just any other book, only the holy spirit can explain the bible to you. Don't force it |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by StillDtruth: 4:26pm On Jul 22 |
mbaise1000: "Without right" means unlawful. And why you said "husband" isn't relevant because it is not the issue of debate. Thirdly, you have asked your questilon and i have amswered them and so if you do not have any reaaonable or valid question then my points stand. |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by mbaise1000: 11:51am On Jul 23 |
StillDtruth: According to you, unlawful gain means without right, so how is a person who gambled with his money Knowing that he is taking a eosk of loosing that money, and a chance of doubling that money and the person who he is waging against also know that he will either loose or gain, which in simple term means risk taking be an unlawful gain? Maybe you don't understand that every single action you take every day have a risk involved? What is the difference between a big risk and a very small risk? BTW you are the one who brought women into this talk, don't forget that |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by StillDtruth: 2:55pm On Jul 23 |
mbaise1000: Is it not witchcraft and stealing to put N100 in a keeper eg bank and it disapears? Is it not stealing to have put N100k into ypur bank account and then you withdraw N350k? If your child went to school with N500 for snacks and comes back with N3,000 as a right upholding father would you not fear your child would be accused of stealing? Be holy and blameless is The Law and a gambler is steals some fools money and that means he is guilty of stealing and unlawful profiteering among other sins God can charge him with. mbaise1000: Yes, i said women and whoredom, not marriage and husband! |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by mbaise1000: 3:13pm On Jul 23 |
StillDtruth: If you put and have 100k in a bank and go on to withdraw any amount not due for for you if you have the opportunity is stealing and a sin, any reasonable father who gave his child 100 naira and the child came home with a 200 naira something must ask his child questions, The point and argument here is if a person who enters into a transaction with another person with both sides knowing the risks involved and are willing to take those risks is unlawful gain, this has nothing to do with your illustrations here, you can still try to explain that if you can |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by StillDtruth: 3:22pm On Jul 23 |
mbaise1000: In the question you ask your child is it not how did your schoolmate multiply N500 to N3,000 to give you? Did he steal it from people or other schoolmates or from his parents? Then the big one, would you not ask him why did you take it? Do you not know that you are depriving another of his own portion? Unlawful Deprivation is an offence too, i just remembered. So you have stealing and deprivation. |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by mbaise1000: 3:06pm On Jul 24 |
StillDtruth:Hmh, You are still trying to dodge the topic, and dodging what you said yourself, is that intentional? What will be the aim of the good father in asking his son where he got the extra money I'd not to stop him if he is stealing from others or cheating them out of their money? The point and topic here still remains what is your definition of "unlawful gain" and cheating and fraud, and I am saying that if you enter into a transaction with anyone with both sides knowing the risks involved and neither side knowing that they are either going to win or loose, whatever Gain here is not unlawful. Now let me teach you a few things, the only time this transaction becomes a sin will be when this type of transactions or activities makes or leads one to disobey the commandments of and will of God. |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by StillDtruth: 5:04pm On Jul 24 |
mbaise1000: Its like you are drunk. Is my response above not based on your queries posed? eg the one up is based on your answer in "mbaise1000: 3:13pm On Jul 23"? If you do not have anything to say on this issue, the proper thing is to say thank you or stay silent, instead of lying that i did not address the topic as if i just came now and spoke on the topic for the first tine. You could have still said the rubbish you say below without having to twist and lie like a serpent mbaise1000: See it, i knew it is because you had nothing reasonable to say here is why you started lying that i did not address the topic, whereas, i was answering you. Which responsible father will not ask his child where he got extra money? And now we see you are a liar and a very wicked person thst is why you refuse to accept the guilt of gambling and the fact that you break God's Commandnent and will which is that you earn lawfully. But here you are trying to defend MMM and co. You probably own a Betnaija thing. Judgnent Day will settle all this and you will see too late that your lies won't stand before God as Ananias and Saphirra. |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by mbaise1000: 5:58pm On Jul 25 |
StillDtruth: When you resort to insults and violence, you ALREADY lost, and that's what you have done, The simple thing here is for you to defend what unlawful gain is and you couldn't do that. Neither did you or can you explain how an agreement and understanding between two parties with all sides knowing the risks involved in their agreement amounts to unlawful gain, you are the type who will hear or read a passhe of the bible and will decide that you are an expert on it. You are not a Christian but claiming to be one, the bible, the word of God is not meant for everyone to understand and apparently, you are among those not meant to understand, at least not yet, how about you put your pride aside and ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you? Only Him can do that and not your pastor or priest or any thing or man else |
Re: Betting, Gambling, And Other Forms Of Ponzi Schemes, Is a Sin by StillDtruth: 7:22pm On Jul 25 |
mbaise1000: Clearly you are drunk if not you would have real eyesed that you lost since when you lost your sanity because you real eyesed you had nothing reasonable to say and so you resorted to Lies and your pretending to forget that all my responses here have been based on your answer mbaise1000: 3:13pm On Jul 23"? Your lies will only kill you on Judgnent Day like Ananias and Saphirra. |

StillDtruth: Lies? Point out the lies, I insist that you can defend what you joined yo argue and intelligent people don't start or join a battle they can't win, Again, I still insist also that you are not a Christian, so don't start to use the bible to support your fleshly thinking, stop claiming to know what you don't know. You haven't asked me why I said you are not a Christian |
