How much is the cost of doing business in NIgeria?

How is our road network, transport network, power supply, etc?

Nothing is cheap. If I underpaid you for work done, and you complained, would you like it if I told you that I am poor, therefore you rich man must keep shut and collect your money?

Let's be realisitc.

I used to think that Dangote can’t talk. This Drug baron’s Koboko go reach everyone. For your Info Dangote is one of the beneficiaries of this corrupt system. Do you think that he will be crying if Buhari and Emefiele were in power now?

Buhari not throwing his weight on this matter in support of his kinsman shows how dead he truly is

If you did that for all your customers, you would be broke.

Demanding cheap fuel is why we are where we are. Calling people who want to sell that fuel at the approrpiate market price government stooges is why we are where we are.

Maybe i should call you a government stooge for demanding your full pay.

Waivers are why his cement is not more expensive than it is now.

That's the thing...the guy has workers to pay, equipment to upgrade, and a host of taxes he is still paying (Have you forgotten that Kogi state hit him up for taxes on his Obaijana plant ?)

The thing is, nothing dey cheap. Unless you want govt to charge high taxes so that they can pay the man a subsidy...that would cover ALL His business and manufacturing costs.

The nnpc officials collecting salary without doing anything are the major problem of this country. The md of nnpc and the minister of petroleum should be arrested, the level of corruption going on in the oil and gas sector is alarming.

Let all man feel the heat from the Emi Lokan misrule

The good aspect of it is that BAT is gathering powerful enemies and at this rate, the chances that he will return in 2027 keep reducing as powerful and wealthly forces coalesce with the masses to work against him. That bodes well for the common man because BAT is the worst thing to befall this country since independence.

Screw dongote.. he is a business politician who has profited form the power disparity between the north and rest of the country. Am not saying he has not work had for his money, am saying like white privilege their are some advantage naturally ascribe to you by share fact you represent a certain power block fraction in this case the north. Its natural. Am not judging it. Am just saying it's what it's is.

Tinubu will hold him for a while and review the whole agreement. This was license at a time the north held power so everything will be reviewed. Dongote has no right to own refinery that oil residue in South south. The north won't take it if it was reversed..so the refinery contract need to be revisited. All parties need to be present. The north elites are just hiding behind dangote. It's not fair. Once that contract has been reviewed all stake holders will be duly represent.

Try reread to get my point.

Wittyness.

I understand you guys. You are socialists at heart.

You want things to be cheap and cheap as can be..from food to housing to all other stuff.

I get you. But the sad thing is that it is impossible. A lot of countries tried what you want, and they ended up being impoverished eventually because the debts got too much.

Plus, is BUA, Lafarge and IBETO government stooge too? Are the many companies that have refineries coming up government stooge?

(Plus yes, government has helped dangote....because it is in the interest of government to do so. If they had not, dangote would have been an importer and all the jobs his industries create would have been non-existent)

You hate capitalism. Nothing wrong with that. But at the end, people have got to be paid...and that is why we cannot have cement at N400 as you want it now.

And yes, you can say I don't comprehend you. I do, very well. You don't know it.

Yeah, other countries sell cement at prices that are close to, or higher than Nigeria

A 100 kg bag of dangote costs 44000 in ethiopia. IN Nigeria is 28000 naira.

It is cheaper in other countries, eg Zambia

But bros, NIgeria is a mess, so prices are higher. That is why you have to vote good government in the first place, and stop complaining.

It is Dangote vs Asiwaju and his nephews!

Dangote ground is clear, if you build refinery in Nigeria, sell to Nigerians but you can not be controlling Policies in Nigeria and also have a refinery or blending plants in Europe!

Wallahi..... Asiwaju is going in 2027..... I trust Dangote and he brothers tondo the needful. That's if Asiwaju Govt reach 2027 Sha ..
i see what u are saying but u do not know Bola Tinubu, he will rig his way in and nothing will happen, he does not care about rule of law. That is his way. From the day he was sworn in he has started strategizing for 2nd term, 2nd term agenda is much more important to him than the state of the economy, He is going to have both Wike and Fubara on his side, they are going to be more brutal with the rigging in Lagos in 2027, you will be shocked the numbers that will come out of Kano. Bola Tinubu is the master of creating a 1-party state, watch how PDP will appear weaker than it was in 2023, watch how plenty freedome fighters will start springing up party now, a lot of them are being used by decoy but they do not know, Femi Falana said the other day that him and some people are in the process of floating a party that will save Nigerians, is that not voters of Petre Obi's LP that will be moved again? Tinubu will divide whichever state he can divide and rig all the ones he can rig, the same way they wrote results in Lagos, Plateau and Rivers, now they have power, they have INEC totally, they have military, they have police, watch how he is going to move.
We warned Nigerians, 4 years vote for Tinubu na indirect 8 years

Dangote's refinery was meant to be a game-changer for Nigeria, but it’s now caught in a messy power struggle. The conflict highlights the tough spot Nigeria's economy is in caught between needing big investments and dealing with entrenched interests

Because a working local refinery needs subsidy to go, which means in theory, prices could be between N1200-1500 per liter for petrol

High petrol prices do not win votes.

“Some critics say they fear a monopoly but omit to mention a status quo that relies on imports, importers and intermediaries.”There’s unlikely to be a winner in this clash of titans, and ordinary Nigerians will also pay a hefty price.

Tinubu's government does not give a damn about the future of Nigeria. Because why would he be waging war against indigenous industries and Dangote in particular and choe imported crude which has been a serious headache to the economy.
Someone invested billions of dollars and because you find nothing incriminating to nail him you went fighting against his reputation saying his activities are monopolistic and his diesel has high fuel content
